HP. 27 A fine line27. A fine line
Being raised in the pureblood thoughts of the Black family, Sirius learned at a young age that nothing or nobody was grey. They were either white or black. Good or bad. Accepted or not.
When it rained, there was nothing else to do then take a seat in front of the window and be gloomy all day because you couldn't play outside. When you were sick you got angry at yourself because you had to stay in bed all day while there were hundreds of other things you rather be doing that day.
It took until he met the little Sarah Starnight that this view of Sirius changed. She teached him that how dark the situation may look, there's always this fine silver line at the edge of that black cloud. And that fine silver line became only clearder to the Black boy when he arrived to at Hogwarts.
Nothing became more fun to do on a rainy day then laying on your bed and listen to the newest muggle music. When he did this at his house, it was of course 'smuggled' muggle music...
Being sick was

“Why are we in the gym to watch a fight contest?”Bonnie asked. I had dragged her, Elena and my brother Stefan with me to a contest of fighting sports at the local gym. “Because Damon is convinced an old friend of ours is one of the fighters.”Stefan replied. “You just know as I do that Hope can’t resist a fighting contest.”I said. “She’s here.”. “Damon has a crush on her.”Stefan whispered to Elena and Bonnie. “I don’t have a crush on her!”I hissed.
You really know how fun it is to be an only child when it’s too late. But he was right. I had a crush on her. No, crush wasn’t the right word. I was in love with her.
We met each other in 1870. She was a witch and one night there was a party in town where I asked her to dance. The whole evening I drowned in her blue-grey eyes. Unfortunately, Katherine discovered my feelin

Suddenly Hope shot up from the bed, taking a deep breath in the progress. Stefan checked her vital functions and then looked at me. “She’s okay.”he told me.
I sighed relieved and took a seat at the opposite edge of the bed. Hope was looking down, her hands folded in her lap, concentrating on her breathing. I reached out and took her hands in mine what caused her to look up. It was then that I saw it in her eyes. Fear.
I gently pulled her towards me. She immediately followed my lead and a couple of seconds later I was holding her in my arms. “It’s okay.”I hushed her. “It’s okay.”. She shook her head. “No it’s not.”she whispered. “They told me it is coming.”. “Who told you? The ghosts?”I asked. She nodded.
“They told me it’s coming.”she repeated. “What’s coming?”Stefan asked. “Or who for that matter.”

It all started a few weeks ago. Me and the other werewolves found an open place in the forest. All the trees were burned or laid in several pieces on the ground. It was a battlefield.
I decided to visit the Cullens. I finally took peace with the whole Bella and Edward thing and we all became... Friends I think you can call it. Anyhow, I went to them to ask if they knew anything about other vampires who visited Forks. Carlisle told me that his family were the only ones.
Two days later we found another battlefield and five days after that another. That’s when we all decided to work together so we would discover who or what this new threat was.
I remember that day exactly. It was Friday, late in the afternoon when Edward, Alice, Jasper, Leah, Seth and me where patrolling in the forest when we heard the sounds of explosions. That was the day I met her.
The six of us ran towards the sound of the explosion, but when we re

“Don’t let them get to my room!”I yelled at Klaus who tried to tackle Dahlia while I chased after Hope. Why I was teaming up with Klaus? With Stefan at Elena’s and Rebekah and Elijah at the Mikaelson residence, Hope and Dahlia had declared it was time for a girls’ chat in my room. Of course both the big bad hybrid and I were very curious about what they were going to talk.
“It’s ninja time!”Hope suddenly declared with a grin and snapped her fingers. Out of nowhere the whole room got filled with smoke causing the view to be very limited. “Block the staircase!”Klaus instructed but the girls their plan was much more planned out than ours.
The four of us vampire speeded up the stairs with the girls in lead position. Before we knew what happened both Klaus and I bumped into the wooden door of my bedroom that got slammed into our faces.
“How is it possible they outran us?”Klaus

I looked at myself in the long mirror in Damon’s room. I was wearing a black pair of jogging pants, my favourite sneakers and a grey tank top with on it an angel with devil horns and a halo. Underneath the drawing stood in red letters “I swear I’m an angel. Those horns are just to keep my halo up.”. I took my matching black hoodie and headed downstairs.
“Faster!”I heard Stefan and Damon yell. “He’s not going to make it.”Damon said. “He has to.”Stefan replied. They were watching a football game. “Touchdown!”. I just shook my head and threw my hood over my head.
“Where are you going?”Damon asked when he saw me. “Jogging.”I replied. “It’s nine in the evening.”he said. “So?”I asked and slipped my cell phone in my pocket. “It’s dark.”. “Oh, I didn’t notice that.”I answered, my voice

Before I knew it I was pinned down on the bed with Hope on top of me with her hands around my wrists. “Don’t even try that again Salvatore.”she said with a grin. She let go of my wrists and pulled her blindfold off.
“How did you knew that?”I asked. “I blindfolded myself so I could shut down my sight. Because of that my hearing was stronger. I heard your heartbeat.”she explained. “I’m a vampire. I don’t have a heartbeat.”I said ignoring the fact that she was still on top of me. “Yes you have. It’s just lighter than a human’s heartbeat. And because you’re always focussing on those heartbeats, you became deaf for your own one.”she said.

We had become best friends in these past two years and I knew about the vampy secret of her and her brothers, while they knew about my witchy secret.
“Jeez, Dee… Jealous much?”I asked her with a giggle on which she rolled her green eyes.
“It’s not because they think they’re on cloud nine that they have to rub it in our faces.”she snapped.

It was amazing to see all those artefacts in one room. I saw a watch and some other jewellery that belonged to Elena and Jeremy’s family, the Gilberts. And then I saw a necklace with a silver locket and a tiara with diamonds on it. Both belonged to my family. But the necklace meant more to me then the expansive tiara. And that was because it was filled with vervain.
Damon had given it to me not long after he told me he was a vampire. He had told me that I had to wear it always, even if he wasn’t around. Just to make sure he wouldn’t be tempted to use his powers on me.
The truth however was that I never wore that necklace. I had given it to my mom instead. Damon always thought I wore it. Not as a necklace but that I kept it in my pocket or something. He still thinks I have the necklace now by that way.

My bare feet padded against the carpeted staircase as I went down the stairs the next morning. After all the hectic and shocking reveals from yesterday, I had found no trouble with sleeping at all.
I made my way through the living room and the moment I rounded the corner to enter the kitchen, I almost froze in place. There, at the kitchen island, stood Damon already nursing a glass of bourbon.
“Isn’t it a bit early to drink?”I pointed out as I made my way towards the fridge where I found freshly made orange juice. “Isn’t it a bit early to criticise?”he shot back with a smirk. “Fair enough.”I agreed as I got a glass from the cabinet.
“Where’s Dahlia?”I wanted to know. “Still sleeping.”he replied. “Stefan?”I tried next. “Elena.”he answered. “Oh…”I sighed. “I still find it a bit creepy how she looks just like Katherine.

Because we all thought it was to dangerous to go outside, we had stayed all day in the beachhouse, keeping ourselfs busy with whatever we could find. But now that the night had came. I was sitting in my room looking outside the window how the lightning reflected on the water. I know it sounds crazy but all I wanted to do was going outside. “Good.”he admitted. “Because I would have hated to keep my dear sister and her big bad hybrid awake.”. “In Dee’s defence, looking at the stunt Klaus pulled last night, I don’t think they slept much to begin with.”I remarked and giggled when Damon groaned.

Things had changed though… Voldemort may be gone but everyone still remembers my family sided with him. That I sided with him. Even my fellow Slytherins seemed to avoid me and talk on hushed tones behind my back when they thought I couldn’t hear them.
Don’t they know that my choice of becoming a Death Eater wasn’t my choice at all but my family’s? I couldn’t
