Nobody knows his name.
No matter what he tries to do,
It is always the same.
He keeps up with all the trends,
He knows them inside out.
Each one he pulls off perfectly,
Even that selfie-photo pout.
Each week he brings a box of muffins,
Though nobody knows why.
He used to try and hand them out,
Now he doesn't even try.
He shares the muffins with the crows
and eats them one by one.
For consuming that much sugar,
He sure looks miserable when he's done.
He looks down at the empty box
and you see a little smile.
The crows fly off and he lies down;
They'll all be full for quite a while.
The same routine, every week,
I think so that he can pretend,
That in the year that he's been here,
He's made at least one friend.
GhostThe dream shatters around meGhost2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Like a broken mirror.
Looking at the wreckage,
My reflection unrecognizable.
A broken image.
A broken heart.
I'm cut by the shards
As I try to piece it back together.
My blood sprinkles the surface
Like a red rain.
The mirror is whole again.
What's left of the dream.
I look at my reflection,
And tears finally begin to fall.

regardless the place or day.
I am here for you
(even though I don't know what to say).
I'll help you
as you have ever helped me.
Together, you know, we're stronger
and we will always be.
I beg you, please, let me know
if there's anything I can do for you.
You can trust me (as I trust you),
you know it's true.

I am a human, not an animal or any despicable creature.
I am not a ghost neither,
I'm a human,
I breath, I feel, I hear and I can see everything going on around me.
I am not blind, but you are ;
Because you think I'm invisible,
Because you can't see my humanity.
I feel happiness, joy, sadness, anger all in one day,
I even fly so high, reach the sky but I also get down under the ground in the same d

I see you struggling,
You have no motivation, you are fading,
You feel like you're surrounded by lies,
But I know otherwise,
I need you to think,
Let all your feelings out with ink,
I can really help you,
If you just give me the chance to,
I'm here for you and I shall always be,
You can trust me,
You can't keep on doing this to yourself,
I can't even bare the thought of being by myself,
You are beautiful, you are you,
And I love you,
So please, please don't feel bad,
You're only making me sad,
You are my friend,
And you will be until the very end,
Please feel better,
I'll be here forever.
To YouI never noticed the stars until I gazed into your eyes.To You2 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
You fill the empty canvas of my mind with rainbow worlds of supernatural glory.
You speak galaxies into existence when you move your mouth.
When your lips first touched mine, I swear that was the first instant I became alive.
When I first saw you cry I thought the world itself would collapse because of the weight of your tear.
I never noticed how beautiful nature was until I started using it to create poetry about you.
The ocean's relationship to the moon exists purely to describe the pull you have on my heart.
You are the bridge across the void, the healing ointment on my cuts, the kisses on my scars, and the light at the end of the tunnel.
You ask me, "What do you want to do today?" What I don't know how to say is that it doesn't matter what we do together. I would be happy living in a prison cell for the rest of eternity if you were with me.
If the stars are in your eyes
and the galaxies come forth from your mouth

All of them aimed directly at me.
I roam the corridors all alone,
Dragging my head towards the tiled floor,
Not daring to lift my head up,
In fear that I may be mocked once again.
Why am I doing this to myself?
I look in mirror with disgust,
Wondering why I was created this way,
I can't keep lying to myself,
Can't keep saying I love my life when I don't.
Poem: The World Looks Better With My Eyes ClosedThe World Looks Better With My Eyes ClosedPoem: The World Looks Better With My Eyes Closed2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I know the dark underbelly of this place
I know the black underneath the sun
I've lived the horror of the nights
I know how this world works
And I know that it looks better
With my eyes closed
Starving children and homeless families
Are living among us and around us
The tragedies of this place will never go away
The hurricanes and tornadoes never cease
The crying eyes and broken hearts
Will never leave
I could think back
And remember all the lights
But I still know
The world looks better with my eyes closed
Ignorance is bliss, it's sad but true
To see the earth through a child's eyes
Would be quite a wonder
Everything so pure and innocent
It seems though,
The older we get
The better we used to be
All we do is deny it all
Continuing to let all of
The potheads and whores
Walk around, self-absorbed
I see the horror of the younger generation
It's unfolding right in front of us all
Yet there's nothing we can do to stop it
Try and try, we'll
BlackbirdA black winged bird sat atop a roof,Blackbird3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Nonchalantly humming its caws and coos.
For there on the street down yonder it peered,
At the coming of jeers; the walking of fear.
It saluted its foe and hopped to and fro,
Unaware that behind the mask was a heart of gold.
But the blood stained cheeks and pale white hands
Reached out for the bird, thus it succumbed to their demands.
Feathers flew in the wind from the night time air,
A whirlwind of darkness only the night could compare;
The bird found a place where it could perch and respite,
On the shoulder of a corpse oh, what a delight!
A chuckle from a mouth that the heavens forbade,
Gave room for the next few words that were said:
"Blackbird, blackbird! Why have you come?
In this unruly hour the night will be undone!
The children on the street are marching one by one,
To innocent to know that a nightmare has begun."
He clasped his hands when he finished his speech,
His shoulders were shaking in delicious relief

If you were the moon, I want to be the stars
If you were a performer, I want to be your stage
If I was the moon, youd be the sun
If I was a leaf, you would be the gentle breeze that blows me away
If I was lost, would you look for me?
If love was the opening act, wed be the main event
If there was a painting, wed be the colors
If you loved me, my world would be all light.
Seven DaysSeven days clean.Seven Days2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It may not seem like much
But to me it means the world.
Seven days without self-mutilation.
The last cut turning into a pink ribbon scar
Looking worse than it did before.
I'm not ashamed of it.
The only reason it stays hidden,
Well is in case I can't keep myself together anymore.
Each bracelet is assurance that no one will know.
But one taken off for each day I'm okay.
When someone does see it
A simple lie comes out.
My cat scratched me,
They immediately buy it.
Seven days and not a single problem.
People may think it's nothing,
When in all reality it means
One day I will be strong
That I can overcome it all.
Carnival LoveHold my hand, My Love.Carnival Love2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Dead lights and lost music.
Sit on my lap in this hollow carnival.
Worthless pumpkins grow on the edges watching.
A faded rainbow comes to an end at the smiling faces.
I'm not going to let you go.
The talking lights are just dead plans.
Damn them all, damn the lot who says we can't be.
I told you to love me
You made our rainbow end.
Damn it all in this old and empty park.
You're worthless to me now and they were right.
We can't be and so you can't be. Good bye, My Love.
Wake up loveHush now,Wake up love2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I'm sorry the dream must end.
It's time to wake up
and face the world.
Reality is harsh,
the people are cold,
that's how it is
and you must wake up.
For you have been asleep long enough.
Time to wake love,
and be with your people
they wait for you
and have never given up.
You can't let them down.
The alarm's going off,
and reality is waiting.
You are only human
and cannot do much
but everyone is important
and life is waiting just for you.
Can you hear their cries?
And the bellows of pain?
You can stop them
but only if you wake up.
It's time to wake up love,
and face the world.
They cry for your return
and you can't let them down.

hold me down
pin me to the ground
It's what I'm used to
after hours of being forced to listen
to the sound of my own crying
my own screams
screams tearing my throat
I can still feel the blood dripping
no matter how many times I scrub my skin
I still see hand prints
Close up the hole within me
smother it into oblivion
cover it with your own body
That's what I'm used to
hands clutching my throat like it's holding him to earth
if he let's go...
no, it doesn't matter he never let go
Feeling the flow of air
from his lungs to my face
breath on me
make me take in only your oxygen
that's what I'm used to
Used to forced entry
to grunts of pleasure
cries of lost hope
cries of pain
him calling names
Call me names
say I'm your ho, your slut,
say I'm only yours
no one else
show me how much I belong to you
That's what I'm used to

Love can be as heartwarming as a mother's love,
Or as strong as a bolder,
Love can be as calm as the sea,
Or as soft as a pillow.
But you must be careful because love can be as coy as a snake,
Or as deadly as the Grim Reaper,
Love is the key to the future,
But you must choose what door you go through.

just to see the memories that lie.
Inside a box there was nothing
but cobwebs and fickle dust.
Yet in a corner of the room
there is the most beautiful memory,
photo albums of love
and presents from trips long ago.
I do not have to read the letters of love
for their words have long since been memorized.
A little stuffed lion
won at the circus,
shall sit in my lap
and remember along with me.
Never stitched in love this lion was,
but love was what it was meant to feel.
So as I sit and look,
from albums of old,
and presents from trips,
and letters of love,
and my lion in my lap,
I cry happy tears
at the memories that have passed.
'Darling, come downstairs!'
I can almost hear your voice shout below.
'Dear! You are never going to believe
the memories that I just unearthed.
Let's look together, and relive the old
and maybe then my tears for memories past
can become tears for something new.'

The Bride of AtlasShe met him when the world was new;The Bride of Atlas2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
when wars were fought in the cosmos
and celestial beings deigned expose
and visit themselves upon the mortals.
In darkness he came to her;
somewhere between fantasy and the real,
disguised as a human, burly and firm
with want of a lover and yearning for release.
She knew him as a man
and he loved her as his wife.
A Titan he had always been
at battle with Olympians
who garnered all of humanity's love
and chose war over peace to keep it.
As lightning struck, thunder roared,
and waves destroyed the earth,
all grew quiet as Olympus rejoiced
and she knew that he had lost.
Zeus then rest upon his shoulders
the weight of the world eternal.
A punishment made more severe
by lack of warmth from her mortal heart.
He carried his punishment made unending
as Earth's coarsened face gouged his back.
The insects and beasts stung and mauled
and the humans warred and burned his flesh.
Still he held the world atop his shoulders

I’m just a jester, but I’m sure you’ll understand
That we’re in love, and I truly make her laugh
I’m no prince, but you have to give me a chance
I’m not wearing shiny armor; because I’m not weak
And I have no servants; I’ll finish my own deeds
I might not be rich; but she’s always happy
And I might not be perfect; but we are both who we need
So please King, open your eyes so you could see
That the princess and I are truly meant to be
I’m just a jester, but I only plead
For you to let us live joyous and safely
