So I have a few paintings in the cooker that I'm sneaking in between all the end of year festivities. I hope all of you out there are having a nice time with family and friends and can unwind for a bit. Maybe more coming this year, if not see all of you in 2013.

God I'm lazy with titles.. around 8 hours or so, ps cs3. Wanted to keep it kinda rough/sketchy. Hope you like it!

i love my hometown because of the particular architecture. In the ancient Song Dynasty China, the story depicted a girl (princess) who always stayed in the palace when she was away from her hometown. Though in the picture, people were celebrating a big feast of apart together in ancient China. she could not stay with her family members. This picture thus expressed such a complicated feeling.

This one was so much fun to do! Worked on it quite a while because I wanted to combine my fantasy style with some more urban stuff.
Also the composition was quite a bit of work, adding the dogs really helped making the eye twirl around in the painting.

another commission, these houses were really horrible!

Time to paint has been so scarce for the last month that getting this painting completed was a real victory for me. *Sigh of relief*
