Another night of chasing the northern lights, yesterday was very good but just too cloudy, today was not that bad either and finaly some break in the clouds.

Moved a bit slower today so managed to get a proper pano shot ( 3 shots ).

Nikon D90 with Tokina 11-16mm lens, Iso 1250, 8 seconds.
Cool color edit.

I´ve seen many auroras in my life, but never anything like this, it lit up the entire sky.

First time ive gotten the shakes from the adrenaline when seeing the northern lights.

Shot with nikon d800, 14-24 @ 14mm, f/2.8, 4 seconds, Iso 1600.

Fun when light pollution can work in your favour, getting a good shot with both the aurora and the milky way I find quite challenging, but pleased with this one.

As the aurora season is coming to a close up here, and the bad weather lately hasnt really permitted much northern lights photage, I thought It was due to post what I think is the best image I have captured of the season. ( shot at the 14. of november during the sickest aurora night I have evern witnessed ).

I based the edit on the poll I posted about which colors is most pleasing to look at, so this is edited with very cold temperature to bring out the blues in this.

really hope you guys like this. :)

Shot with nikon d800, iso 1600, 14 mm, 6 seconds exposure. Shot in sørkjose, troms county, northern norway.
