Believe In YourselfJust some friendly artistic advice from someone who has been drawing for nearly four decades...Believe In Yourself2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Believe it yourself. When you sit down to draw, believe that the outcome will be successful. Failure at drawing comes from not trying hard enough, not working hard enough, and not believing that you can get the job done. Success comes from working hard, learning from past mistakes, and believing that you can and will rises to the occasion. If you are confident that you will do well each time you sit down to draw, you will do better work than the time before. You might not always get things right, or be satisfied with your outcomes, but you will be moving forward as an artist. Repetition. It's not the only way to improve, but it's the only GUARANTEED way to do it. The more you draw, the better you'll get at it. The more you ink, the better you get at it. The more you color, the better you get at it. Never fear your drawing table (Wacom, etc). You aren't going to be dismantling nuc

Mist creeped over the dirt and cobblestone, enshrouding all the world beneath its heavy coat. Like a wolf, the wind howled this night, echoing across the abandoned village. Far above, a full moon hung in the sky, a great unblinking white eye. The villagers had long abdicated, leaving behind a barren home. Then there was the train of Ancient Egyptian relics that conveniently broke down just outside the village, everyone succumbed to a mysterious and opportunistic plague. Save the howling wind, there was a silence in the air.
It was, in short, the perfect scenery for what was to transpire this evening.
Out of the mist, there came a man... a seven foot be
Heh, Crazy Idea...Chatting with my roleplaying chums... and, heh, we're all so excited about doing this that we started discussing possible potential campaigns, each based on a more unconventional fantasy setting.Heh, Crazy Idea...2 months ago in Personal More Like This
The World of Avatar (likely set during the era of Last Airbender, maybe earlier)
Equestria (heh heh, sounds too awesome to just pass up)
Wonderland (based off the infamous module)Universal Horror Campaign (basic gist, our mercenary band is hired to go up against classic Universal Horror characters)
God Heist (our characters are roped into having to steal from the gods)
We don't know if we're going to be sticking to the same characters for all these campaigns. I mean, it'd feel weird to just bring in a dwarf, an elf and orc to the world of Avatar, right? Doesn't seem to fit.
But I do think it would be nice to have some kind of greater continuity, to evolve the characters we create...
There's no rule against simply creating a secondary character that "can" go

Ok, let's be honest. How many of us have seen that slung around somewhere? "OMG, You're not a TRUE FAN if you like the reboot better than the classic!", "You're not a TRUE FAN if you like the movies", "OMG You're not a TRUE FAN if you've never read the books!", "You're not a TRUE FAN if you don't like *insert popular character here*!".
No. Stop. Don't speak another word. I've seen SOOOOOOOO MANY people say that the love the show, game, movies, ect, but HATES the fandom for it. There's a lot of good reasons for this and I'm in the same boat on a lot of things. I personally think that the Dmc and Silent Hill fandoms are pretty terrible, but that's my opinion.
Something I just never understood is what gives people the gold crown and staff that says "Hey bub, you now h

Let's ruin it.
Despite being a story of people who usually make it, The Walking Dead comics aren't that positively oriented. What's positive about a world full of mindless brain-eating zombies with very few living healthy humans left? (Don't answer, I know that for some of you it's a paradise). Come and take a closer look at these comics from a diffrent way than usual.
The basics. The Walking Dead is a black and white monthly comic book series, written by Robert Kirkman and brought to its visual life by Tony Moore. These two guys are the creators of the serie, however, Tony Moore was replaced from issue #7 by Charlie Adlard (which didn't stop him from making the covers through issue #24). And, of course, there's also Cliff Rathburn, who's

I am not compatible - personality wise - with the group dynamic, in the slightest. I realize that now.
Simply put, I don't think my continued presence in the chat is conducive for the group as a whole. I tend to be the primary instigator of friction, and maybe I take for granted or assume too much of others' level of knowledge, education and - and this is the important factor here - sensitivity.
I'm a bull and they're china. It's best I get out of the shop before I break anything else.
Oh, I'll still be around, naturally. Anyone can just chat me up on Skype or on DA, that's perfectly fine. But the group chat itself? The group chat is a powder keg of neurotic egos - some shy, some opinionated, some wired up and emotional, some terrified and unsure of themselves, all tired at the end of the day of the hustle and bustle of everyday living, and frequent this chat to unwind and indulge i

Take it. Tell me your result. Be awesome.
I personally get Engineer.
If you wish for a more particular result, please post your answers to your questions and I'll calculate point totals for you, so you can examine what other persoanlities you have within you. For example, mine adds up to:
Scout 65 points
Soldier 63 points
Pyro 48 points
Demoman 17 points
Heavy 41 points
Engineer 69 points
Medic 28 points
Sniper 30 points
Spy 12 points
Which means I have a lot of traits of Scout and Soldier, but not many of Demoman and Spy.
EDIT: Updated with a few more questions.

How's this for a joke Death Battle?
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, a three way royale between:
- The Medieval Gangstas
- The Magnificent Six
- The Merry Mercenaries
The parties from all three D&D campaigns I'm currently running (Shadow of Silliness, Avatar: Reign of the Sky Warriors, The Clockwork Princess).
When I pitched this to :iconmojaramask:, his immediate reaction was:
"Pfft, LOL, Ethelbeard stomps. Dat grappling hook."
Heh heh, too true.
My Thoughts on ImprovementI get a lot of questions on how to go about improving your drawing ability. I never really know how to answer them since every artist I've met seems to grow better under different conditions. For example, my friend :icondana-t: has completed over one hundred sketchbooks in the past four years. I've completed four in the same amount of time, but our trends of improvement are (kinda) similar because we learn in different ways.My Thoughts on Improvement2 years ago in Personal More Like This
One of the reasons I never end up making a tutorial is basically because I don't think they work. Plenty of people will disagree with me on this, but that's my honest opinion. There might be a lot of opinions I type out here you'll disagree with, so keep in mind these are just my views. Here are my general thoughts on how to improve.
Stop thinking about style. Style is something you will develop gradually after you've spent years emulating other styles, talking with other artists, observing the world, and pinpointing what looks best to you. Ev
RIP Carmine Infantino 1925-2013Okay for those that don't know Carmine Infantino is the the co-creator of the second Flash, Barry Allen. He was the artist for the book and help create some of the memorable characters in the Flash mythos, like Wally West, Kid Flash who would later become the the Third Flash, Iris West, Wally's aunt and Barry's wife, Elongated Man the Ductile detective, and of course Flash's Rogues Gallery, while bland at the time, they would be later become one of the greatest villains in comics. He also help create the Barbara Gordan, who is the most famous of all the Batgirls. He would later become the publisher of DC comics, but would later work for Marvel with working on titles like their Star Wars titles, Spider-Woman and Nova. Shame that another comic book master has moved on to the next life. RIP Mr. Infantino your legacy will not be forgotten.RIP Carmine Infantino 1925-20132 years ago in Personal More Like This
Fast lane to becoming a better artist.I often get this very question: How did you get this good this fast?Fast lane to becoming a better artist.1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Now as I consider myself not being as good as people tell me, even struggling quite often with being an artist in general.
I do know how to get better and how to reach it fast. I'm still growing as I go and it's the main thing that keeps me going.
You need to get into the right mindset and the rest will follow. With the rest I mean:
3. Positive energy.
4. The NEED to draw.
Seeing growth in your work gives you the courage to work harder. You know that feeling when you're just about done with an image
and feel like this image is better than your last one, that great feeling. Use it!
Do studies! Lots of them!! Make film shot studies, live object studies, master-painting studies. They will teach you a lot about composition, lighting, colors, shapes storytelling etc.
You will hardly notice that you are learning thing

I don't think I've ever laughed so much hahaha XD It was so uncomfortable to watch in the best way possible! It totally caught me off guard. I've been watching this all day yesterday and today. Made me realize how much I miss listening to J-Pop. I need to get back into it again.
Anyways, you might not find this funny but I thought I'd just share what kind of stupid things make my day and make me laugh. Leave some links to things that make you laugh
PS Sorry for the little break I'm taking. A lot of you are under the impression that I've stopped doing pony art or am not gonna do pony art anymore haha (it's been less than a week ppl). I just have a midterm coming up and I'm dedicating all my time to studying for it (and occasionally looking up videos like this). Plus when going to art school, taking a break from art is nice sometimes lol. So no worries. Still h

-Both Link and Alice fall down hole to these warped and magical lands, while chasing a creature that piqued their curiosity in some fashion.
-Both of these lands have a bizarre obsession with articles of clothing (masks, hats).
-To enter the warped and magical land, Link and Alice undergo transformation (Link becomes a Deku Scrub, Alice changes size).
-Link and Alice wind up on a journey with themed "areas." Of course, here it's more or less the standard Zelda formula of Earth Temple, Water Temple, Fire Temple, etc, rather than scathing parodies of Victorian society, Western philosophies, logic and so forth.
-Both stories are ostensibly aimed at children, yet contain surreal and nightmarish imagery that have plagued many a child's sleep.
