I planned on this originally before today....but today was just ironic.
Summary if TLDR: Really ironic that I got bullied & pushed to the point where I had to get up and leave during a class on Spirit Day. [the anti-bulling day]
I planned on making this& sketched it out yesterday before the incident, only now does it more so apply to me.
I was bullied to the point of having to get up and walk out of a class today, ON SPIRIT DAY.
I was playing pokemon in class, the teacher was FINE with it. The class was just on a random tangent about witchcraft [again, we're in the Puritan era of literature so it makes sense but we've gone over this plenty of times before& it was completely unrelated, the boys just simply wanted the teacher to waste time] But again, the teacher was COMPLETELY FINE with me playing it. That being said some boys started to poke fun at me for it saying I'd been playing it the whole period. [which was wrong, I'd actually been reading a book the whole period but after the tangent started I started playing] They Started pushing at me with rude comments, laughing and making fun of me. More people began to join in. The teacher was telling them to stop the whole time and I told them to several times too....It was ridiculous. They of course didn't listen & after a few minutes I got up told the teacher I was leaving and did so as the continued to say things as I left.
Afterwards one of the guys apparently went to the office and had his parents called up. The teacher was on my side and I believe that guy got a referral. Not sure. She called my parents and explained what happened, they're behind me on it too....She apparently got mad at them for not listening to her and being "Neanderthals", etc. My friends and the people with common [not so common] decency were against what was said. Not sure what it's going to be like on Monday. The word apparently went around school that one of the guys was a big jerk for what he did.... After leaving the class, I cried for awhile, off and on. The things they said were unjust and stupid but it still bothered me.
It's just dumb that this would happen today, of all days. It's sad and pathetic too. Think about what you're doing before you do it. What benefit does it gain you, hurting someone else? Nothing. You get nothing at all from bullying. If anything, you get in trouble and people dislike you for it.
