This is a pencil sketch that I darkened and colored. Going for a more comic like look. Worked pretty well but looking at it now I have to question Littlepip's choice in standing were she is during a lightning storm.
Blimey did this bugger take a while to do. I started this just before christmas and now I finally managed to finish it. Ridiculous amount of time was spent on fiddling with detail that cannot be seen in this resolution.
So.. basically Littlepip and Blackjack having a small fight and Puppysmiles just wants to play with the two cool mares.... with her orbital cannon. Can't think of any reason for the fight except that it seemed like a cool idea at the time. Littlepip is such a lousy shot only because she's trying to levitate as many weapons as possible.
Humm... so... lots of things that I don't like about this one... The perspective is slightly wonky, the road is too narrow and Puppysmiles is holding her gun a bit awkwardly. Background is a little less shitty this time and this time I actually highlighted the clouds correctly (or at least less wrong).
Yup yup.. thats about it. feedback is welcome and all... also I will upload a wallpaper version to scraps. edit: Okay I lied it's not in the scraps its here [link]
Yeah, Inspiration for sure. Littlepip, My Little Pony, Fallout Equestria, KKat. All which I have to thank for inspiering me to try something new, something that I had never done before, drawing. Something that I am very thankful for, it has learned me to view the world differently, and at some point tought me to get in touch with my feelings on another level, aswell as getting to know so many new friends. You know who you are
The 10th of November, on that day I've been drawing for a year. So, progress I guess. Not as much as I could have managed, but enough to make me realise that I can acctually do this. (Even if I still can't draw hair, at all.) During the progress of drawing this I came to a realisation, I took a look on my older images and saw that those where filled with emotion, a scene, something happened. My latest had no emotion, there where no real story behind the drawings. This is something that I want to change, and work on for the upcomming future. Emotion and story. For a image can look absolutely amazing, but without the story behind, it comes out lacklusting.
As for this particular drawing I tried something new, painting, it proved to be a interesting challenge where the main focus was upon what color to use and when. Guessing half the time is not really the way to go, so Id be happy for any critique I can get.
Thanks to Kkat for inspiering me, thanks to all my watchers for sticking with me, with my constantly changing style and unconsistant updates. Untill next time, have a good one.
tl;dr: been arting for a year, learned new things, critique please.
Edit: I supose adding a drawing from Nov 2011 would be appropriate:
Been wanting to do this scene for a while and finally got around to it. It's from FO:E Project Horizons by Somber featuring Blackjack and Glory. Tried out a more chiaroscuro like style, I need to experiment with different shadows more. I think something lighter is in store for the next piece, it might be a while though. It has been pointed out that Blackjack had an eyepatch at this point so I went and added that in. I didn't like her far eye anyways since it was in shadow and a bit jarring compared to the near eye.
The Stable Dweller and company on a rescue mission in Zebra Town. Currently they are attempting to rescue as much rain from touching the ground as possible.
Littlepip is winning.
EDIT: Forgot to add that this is based of characters from Fallout: Equestria by Kkat. Just sort of assumed everyone would know that.
So this took a longer time in coming because I was working on another piece I ended up scrapping as it wasn't working out. Still it took less time then I thought it would when I got going on it. Some things I'm still not sure about it. Having a scene lit up by an overcast sky and having everything wet made for some contradictory light to dark transitions and I'm not sure I pulled it off. On the plus side I don't think I strayed from cannon this time. I usually have memories that differ in slight ways from the story so when I draw without researching properly things tend to... not quite coincide.
