I'm quite busy with work and other personal stuff, more than usual. So, I spend most of my scarce free time learning and creating. These retreats will happen every now and then. Badly needed to refresh and develop some new knowledge and ideas. No matter how pleasant it is to interact with you dear friends, I was beginning to feel unhappy and with little to say artistically as time went by.
Basically, resumed working on Bryce and started to learn MB3D. I'm comfortable with the former's unlimited possibilities and logics, but the latter was a source of frustrations and was very moody about it. Tried to figure it out by trial and error and why not, some reasoning. A few tuts, more than helping, added to the confusion. As days passed, I was about to quit, but it became personal. The program is just too good!. Now I'm beginning to enjoy it and understanding why so many people are so

Tah-Dah!! After many long months in seclusion, Jesse has released a new, beta version of Mandelbulb 3D: v1.8.6beta-2 test!!

"Ok, this is for those who like testing, only the executable with readme included, save your current program first when replacing it with this version....
What's new in version 1.8.6beta-2 test:
- Fixed issues in the navigator and lighting.
- 'Smooth' option when calculating only one hard shadow.
- New but slow monte carlo rendering method.
- Author names can be inserted into the parameter, look in 'Infos' tab.
- Support for loading 48 bit PNG maps

First of all I'll explain what is in my mind…Every 2 week, we'll take a formula or a set of formulae or a combination of formulae and try to make unique fractals…no tweaking from old param….you should start from scratch. No need to post your param along with the deviation…but please enlighten us about the final result…Each participant can submit their best (one only). We'll select the best teaser of the week by voting. …and we can feature /news all the entries….!!!
And one more thing… the winner of teaser will get the privilege to conduct the next teaser...and it will go on in this manner…

"This is Simon, Mark's brother, with the terribly sad news that Mark passed away last week.
This was a huge shock to us all.
I helped him set up his PC with all his drawing tools so knew how much he adored producing his bespoke digital artwork and how much the Deviant art community meant to him.
