Neil ArmstrongApollo 11 was the spaceflight which landed the first humans, Americans Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, on the Moon on July 20, 1969, at 20:18 UTC. Armstrong became the first to step onto the lunar surface 6 hours later on July 21 at 02:56 UTC. A third member of the mission, Michael Collins, remained alone in lunar orbit until they returned from the surface about 15 hours later. All three astronauts returned to Earth safely after travelling in space for 8 days. and today on August 25,2012 we lost him so in his honor here are a couple of videos.Neil Armstrong1 year ago in Personal More Like This
This one was done back in 2009 for the 40th anniversary of his walk on the moon.
This one is the actual walk on the moon.

Christmas ProjectSo far i had no time to work on a new and fancy journal skin for the christmas project, but am already working on the idea and it will be done in time... hopefully!Christmas Project2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Together with my partner in crime ♥ MissChocci i am planning all the details for the christmas project. We are already having fun doing so, so i bet it will be fun for you to join later as well. It just might contain glitter... too much glitter! But you just have to deal with that
The project is based on the idea of "giving and sharing". I will give you prizes and you will have to share "whatever the task of the day" will be. What it will be, will be announced from December 1st on. Until then it will remain a secret! If you have any ideas for tasks let me know about them.
Prizes so far
To make this project a success i will need to be able to give away 24 prizes/prize packs, mainly to motivate people enough to join. So if you feel like

I ought to be wise now, but I'm not
I ought to stop playing now, but I can't
I ought to have a huge family now, but I havn't.
I ought to no longer hide behind a monster mask
If I were young these days, I maybe would achieve some "letter diagnose" attached at me
But thanks Lord, it has not afflicted anyone here, and I hope it will not
Thanks Lord, I'm still allowed to explore the fractal universe and upload some of the results on dA
Thanks Lord, I'm still strong enough to take long bike rides on my summer holidays
Thank you all my friends on dA for liking, faving, commenting my raw fractals and sometimes reading my journals
BTW, take a look at the (so far) latest journal of my dear friend :icongreenseng: about Art.

YOUR HEALTH:Was watching Dr. Oz on TV. I would never let that guy operate on me. If I followed his advice: It would cost me $800 a day in supplements, I would eat my biggest meal at lunch (and subsequently fall asleep at work - or at the wheel on the way home), I would play with my poop, and most of my meals would taste like poop. Gimme a break. There are no miracle cures. Too much marketing and not enough reality. That's why you need to be involved in your own health care. Talk to your doctor and don't be shy, your doctor isn't shy (think about it - they unflinchingly handle the most private and disgusting things we have to offer). After all, you know more about what's going on than your doctor. Be involved, ask questions, and make sure you don't let them walk out of the room until YOU understand what they said and that YOU have the answers you need.YOUR HEALTH:8 months ago in Personal More Like This

Colors of infinity UPDATEUpdate: Another awesome TV program is Fractals The Hidden DimensionColors of infinity UPDATE2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The old stuff: This evening (27 of May) my Windows XP crashed) That means no more fractals from me until either I fixed the problem or have a new computer built. Lucky I have my mini lap, with Ubuntu, so I have fully access to the net Waiting for more fractals from me, I put a link to an old legendary TV program from the nineties,
(click ->) Arthur C Clarke - Fractals - Colors of Infinity (<- click)
In the above TV program (53 minutes), containing many cool fractal animations, Some scientists as Michael Barnsley, and of cause Benoit Mandelbrot himself, explain fractals in a very nice way. I really recommend everyone, and especially

On a spur of the moment - a short visit to Sweden turned out to be an exciting encounter and ended in an exhilarating experience ...
Not only was I reunited with my friend and her beautiful Curlys -
I met Pettra Engeländer a true master in horseback archery and I had the privilege to learn of her. Now I am hungry for more.

Interesting Mandelbulb 3D Image NewsInteresting email ~Interesting Mandelbulb 3D Image News7 months ago in Personal More Like This
I received an interesting email this morning. Someone contacted me through my Fine Art America site requesting that I make a print available. I forgot to ask how she found the image, as I hadn't even posted it there yet. Anyway, it turns out this person is the daughter of Karl Menger, who's most famous popular contribution to mathematics (according to WikipediA), was the Menger sponge, a three-dimensional version of Sierpinski's carpet. The Menger3 formula (and other forms of it) certainly seem to be some of the most widely used and popular formulas for many that use Mandelbulb 3D.
The image she was interested in was one I recently posted here at DA, Wreck Of The Menger. Eve pointed me to a very interesting video that explains the Menger sponge quite well,
