She's splayed out like a dying lawn chair. Her lipstick tears, the color of what smiles should look like, mirror the snarl her closet-monsters wear – the same monsters she found under her rug and under her tongue. Her teeth have been bleached and her skin the opposite, and she's lounging against the sea on her very own star-spangled banner, waiting for bikini straps and a chlorine filter.
The rhythm in her veins used to be of Laundromat cries and little tissue tears, but the cancer riddled her with exotic Amazon drumbeats.
I saw her before. I saw her when she was drab. I saw her when she was paisley.
The cancer is slapping pavement into her nose, but it's colored fiesta and it's colored sexy, and confused, she's pounding a tangle in her hair and a smile on her face.
Really it's discolored green. It's freckling her spine with red and it's beating back her fingernails, so she can't claw when she's pulled under.

She sat by herself as if watching the flock of snowflakes dance above-head. She sat in a silence that was never meant to be there, but had made itself belong. Miscasted and rotten the why of it as it might have been, it had now proved liberating.
People always had so much to say. About what to and don't do, about what to learn, what to wear, what to eat, who to be friends with, when to come home, when to go away, who to believe in, what to think and what to feel… but she never figured how they knew all these things. She never figured why would same words if spoken by somebody else mean something completely different.
Words like silence. It gave a name to something that was meant to stay unspoken. Who dared give it a name, she didn't know, but the contrast it created was never questioned… possibly because words were meant to give freedom of speech, while sacrificing reality. And yet the paradox of her thoughts forming this conclusion seemed nearly logical.
But if there was freedom of sp

that loosens the soul
it evokes strong feelings
it never gets old
it is pure emotion
feelings that do not waver
bottled up inside
waiting for the right paper
bright and cheerful
gloomy and sad
loving and tender
hateful and mad
it doesnt matter
whatever the mood
a poem can be found
that will fit the groove
that you cannot see
when reading greatness
that thing called poetry
Falling ApartYou're breaking me downFalling Apart4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
With every word you never said
'Cause what you simply are
Is what I spent forever searching for
And while you take your time
I keep falling apart and coming undone
'Cause I need you to see
That I need you next to me
And while you're out there somewhere
Living it up and enjoying your life
I crawl under the covers
I think back to every night I fell asleep with a smile
And not a burning tear rolling down
'Cause I knew that you'll be there in the morning
To all the times I hoped that somehow you'll notice
To every laugh ,every touch ,every color in your eyes
I wish that I could turn around and be back in that moment
That I can shout your name and tell you everything
All the things I'm afraid to feel
How since you're gone
I'm slowly letting go of everything
How everything is painted black and blue
And I don't remember the last time I saw the light
How I avoid the mention of your name
Just because I want you bad
And every lonely moment
Brings back the same

Belong to you for a month,
Than, for a month
Wonder if I'll ever be yours.
I would rather end in tradegy,
Able to remember the good times,
Than never begin,
Stuck wondering about
The good times we might have shared.
I would rather kiss you once,
Than wonder what it would have felt like
Until the day I die.
I would rather have you break my heart,
Crush me totally,
Than draw out the pain,
To keep me whole.
I'd rather have you.
PoetryI found meaningPoetry10 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
In words so unspoken,
And the places
No eye catches.
In the shade of behemoth movement,
Watching a life
Behind the borders of mind,
Without a breath or word
A reason to question the air above my head.
How I breathe
And am held down,
And crawl through forests
Still as the sky.
And listen to what was always there
Between branches and channels,
Learn from each
To know yourself.
And the one's you would surrender it all for.
Continue with that emblem
Out of corners.
Make the road your own.
Forget each curve
And listen in silence.
There we find answers that we only dreamed to know.
