A Captain's Legacy
Shining stared up at the oak door that towered above him. It was a normal door, no different than a typical door one would find inside a house. But given the contents stored away behind it, it had an unusually grand feel to it, and Shining couldn't help but feel dwarfed in its shadow.
The old grandfather clock down the hall let out twelve loud booms.
It was noon. The high sun's rays shone through a nearby window and across Shining's stationary, white frame. It warmed his fur while he kept his blue eyes locked on the door.
His parents always said how the attic held an eclectic assortment of things, from old music records

#94) I went to a brony meet-up and I thought it was pretty good fun until we went to Toys R Us. I was sceptical about a bunch of guys (no girls went to the meet) going to the little girl's section of the shop so I kept my distance and I'm glad I did – everyone there except for me became really creepily obsessive about the toys and it was embarrassing to be seen with them in the shop. After we left (I didn't buy anything and the girl on the till seemed really freaked out by us) I kind of felt awkward being seen with them and when they sang a song from the show really loudly at Pizza Hut I wanted to go home fast. What do you make of this?

Snips and Snails were dripping sweat as they struggled to drag along the heavy wooden cart that dug into the ground. The cart plowed up the dirt and left a sizable trench in its wake. I am living in a little house, trying to raise my child by myself. I was not educated to write before of one blessed miracle that happened to me recently. My son, Topias, was given the touch of life quite lovingly, before a very tragic incident... My husband had died. He was pulled in the waters of stingy coldness while he was getting us something to eat. To keep us alive. I have to admit that I was being too selfish for a quite while, after my son was brought to face the world. He nearly starved to death, because of my self pitying.

I didn't even know what I was doing there. As we stood next to each other, I glimpsed at my friend Miles; he seemed to be wondering the same thing as me. Or so I could tell by his expression. Miles is taller than me by quite a bit. I was about five foot four, while he was almost a foot taller than me, leaving him at a height of five foot nine. He had a pretty good build considering he was a football player, but he was sweeter than he looked. *A lot went down in this episode and I will admit, for an episode that has to tell so much in a 22 minute episode, it pulled it off pretty damn well.

I was following Bronze Lute through the Alienage of Marehime. It was incredible how many Unicorns were living in the small alleys, somehow fitting in places I would barely find refuge. Bronze Lute was surprisingly familiar with this part of the city and the ponies seemed to know him, what was a good thing because they would rather listen to him than to a stranger like me.
