CourageEverybody will have one or multiple fears,Courage3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Some of them can bring us to tears.
Our fears will never leave us,
A fear is something we will always possess.
When we face that which we fear,
Even if it's only once a year.
We might be scared to death,
Slowly trying to get control over our breath.
Our heart is beating at a much faster pace,
We might even try to maintain a straight face.
Someone who is courageous,
Even if what that person does might be outrageous.
Is somebody who still fears like you and me,
But who still dares to be and think free.
True courage is not hiding from your fear,
But to face your fear head on, even if you're scared.

Gandalf war’s, der Graue Weise.
„Frodo, Lust auf einen kurzen Flug,
Auf Adlers Schwinge, schnell genug?“
„Warum soll ich heut Nacht denn fliegen,
Wo auch im Bett ich könnte liegen?“
„Um Saurons Ring schnell zu vernichten,
So spar’n wir uns gar viel Geschichten.“
So flogen sie zum Schicksalsberg,
Sahen weder Ork noch Zwerg,
Ließen dann den Ring reinplumpsen
Hörten laut des Berges Rumsen,
Danach, sie flogen wieder heim,
Welt retten kann so einfach sein.

Marceline and Marshall Lee 30Marceline and Marshall Lee 304 years ago in Romance More Like This
I walked into the kitchen to see animals everywhere. I asked one of them to bring me some strawberries. He came back with like 30 in a large bowl. I went and sat on the couch. Marshall Lee sat next to me. I sucked the red out of the strawberries and he ate them colorless.
The strawberries were half way done when we set the bowl on the floor and relaxed. I rested my head on his chest and smiled. Marshall Lee placed his arm on my shoulder. I slowly started to fall asleep. I tried my best to stay awake, but I was just so tired. I slowly started going . And going .. and gone.
When I woke up I saw that Marshall Lee was awake and was watching a movie on a small video game person. I opened my eyes and smiled.
"You're up," he said smiling.
"Yeah, I wish I wasn't," I yawned. I rubbed my eyes and sat up, "What time is it?"
"About 8 p.m.," said Marshall Lee. I got up and went into the bathroom. I grabbed a brush and started brushing my hair. I started singing my "Daddy" song while

My brine-stone memories
Fade in a fascinating light
Bringing about such happiness
In such a cold bitter night
A taste of salty water
Upon my brazen tongue
Now bring about and come out
The ways that were surely young
For waves are but the course of which
Such livelihoods can take
With their dream cases and tow-alongs
...the sea trip now at stake...

And the ache of soul carried the torch of dreams into the sky
Upon scent of mortal thirst destiny whispered in myriad
rapture of folding tides..
Lo the mythic shore, where I — a phantasm of love bleeds
into the ether of velvet sky & ocean hymn...
Lost in the wine of omni-dreaming, for our passion tis but
the humble audience of eternity
In jeweled horizons the Goddess feasts; her gaze I cannot flee
I have crossed oceans of time & drank the song of worlds
My spirit forever slain in the beauty of her immortal sea

The storms they brew inside my head,

The sound of thunder all around,
My words they carry with no sound
TutziputzAlle Helden töten Drachen,Tutziputz3 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Mut ohne Hirn schafft Katastrophen.

dreamer girls with misproportionate promises
and lingering whispers,
who walk like angels, lost, and trying
to find a way back home;
whose hearts bleed abnormally loud
and resonant- those girls with
shadows like ghosts [dead and haunting],
that make them a flavor
to taint your tongue.
if you listen close, you can hear the
unraveling words that once knit the hollow space
between their bones,
you can hear their shallow sighs like
sun sets for a final time.
you can hear their ticking time bomb lungs
and you can touch their secrets, because they
wear them on their skin. not like wounds,
more like sun kisses or wispy tattoos
ingrained into who they are; you won't know
what they mean until you connect the dots
and find answers in their questioning stares.
they'd like to remain something unknown, because
they've identified the world as a disease- vile and
insidious, with the capability of sinking
underneath your flesh and changing who you are.
SorryTo the future children of this world, I'm sorry.Sorry3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I'm sorry that life is so tough.
And that not everyone is going to like you no matter how spectacular you truly are.
I'm sorry, this world is filled with hate and prejudice.
That everyday innocent people are killed either by themselves or others.
That because you're different you might have to run just a little harder than everyone else.
I'm sorry for the fact that true friends are so hard to come by.
And that one day they will still hurt you.
What sets people apart is whether they're worth hurting for or not.
I'm sorry that one night (or many a night) you will end up lying in the darkness crying all alone.
And that you might never know the reason why.
And I'm sorry that you're not given a choice to be born and the only thing you can do is make the best of it.
That sometimes hard work just won't cut it.
I'm sorry that sometimes you might be alone in a place you never wished to be in; with not a soul in the world to watch over you.

I no longer house sanity
only ghosts that were never
told how to move on.
maybe we used to be the same,
but now your cracked reflection
only adds to my years of bad luck
you never counted the lines in my smile,
or the notes between my freckles,
you only measured me.
I'm something to get by on,
but I'm simply not enough.
my watered-down voice
is growing weaker.
and you feed me sugar pills
to diminish the pain
(these bones still bleed)
there are vultures in your eyes,
they know what's coming next
children call on saviors to vanquish demons
from their closets and I'm begging
the silent priests to
they didn't understand what I meant
when I said you stole my breath away
if I turn on the lights,
would you disappear like the times
when I needed help?
I live in waking fear of silence
(I know it's where you wait)

Their own wounds with
No regards towards your own.

And tries to forget the emptiness
And the fact that he is alone.
For a brief moment while
He is inside of you,
You feel as if you are the
Missing half of the whole,
And it is perfect.
He recites memorized lines
And you wonder who else
Has heard them before you,
But you tell yourself that
You're the first anyway.
Your body has been used
By all of those who are broken,
And you begin to wish that
You could be loved once,
And loved most.

you are in love with being in love
like you're caught on the train tracks,
tied down by want, waiting for that
insistent collision to
steal you away into the land
of concussions and self-medication
and hearts that barely heal
and stories confessing the notches
in your bedpost, the lines in
your smile. the sour note in your
liberally dissonant melody.
you did not want tangibility
cotton trees cascading and butterfly
innards, serenading clouds and
(until the sky came crashing down
and you reoriented the earth)
you did not want me
I am solid and as notable as
the ghosts sleeping in your ears,
their snores telling time as
the days blur together
I am not of starry kisses and
back porch promises-
I am the wrong kind of accident
on the train tracks.
I am broken,
(but not in the right way)
I am real
these are the things we carry with us:
a knife in the side and a
cramp in the lungs; a longing
in the mouth for words or tastes

CruxI’m only sure of two things:Crux2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I still carry pieces of your cross on my back and
lilies were your favorite flower
Those last three months-
A silent drive home from the mall
purse full of stolen makeup
Dinners with my family where no one
bothered to make the conversion
Endless hours spent looking at paint samples
and I was smart to not buy the brushes
The line at the liquor store blended
with the lines on the road
At the same time with you
Then it was summer and you talked me into a country drive. We stopped on the side of the road to watch a cow giving birth in the center of a pasture. But, the calf never rose to its wobbly legs or felt the heat of the Indian summer….it never tasted dandelions.
The mother stood by the calf’s body
long past nightfall
and I stood by yours
long after that
Was this what we meant when we said forever?
