The Communist Party of DeviantART no longer recognizes the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea as a legitimate Socialist state, Communist movement, and Proletarian cause. For decades, the leading philosophies of North Korea have been Juche and Songun, both of which are incompatible and contrary to the aims and ideals of Marxism. Songun alone, being a "military first" philosophy, speaks for the North's abandonment of the workers movement. Other evidence of North Korea's abandonment of any Socialist aims include the removal of Marxist references from that nation's constitution.
Not only has the North abandoned the proletarian struggle for which we all stand, it has time and again abused the workers and peasants to the benefit of the military. The Kim dynasty, truly a neo-monarchical institution if ever there was one, is also being charged with gross Crimes Against Humanity by the United Nations. While prosecution of Kim Jong-un or other DPRK
Is King Sombra Star-swirled the Bearded? Some time ago, before season 4 of MLP came out, I was trying to look for the tv guide for the new episodes. What I found was (probley fan-made) the last episode of the season, episode 50, I think. It's description was the Star-swirled the Bearded comes back to Equestria but he turns out evil. I know now it was problem fake, but it got me thinking, what if Star-swirled the Bearded was actually King Sombra? This may lead into head-cannon, but just go with me here for a mo-Is King Sombra Star-swirled the Bearded?7 months ago in Personal More Like This
Okay so, 1,000 years ago, the great and wise Star-swirled was loved by all the ponies, including the princesses of the land of Equestria, Celestia and Luna. He was so muched adored for his wisdom and magic, the princesses named a wing in the castle in Canterlot after him. Many unicorns set out to be just as talented as Star-swirled. But even though he had all the magic in the world, he still wanted more. One day, while reading in the Canterlot Library, Star-swirled found a mysterious book which contained an unfini
Writing adviceI have had several followers say "I wish I could write as well as you." And I usually think, "There's no reason why you can't."Writing advice2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Writing is just another form of art like painting or sculpting. Almost no one is good at first. You have to practice, practice, practice. But failing that, I thought I would share some of my thoughts and experiences on learning how to write well.
First off, you have to have pretty good grammar. It is the essential foundation of any written work. I don't think anyone has perfect grammar. English is too clunky a language with our thousand rules. It's part of the reason professionals have to go through several drafts of their works and we have editors.
Don't use numerals. Don't say "She was 7 years old." Say "She was seven years old." I can't tell you how many times I've seen fanfic writers do this. It breaks the flow of the narration for me.
Watch out for tense drift. This was one of my greatest hurdles. Sometimes when I am particularly investing in a scen

One of the many (well, primary really) reasons I read fanfiction is for that steamy sex scene. I scour FF for the M rated fics that will detail the primitive dance done since the beginning of time. I will usually read the "plot" while making a "let's hurry along" gesture so we can finally have our protagonists naked and in each other's arms. Sometimes I mutter, "Ain't nobody got time for that," and just skip ahead, eager to see what form forbidden love will take now.
And then it's a coin flip on whether it's enjoyable or not.
Well, more like a roll of the dice. Looking for boxcars.
Love scenes are frequently dreaded among new writers. I often compare them to combat scenes – you need at least two people grunting and sweating while thrusting at each other repeatedly. How do you do that and make it interesting?
First off, it is not required to have two charac

Dialogue is one of the hardest parts of writing for new writers. You would think it should be one of the easiest since we talk all the time, but it is very easy to fall into a stilted, unrealistic, boring conversation when you first start.
1) Listen to real people talk
I found this tip time and time again when I was researching this tutorial. By listening to how people talk – absorbing their cadence, slang, phrasing, pauses and exclamations, we learn how we want our characters to speak.
As fanfic writers, we have an added bonus in that we can specifically listen to our character's ways of speech over and over by replaying their dialogue multiple times. I know when I started writing Cicero, I would obsessively look for clips of his dialogue to study the rise and fall of his voice as he talked and pick up phrases that he used.
Sometimes when I am stuck on how to write dialogue without sounding stilted, I will pick u

On Writing - NaNoWriMoThis is an article for :iconthe-bards-college: regarding NaNoWriMo.On Writing - NaNoWriMo11 months ago in Personal More Like This
With November only ten days away, I thought that today's tutorial should be about NaNoWriMo.
NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month and is an annual internet writing project that takes place during the month of November. Starting at 12:01 A.M. on November 1st and ending at 11:59 P.M. based on local time, the goal is to write 50,000 words in thirty days.
The idea is that many people want to write, but are intimidated by the length required to reach novel length. NaNoWriMo encourages potential authors to help prioritizing their writing for thirty days. Length is emphasized over quality with the idea that editing can happen after that precious first draft is given form.
The goal of 50,000 words was chosen primarily for two reasons. First, it qualifies as a short novel. Second, even with full time jobs and children, it is a possible goal. At an average of 1,667 words a day, it is less than a professional's 200

Skyrim body typesI love Bethesda as a company, but I admit that they can be a bit lazy in design. Granted, this is from someone who is completely untrained in programming, so I may be unfair, but I think there are some shortcuts involved like repeated use for voice actors (especially important roles. Ex. Rikke, Adrianne, and Lalia Lawgiver are all voice by Claudia Christian).Skyrim body types2 years ago in Personal More Like This
However, I was disappointed most by lack of body types and perspective. I typically use first person when playing which is set so everyone is at a 1-1 ratio regardless of race or gender. It actually adds a lot to the game when I go third person and see the different heights. Especially when I'm next to Cicero's broken wagon. HE'S SO TINY!
I remember the first time I put him in a topless leather armor. I was ready for some lean, wiry guy like Ed Norton from Fight Club. Instead, Cicero had the same body build as every other male including those veins.
When I was writing Maven, I sort of see her as a size 16. A bit broad, but not rea

The Mary Sue DilemmaWritten for :iconthe-bards-college:The Mary Sue Dilemma1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I'm pretty certain all of us know the term "Mary Sue". It is one of the most dreaded labels our original characters can earn. But what exactly is a Mary Sue?
Is she an unlikable protagonist?
Is she poorly written?
Is she cliched?
Is she an author avatar?
Is she an idealized character?
Is she a power fantasy?
Is she infallible?
Is she the center of attention?
Can a Mary Sue be male?
Can a Mary Sue be a canon character?
What exact combination of these traits are needed to make a character a Mary Sue?
The term originated back in 1973 in a parody Star Trek fanfiction called, "A Trekkie's Tale." I had never read it before tonight and was shocked to find how short it was. I highly recommend taking a minute to read it before continuing here.
Over time, Mary Sue stopped referencing the specific character and became notoriously attached as a term meaning unrealistic self-insertion wish-fulf
Analysis of the Ukrainian Situation - 6 June*****This is going to be a quick opinion piece, which I may elaborate on in the future.*****Analysis of the Ukrainian Situation - 6 June3 months ago in Personal More Like This
Oh Putin, what have you gotten into?
In Ukraine, what began as a national reform movement was quickly hijacked by ultra-nationalists who then forced the then Ukrainian president to flee. Now granted, he was not a very good president, but that doesn't change that he a was still a democratically elected official, and the thuggish response to his unpopular policies was, in my opinion unwarranted.
But on the other side, it's very obvious (at least to me), that the Russian president's actions here are motivated by his desire to maintain control over the naval base at Sevastopol. Maybe his pretenses about "defending ethnic Russians" are true to en extent, but strategic interest is the obvious motivator on this one.
On the Crimean referendum, I respect the people's right to democratically decide upon secession from Ukr
Open Discussion on National BolshevismDear comrades of the CPDA,Open Discussion on National Bolshevism2 months ago in Personal More Like This
While not strictly Fascist, National Bolshevism has it's roots in some of the philosophical movements of Great War Germany, specifically the writings of Ernst Niekisch and Ernst Jünger. It would later be inspired and partially embodied by the 1930s National Socialist Combat Movement headed by Nazis Hermann Ehrhardt, Otto Strasser, and Walther Stennes.
While this movement remained under high ridicule during Lenin's government, during the Stalin period some members of the National Bolshevist movement were allowed breathing room, such as B.D. Grekov's National Bolshevik school of historiography and the Smenovekhovtsi. Of course, National Bolshevism is but one form of the so-called "right wing" of Socialist thought. As noted above, other proponents of such "Conservative Socialism" included many Nazis, Fascists, and ultra Nationalists. In Russia, some even sought the restoration of the monarchy during the Civil War.
The National Bolshevik Party still exists w
Mage ContractWhen Nazir mentioned a mage contract, residing in the College of Winterhold, I took on the challenge. The mage was a middle-aged Breton named Moira. I thought the apprentice could easily be assassinated, but I underestimated her. The one who wanted her dead, claimed she was a threat to...the College itself, because apparently she focused only on the power of destruction magic and in testing the magic, injured some of the other novices. That relates a lot to Festus, but...a contract's a contract. Other than how it was so far from the Sanctuary, and that it was almost unbearably freezing, getting there was no problem. Distracting the High Elf guarding the entrance to the College, I managed to sneak in, and whenever someone asked what I was doing there, I told them I was visiting a relative When I found the contract, I used my little girl approach to lead them out of Winterhold and to a cliff side. There is one thing i cannot change Is My height!
What really bugs me is when people look past the time and effort you put into a costume, And say something like... "Your fare to short to be Edward"!
I never look at a character I'm about to cosplay and think.. Nope i cant do him His fare to tall. If i want to make a costume or something i like i will make it,
regardless of my height!.
I know how short and chunky i am ! But to me that's not what cosplay is about
Of course it would look fare better on someone who looks like Connor Or Edward.
But take a look at what the person has made! not what they look like.

This DLC will contain Dragon mounts and new armors like Chitin, Bonemold, Nordic, and Salthrim armors. The DLC will add one or more new questlines primarily focusing on the Dragonborn. Need I add another definition- Projection?
Psychological projection is the act or technique of defending yourself against unpleasant impulses by denying their existence in yourself, while attributing them to others. For example, a person who is rude may constantly accuse other people of being rude.
Although rooted in early developmental stages, and classed by George Eman Vaillant as an immature defence, the projection of one's negative qualities onto others on a small scale is nevertheless a common process in everyday life.
Let me spell out what I'm talking about, so that you cannot quote-mine it or take it out of context.
Plutocracy (from Greek πλοῦτος, ploutos, meaning "wealth", and κράτος, kratos, meaning "power, dominion, rule") or plutarchy, defines a society or a system ruled and dominated by the small minority of the wealthiest citizens.
Class conflict, frequently
