Fighting off the bastard Fairies, they were only really useful in Castlevania and Legend of Zelda anyways....

Taken at the SoCal Ren Faire in Irwindale yesterday.

What you see here is slightly smoked and fried salmon on a bed of fresh field salad, accompanied by cherry tomatoes, steamed carrots and fried tofu.
And what I also see, is that my pear looks suspiciously white in this picture. :D

I got the fried tofu recipe from the lovely :icondemi-plum: Thanks again! ^^

As can be seen from my earlier, pre-diet food photos, I love cake, so I wanted to find a low-carb cake and I discovered this. Surprisingly, it uses no flour, but rather relies on eggs to make it fluffy, and it is actually quite fluffy! Unfortunately I could not use the prescribed bittersweet chocolate, due to its sugar content, so I used unsweetened, which gave it a slightly stronger taste than it should have, but otherwise it tasted good; I simply used more sugar than the recipe prescribed. The ganache was good too, my first ganache, which is simpler than it sounds, just chocolate and cream! The recipe is from Chef Aaron McCargo Jr. via foodnetwork.com. God bless! :)

Reba Nira is also known as stir fried pork liver with chopped garlic & garlic chives. It is known as a japanese dish to eat to get stamina.
This is my first time to cook this japanese dish. I was pleasantly surprised they turned out well.
