Made this portrait of Heath Ledger on an A4 paper yesterday evening. Took me 3h, which is fast, even for me!

Used watercolours and.... watercolours. The sketch or outlining was with regular graphite pencils.

Reference photo used.

I love the fact that he has a Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas t-shirt and wearing orange shade sunglasses.

I wanted to draw Heath as himself instead of the Joker, cause everyone's doing that too much. He was a great actor, and a good person to draw.

Hope you enjoy.

Also.

A tribute to Heath Ledger, R.I.P.

Granted this isn't my best or most realistic piece, but i was trying out some new techniques to give a much more sinister, dark look and to give much rough, scratchier textures so that i could try to portray the role of the joker as much as possible.

I think it turned out quite well, what do you think?

This is my version of MC Escher's "Bond of Union"
It's of Serena :iconschizophrenickittie: and I <3

About 20 hours
18x24 inch drawing paper
Graphite H - 9B
Large and small paper stumps

This is the last drawing I am doing on regular drawing paper for now. I think the reason my blacks aren't smooth enough is partially because of the paper type. I just recently started posting my art and found that the majority of other people's drawings that I really enjoy have been done on bristol so I'm gonna give it a try :)

I categorized this as graphite, since most of it was done with graphite, but the dark part of course was charcoal powder. I hope you like what you see! This was so challenging...it isn't perfect, but it was great practice! I do like drawing unusual pictures/portraits!

I love Reese as an actress. She's very entertaining to me.
