I want to be something, that everyone looks up to,
I want to be a goal, that others try to reach,
I want to be an object, of children's fascination,
I want to be a barrier, they'll one day try to breach,
I wish that I was something, that seems to reach forever,

The door closed behind her with a heavy thud of finality, emphasizing the parting between the mannequin and the young woman. Clarice meant to step forward as her hand slipped from the door, but instead she found herself slumping against it as what little energy that she had left faded from her in an instant. Although she had said she had been tired, she didn't think it had escalated to a level where she could barely support her weight on her own two feet. It was like the park itself had been the only thing keeping her standing as she had to brace herself against the door to keep from collapsing onto the floor from sheer exhaustion.
She guessed it was the result of having a few attempts on her life and being in constant mortal peril since she had been in that park.

Wings glanced dubiously at the red-brown whippet bitch before him. Normally he was all too happy to meet other whippets, but there was something about this particular one that made him think twice before his usual pleasant greeting. "Whoa there, buster. Getting a bit forward, are we?"
"Forward?!" Wings's ears folded back, incredulously. "Well, I ask you! I hadn't even said a thing to you yet, not properly."
The bitch snorted. "I don't know who you a
Outcast Chapter 6What now? Blith whimpered. His whole body felt so... wrong, it was difficult to even remain standing. Only a part of that was the change in sensation and posture; he just felt drained.Outcast Chapter 66 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
We go downstairs. Hokin answered plainly, gesturing towards the exit with his head.
Blith experimented with taking a few steps towards the door, then sat down, tilting his head to one side.
How do I open it? the wolf whimpered. Hokin rolled his eyes, lamenting Blith's lack of common sense.
Just jump up and lever it down with your front paws. We have door handles in this place for a reason, you know. he answered patiently.
R... right... Blith said as he unsteadily attempted to do as Hokin described. His body seemed to respond to his requests, as long as he remembered that he was walking on four legs instead of two. He applied pressure to the door handle until it clicked, then leaned on it pressing the door outwards with a sh
