"I should have been there Bolin! I should have stopped it! I'm the Avatar for Spirits sake," Korra replied, spinning around to face him, anguish in her eyes.

Feeling his eyes mist over, Bolin turned his head away from the Avatar's gaze and focussed it onto the floor. "I'm sorry you thought it was a waste of your time Avatar," He mumbled, scuffing his feet as he made his way away from her.

Sitting with her legs crossed in the centre of the room, Korra stared at the older waterbender, mouth agape.
"W-What?" She finally managed to choke out, not believing what had just been said. "That's the only way?"
