"Dammit" she whispered and wiped the bloody scratch on her face while removing crimson hair strands to improve her vision. Her narrowed eyes made her scar stand out even more. Not detecting her enemy's silhouette through the blackness she took a moment to lean against the wall. She groaned in pain as she removed a black arrow stuck in the flesh of her thigh. As she pressed her palm onto her waist, the pain was renewed and her hand was painted with her own blood.
"Dammit" she swore again. Sound of footsteps made her grab her only weaponry, a pair of daggers tied with thongs onto her back. Having calculated the approximate position of the one who hunted her down she followed her instincts deeper into the Noxian underworld.
"You can't run forever" a voice echoed from a small distance behind. A calm, concentrated voice, slightly sadistic... It was obvious that he enjoyed the chase.
Don't Save MeAs an atheist, I see things all the time, telling me about this god or that god, religion fueled attacks, racist cults, harassment at military funerals, and bigotry. Some call me hopeless, immoral, an infidel, an antichrist, the devil, blind, and countless other derogatory names. I'm told I'll burn in hell, that good deeds alone won't get me into paradise, and if I don't repent for my blasphemy, I am doomed to suffer. As a religious person (hypothetically) you see a moral obligation to convert me before it's too late.Don't Save Me7 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
People ask me how I can be moral if there is no god? My reply: love; empathy; individuals of all cultures, but their words, not their god(s)'; logic; in short, I'm moral because it's what I think is right. Why do you follow the rules if life is meaningless? I disagree, there is still a meaning, to better the world for the future, to inspire, to motivate, to include, to unite. Here lies my problem with religion: it divides, and unnecessarily so, it, at times, tries to free

The group of researchers were having a good time. The laboratory the party was in had been decked out in celebration. Various banners hung from the walls and each proclaimed that it was Christmas. Large wide screens placed throughout the long space had various Christmas images ranging from Saint Nick flying through the air on his red sleigh to one that had a very realistic snow scene.
People milled about laughing, dancing, and general having a good time. Almost everyone there had some kind of beverage in their hand. Each person gaily enjoyed the celebration. Some were dancing to the music while others were off to the side watching those who were dancing.
Yet, unlike most screens showing holiday scenes, there was one large screen nearly double the size of any other monitor in space. Upon this huge display was what looke
Think. Don't Know.Certainty is a plague. Avoid it at all costs. Don't be certain, ever; think, don't know. Crusaders were certain their actions were right; the radical terrorists are certain they were doing good; many criminals are certain they won't get caught. They knew, but didn't think. Think. Don't ever just accept something, follow the evidence. Don't just accept there is evidence, study it, experience it firsthand, if possible. Think. Society stabilizes through doubt, not certainty, knowing leads to not trying, not learning. Knowing isn't really knowing, it's a combination of faith and apathy. Thinking is security, a blend of skepticism and activism, curiosity and caring, initiative and interaction. Don't just trust, justify rationally, and rationalize justly. Trust is good, only if it is trustworthy. Don't just know, think.

We can kill a million people with one well-placed bomb
We can knock down towers with planes, killing thousands

We can deny science
We can blame science for ignorance
We can sell out arenas for fighting matches
That is all easy, what's really tough, what we can't seem to do, is get along.

My Heart, Your Light CH 5Garen arrived to the Institute of War by the middle of the afternoon and was summoned by Jarvan as soon as he crossed the front door. He knew exactly what he other wanted to talk about so he sighed deeply and got mentally prepared for being scolded once more over Lux's actions. "I'm seriously getting tired of this ". Garen: *Sighs* She decided to travel on her own this time. I couldn't do anything to stop her.

Garen: *Starts to get upset as well* What was I supposed to do? She just jumped down the window after telling me she ha

He would soon die.
A lithe black tom leaped into the air, flames of hatred and lust igniting in the depths of his amber eyes as he landed squarely on the gray tabby's shoulders. A cream furred she-cat circled around them, lashing out at the gray tabby and taunting him. She leaned over to open a gash in is throat, but was pushed away by the black tom. He hissed and sunk his fangs deep into the gray tabby's throat.
Suddenly memories, some not even his own, swirled before Jayfeather's eyes.
An old gray tom stood, his pale blue eyes glowing in the moonlight. He spoke to a ginger tom, whose green eyes were narrowed with confusion.
"There will be three, kin of your kin, who hold the power of the stars in their paws."

Oh my gawd! Ino frantically ran up to the Ichiraku Ramen Bar; her pink-haired best friend at her side. Have you seen Neji today? She excitedly shouted.
Naruto, Shikamaru, and Chouji shook their heads, indicating that they had not seen the Hyuga prodigy that day.
Youre never going to believe this. Sakura grabbed hold of Narutos hand and began pulling him out of his stool; Ino similarly began dragging her two teammates.
Whats going on? Naruto asked; extremely disappointed that he had been pulled away from his ramen before hed had a chance to finish, yet at the same time elated that the girl of his dreams was holding his hand.
Just wait. Ino wickedly sneered; clearly very excited with what they were about to show the boys.
Troublesome. Shikamaru mumbled under his breath; allowing himself to be pulle

There is still so much more
I have passion
But not a passion

Until a blue moon rises, a great tree must stand strong in the devastating wake of the siren's song.
Pinekit paced just inside the nursery, his ears twitching. When would Foxstar call the Clan meeting? The kit, who had grown large, had counted down to this day for the last three moons! For the past week he'd hardly had a wink of sleep, much to Sweetbriar and Redkit's dismay. Even Goldwing had stopped by and told him to get some rest or he'd fall asleep on his paws during his apprentice naming ceremony.
With a surge of excitement, Pinekit spotted Foxstar jumping down from his den. That must have meant he'd announce Pinekit and Redkit's apprentice names, right? With his muscles tight, Pinekit waited f

Two as one, living life as a twin,
My brother smiles when he knows I'm about to grin,
First day of primary school, I couldn't wait to be,
A student of learning, my brother always next to me,
Standing tall, standing next to one another,
Creates security, the warm arms of our mother,
Lying in bed, out parents turn off the light,
As we discuss what is wrong and what is right,
Following a shower, I return to my room to change,
Sharing all information with one another, a useful exchange,
Father purchases a computer, a purchase of trust,
We stay up late, giving into ignorant lust,
Web sites are explored, we learn,
Smiles that don't fail, a lasting burn,
As my brother sleeps, I search the screen,
Finding gay footage of a teen,
He lays in bed touching his penis for fun,
I think of one topic, why does the camera man call him son?
Another boy enters and removes clothes,
Bends over the bed, a familiar pose,
My twin brother speaks from behind,
Covering his penis

But is that really what you want ?
Think about it. Eternity. Not a year. Not fifty years. Not a thousand years. Forever. I do not think that anything lasts for eternity, and with good reason-
The thing I love most about life is that it's spontaneous. Nothing ever stops. Everything is unknown until learnt. And most of all, knowing it could be gone soon. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe in a year. That's my motivation, knowing that it could soon all be gone, so I should see it all, breathe it all and know it all before that day.
An afterlife like heaven would take that away. Why do my GCSE's ? You don't need any qualifications in heaven. Why travel ? I'll have years to do what I want in heaven.
The spontaneity goes. The rush of life goes. Life slows and becomes a meaningless and dull trickle. Even death loses it's power over us.

Sorreltail had had two kits. One was a light brown tabby she-cat with white paws. The other was a tortoiseshell tom-kit. The queen named her kits Leafkit and Larkkit.
Jayfeather had also heard that Tawnypelt had giving birth to a kit, from Rowanclaw. The dark brown tom described the kit to look like the older Brambleclaw. Could there be a tie between the kits Leafkit and Bramblekit?
A few days passed as Jayfeather decided to go look for herbs.
The gray tom walked towards the ShadowClan-ThunderClan boundary-line. He heard a small cry. The tom ran passed a few trees and scented a she-cat....and blood.
"Who are you?" she cried, fear rang in her voice.
"My name is Jayfeather. What happened?"
"I-I'm having kits, but my mate fled when he scented cats near us...It was a large group." The she-cat pointed towards ShadowClan.

My every muscle and sinew taut with potential. My very fiber and core, prepared for the hunt. Wary or not, my prey's fall is inevitable.
This is my soul. A tangible thing, it thirsts and hungers, life independent of its vessel. It is sustained, yes, but not quenched. Never quenched.
It is a growing thing, you see, and as such, it requires more fuel.
Once, it was sated. Appeasement was simple, it was an infant. A fetus, growing within me, accepting of my nourishment as its own.
However, now my child is preparing to leave me, and craves freedom. Its tastes are those that I have never shared, and I am not equipped to provide for them.
It has been growing distant and cold, however, and I feel that soon it will provide for itself. This thing of mine, this product, wishes to seek pleasures beyond me, that I never cared to give it.
I say, let it have those pleasures. It is its own thing.
Perhaps it is time I let it go.
