Papa!America x Child!Reader - American Lullabies"Papa?" you called softly, tugging on the fabric of America's pants.
He frowned. "What's wrong?"
"I-I had a nightmare. I want to stay in here with you."
He smiled and nodded quietly. "If that's what you want, my princess."
America was currently sitting at his desk, working through a stack of paperwork. He seemed to be getting double his usual amount of paperwork, which wasn't fun for either of you. America knew that you wanted to spend time with him, but he knew that he had to get his work done.
You crawled up onto his bed, snuggling under the covers. You tried to fall asleep, but after a few minutes, you huffed in annoyance and shifted your position, causing America to look up. "What's wrong, sweetheart?"
You glanced over at him. "I can't get back to sleep."
America stood up, turning off the light on his desk. He walked over to you, lay down, and pulled you close to his chest. "What do you want me to do?" he said softly.
"Sing me a lullaby?" you asked hopefully.
He chuckled and nodded

He jumped a bit in his seat, startled. "O-Oh, it's just you, (f/n). Y-You should b-be in bed by now."
"I know, but I can't sleep. I was wondering if… you would sing to me."
Canada looked taken aback, but nodded. "O-Okay."
He walked over to you, holding out his hand. You grabbed it and started walking towards your room at the end of the hall. You crawled up into your bed and Canada wrapped the blankets tightly around you.
Canada paused. "W-What would you like me to sing?"
"… You remember 'Farewell to Nova Scotia', right, Papa?"
Canada smiled softly. "Of course I do." He cleared his throat quietly.
"The sun was setting in the west,
The birds were singing on every tree.

Papa!England x Child!Reader - English Lullabies You were sat next to America on the couch of your father England's home in London. America had come to visit England after the World Meeting that was held earlier today, but instead of catching up with England, America had been playing with you outside on the unusually sunny day. Both of you were tired from running around, and were now watching a Doctor Who marathon on the TV.Papa!England x Child!Reader - English Lullabies3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This

England sighed from his position on the love seat adjacent to the couch. "Well, America, that's because they aren't Tony. They are the Silence."
You were currently watching the episode 'The Impossible Astronaut', because it took place in America and featured President Nixon. When America found this out, he was ecstatic, demanding that he see the episode immediately. The aliens were just an extra bonus.
You giggled. "They could look like Toni if he was taller!"
America laughed and ruffled your hair. "Now I see it! You're so right, little d

Germany sighed and muttered a few choice words in German, making you pause. He had somehow managed to forget that were taught German from a young age, and thus were rather fluent in it. "Papa! That's five Euros in the swear jar!"
He stopped talking immediately. "O-Oh, sorry."
You rolled your eyes and turned around, preparing to run. But just as soon as you were about to take off, Germany had already ran up to you and was crouching down in front of you, his hands on your shoulders. He sighed.
"Come on, it's time for bed."
"But I don't wanna!"
"Come on, (f/n)."
All the sudden, a loud, obnoxious voice rang out, "THE AWESOME ME IS BACK! AND HE HAS BROUGHT FRIENDS!" followed by three different forms of creepy laughter.

Noticing you at the doorway, your Papa said a final "F' you, Arthur" before walking over to you and crouching down to your level.
"I thought ye would be asleep by now," he said, frowning.
"I was asleep. You two woke me up."
Scotland and England both looked embarrassed. Arthur muttered a quick apology while Scotland looked at you sadly.
"I'm sorry. But ye know how your Uncle and I can get."
You nodded silently. Scotland sighed. "Come on, (f/n), let's get ye back to sleep." He paused and turned to his younger brother. "And Arthur, I want you out of my fuc-"

"What's wrong, father?"
His head snapped up. "Nothing."
You looked at him. He sighed and said, "You just… you look like you're so sad all the time. And I don't know what to do to help you!"
You remained silent, frowning. Truth be told, you were a little sad, but not enough to be classified as 'depressed'. The fact that Japan was beginning to notice this just made you upset.
"That's why I invited over your Aunt Taiwan. You used to be so excited when she came over. And… Why are you crying?"

China sighed and lifted you up. "Okay, aru, I will, then."
Japan nodded and went back to work.
China carried you up to your room. He placed you onto your bed and lifted the covers so that you could crawl under. After you did, he tucked you in. He turned to leave, but your arm shot out and grabbed his sleeve.
He looked over at you. "What is it, (f/n)?"
You looked at him, fear in your eyes. "I don't like the dark."
China gazed softly at you and sat on the edge of your bed. "Do you want me to stay here, aru?"
You nodded. "Can you sing?"
He was surprised. You would usually have Hong Kong or Japan sing to you if you needed it. You hardly ever asked him to sing.
"Yeah, okay, aru."
China cleared his throat.

"Nooooooo…" Your words were slurred by the yawn that managed to get out, no matter how hard you were trying not to seem tired.
Norway sighed and made his way over to you, trying to lift you up. But before he could do that, Denmark had grabbed the back of the navy sailor suit Norway always wore and pulled him back down to his seat.
"She's my daughter. I'll put her to sleep."

You wrinkled your nose. "But Mama, why can't I stay up late with you?"
"Maybe you can when you're older. But for now, you're going to have to be happy with staying up until eight."
"B-But I'm not tired!" you said, the beginning of your sentence slurred by a loud yawn.

Your Mama rolled her eyes and stood up again. "Listen , sweetie, if you don't sleep now, you can't watch any TV tomorrow."

He smiled. "If you want, I'll even sing you a lullaby."
This made you brighten up immediately. You loved your Papa's soft voice, especially when he sang in Finnish. It carried clearly, but still remained quiet at the same time. The way he could hold a note was mesmerizing, and could make even the tensest person in the world relax.
Finland knew that he had you there. You loved hearing him sing, he knew it. When you were young, you would beg for ages for him to sing while he pretended to be thinking about it. Finland grinned at the memories.
"Really?" you asked breathlessly.
"Yes, really. Maybe I'll even sing you two if we leave right now."
You gasped. "Let's go, now!"

"It's late." China says.
Hong Kong, your older brother, stepped into the room. He walks over to you and wordlessly offers his hand.
