"...let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

My first paper quilling project!! I'm so excited about this and so happy with the way it came out. I don't have a great camera though, so the picture is left wanting, BUT hopefully I can borrow my brother's REALLY NICE EXPENSIVE camera and take some better pics soon. I just wanted to get this in before the deadline.

This project took at least 10 hours of work, I'm not sure...I found paper quilling fairly easy to pick up, but I didn't get too fancy with all the different quilling shapes, just variations of the scroll. I got lots of inspiration on this website www.artyulia.com, she's really great at what she does.

There's only a few things I'd self-critique myself on: 1. the colored stips of paper I used are ever-so-slightly bigger than the white strips. 2. I had to crop the photo a bit because the finished piece is not very well centered, so you're missing about an inch off the left side! 3. I did my glueing on regular drawing paper and not cardstock (newbie mistake) so the paper is a little wavy now.

This is my entry for the Artisan Craft's "Try Something New" Challenge fav.me/d55ic98

My newest quilling little piece. You can also take a look here [link]

By the way, this is not completely my idea. I ran into the image of this beautiful little hearts gathering together and making a round shaped tree on the Internet.

This is, I think, one of my most beautiful masks and a design I'm quite proud of. Full of motion, color and energy. Inspired by my beautiful crown tail betta (who has since joined the Choir Invisible...he's an ex-betta), this is an original piece of wearable art depicting two fighting fish swirling in battle.

This mask is intricately carved and tooled, and then hand-shaped from one piece of 8oz leather. It is painted with colorfast Liquitex acrylics in metallic bronze, copper, and various shades of gold, with the carving accented by a rich brown antiquing stain.

Available (until it is gone!) only at my online shop...just follow this link: [link]

This is on a 12'' by 12'' sheet of card stock paper, using 1/8''-wide colorful paper strips.

This lettering is currently available in my Etsy shop:
