Don't DieDarling, I am so shattered,Don't Die6 years ago in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
let's fix this, fix this
before it's too late.
Will this end like all the others?
Will it end at all?
Please, don't let us fall.
If it hurts us, we must feel something.
If it hurts us, we must feel something.
(I don't want to feel numbed
until there's nothing left.)
don't die in my arms.

Flames To AshesThis masquerade has gotten messyFlames To Ashes4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Both our masks have come apart
We wore red patches on our arms
Now they don't resemble hearts
Our burning passion has gone out
The flames just grew too quick
We couldn't control how much we felt
We're together yet alone
Strangely enough we need each other
Like a criminal needs a noose
And if we could we'd cut the knot
Both of us would just let go
Each day feels just like house arrest
Somehow it's not that awkward
The sex is good but it feels empty
But there's nothing else to offer
Maybe we both just need a spark
Or maybe the fire has turned to ashes
I guess in time the truth will come out
But until then we'll stay cold
The Angel only you can seeThe sun shines down but I'm so cold,The Angel only you can see9 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
How can I stop the pain.
I'm nodding to sleep now,
no reason anymore to be awake.
I see angels flying down,
There really pretty don't you know.
Its time to go I feel so safe,
I'm warming up from an angels glow.
Whats happening here I'm turning back,
Its not my time the angels say,
be strong hold on to what you have.
I'm waking up now what went wrong,
I want to go don't they know,
Its not my time so Ive been told!
Ive been told to stay to be strong,
to look out for you that's what the angels say.
They say I cant go that I have to stay,
that I'm to strong to give up like that,
to put up a fight and not let go,
to be your friend your soul-mate to the end.
So don't push me away you've tried before,
from now on till the end,
Ill be your friend your best-est friend.
Ill be strong for you,
Ill cry for you,
Ill be happy for you.
Ill love you like a brother,
yet watch out for you like a mother .
I'm here to stay I'm here for keeps,
I'll always here no matter
And Then What? And Then What?9 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
And Then What?
I liked being short. I would sit
On my daddy's knee and he'd
Bounce me. The stairs were
Vast mountains and I was there
To climb them. My mummy
Would tuck me in every night
After I had struggled into my
Train engine pyjamas. The TV
Would entertain me. I could go
To Andrews house whenever I
Wanted to without ringing up.
We would play in the garden.
My nanny would sing me songs
From Slovakia and I would try
To sing them back to her. I
Would work and laugh at the
Same time. The playground had
Worms in it. And things were big.
Saving the StarsSaving the Stars11 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
"Umbrellas up!" My mother said.
"The stars are coming down!
They're slipping from the heaven's sky
and landing on the ground."
"Watch your head, now, Rosie,"
My mother warned, alert.
"If one should tumble on your head,
I'd think that it will hurt."
"But mother," whined I to my mom,
"The stars should stay up there.
The angels will be stopping this
as soon as they're aware."
"Oh, Rosie," Mother sighed aloud.
"The angels want this done.
They stand behind each beam of light
and push them, one by one."
"What for?" I asked then, soft and sweet.
"I'm feeling so confused.
Do the angels want their friends on earth
to be black and blue and bruised?"
"Not you, Rosie," Mother said.
"You've done nothing wrong.
But evil deeds occur on earth
and most folks just go along.
"For everytime a child's hit,
or killed in bed at night;
Everytime you wrong someone
a star will lose its light."
I gathered up my broom and cried,
"Then I'll sweep them in with you.
We'll hang the stars and patch them up

and slowly close your eyes
fold your wings around you
with the sound of angel sighs
let me tell you stories
of castles, knights and kings
dragons killed and glory won
and the truth that honor brings
smile for me with sleepy gaze
and let me touch your hair
I'll wonder at its orange-blond shade
and your porcelain skin so fair
dream of all that you could be
when your angel wings are grown
and someday you will see yourself
what I have always known
For you are just a cherub now
with a sweet and innocent face
but I promise you that someday soon
you'll grow in courage and grace
And when the day has finally come
to open your wings and fly
I'll pray I've done the best for you
and tearfully wave goodbye.
World Wide GenocideWorld Wide Genocide11 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
My sister has killed a can of paint
Cracked open its skull and
Covered the walls of my bedroom with guts
When I lie in bed each night
I wonder about the life
That the paint can could have had:
Would it have gotten married and raised
Little cans of his own?
Would he have discovered a cure for
Paint can cancer?
It is fortunate that paint cans don't believe in the pill

The Death of LoveThe Death of Love11 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It's starting to look like
there are more people in the world than
there are thoughts in all I've said,
and more complexities in the universe
than people in my head.
Anything is probable.
Whoever you are-
let's dance on the air together,
Last Time in Strawberry FieldsLast Time in Strawberry Fields9 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Under the shield of autumn gold leaves, she sang, knees
swaying. Sing for John, she told us. Sing for everyone.
Her purple shrouded arms waved, joining her knees
as though her dance alone would cure the country.
The candle's for you, she told a man beside her. From John.
She said she had a home, but we wondered where
and how. Her daily arrangement, when she arrived,
was laid around the circle, roses plump and crisp,
the candle blown out only when the park lamps lighted
at night. She told us of the police and her battle to keep John's
flowers from being swept away, of the dogs not on leashes
and the homeless man's harassments.
She cheered her hand radio, the firemen
refusing to leave. And she said to us, when the towers
fell, as though her roses compared to lives,
Welcome to my world, World.
Winter Nights. In winter's cold grasp,Winter Nights.10 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Can you feel the frost bite?
As the deadness of things
Make for a beautiful night.
With skies so clear,
And stars so many;
The moon's light hits snow,
The snowflakes so plenty
Unleash a crystalline glow.
Out on the porch steps,
We sat side by side
Despite the bitter cold,
We were warmed from the fires
In one another's souls.
We sat there so quiet,
Staring up at the endless night
And snow was falling
Without a cloud in the sky.
Ever wonder how snow can fall
In such a moonlit starry night?
Even with the numbness of all,
We witness such a divine sight.
But listen... can you hear
The sound snow makes
As it hits the ground?
With no noise around -
No winds to ebb the peace.
Staring into the limitless skies,
Tiny white sparkles fall in our eyes,
Mezmerized by the tranquil bliss
Only felt in these winter nights.
Sitting on a frosted wood porch,
Our clothes stuck to the steps -
Turning to face eachother,
Our coats like paper bags.
So we turn slowly
As to not wake the nig

His sweet words touched her heart
Now it is bleeding and torn apart
His gentle touch as he held her hand
Now it is empty as a barren land
His tender kiss across her lips
Ignited something deep within
Now they are parched and dry
Craving moisture that he would provide
He caressed her heart with his love
Now it is screaming from the pain
Dying slowly as she cries in the rain
. my confession .. my confession .10 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Every single evening,
when twilight deciedes to take over the bright sky once again,
I take my thoughts for a walk.
Every single evening,
when the daylight gives in,
I make my confession to the only ones who are always there to listen.
This is it.
This is my confession, my precious voiceless confidants.
Every single evening they fly away,
carrying another fugutive thought, another part of me.
Setting me free.
I Think She LIKES Me TooI met a special girl.I Think She LIKES Me Too5 years ago in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
When we see each other, we both tend to smile.
Since the first time we met, she's been in my heart for a while.
She's more precious than a thousand pearls.
I'd love to share my thoughts with her.
She's on my mind, and my heart is fully-alert.
If she needs a man:
I'd love to be her guy forever.
I doubt there's any dudes in love with her, as much as I am...
I wish I knew this girl.
So today, I'll approach this lovely being,
And I'll try my best not to make her hurl.
When I overcome my nerves.
I'll tell her I like her.
I'll offer to give her my heart.
I told her how I thought of her.
She seemed happy to be with me.
So I think she likes me too.
