Shot in Skagen, at the very north tip of Denmark. Kudos to =Nullermanden who brought the chair along the beach and then volunarily took off his shoes, waded into the freezing water and sat down. All I had to do was set up the tripod and shoot. :)

"My family went to Norway, and all I got was this friggin' balloon :|"

Another shot from Bergen, Norway (you'll probably see a couple more ;)). This time, I caught a little brat, being mad because his parents got him a balloon instead of a PSP.

Ahh, you gotta love the youth of today.

(PS: I have a soft spot for balloons, so that's not the last one you'll see either :lmao:)

-----

Why?
Because I have a soft spot for children. And balloons. Mix the two, and you got me chasing this kid down the street to get a clear shot (I'm not kidding, I got *crazy1ady as my witness). Then, when I finally caught up with him, I kneeled in the middle of the street and waited for him to notice me. He did. Several times. This being the last, when he was clearly annoyed with me! The Street Photography contest says I need to tell what motivated me to make the photo... Well, to be honest - I didn't think about making it. There is no time to think in cases like this - just act.

I guess it was all in the moment. A moment, I'm glad I didn't think twice about before shooting.

Where and when taken:
Bergen, Norway - August 24th, 2006.

Technical info:
Camera: Canon EOS 350D
Lens: Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8
Shutter speed: 1/320 second
Aperture: f/3.2
ISO: 100

Photoshop:
- Simply Channel Mixer to convert to black and white
- Curves for contrast
- Slight dodge and burn to certain areas
- Vignetting
- No cropping, straight from camera

This drawing is a gift for Octavio Villazala, he's the director of the dog training center "Montegato", in La Coruña, where I take my little monster every summer. He and his team tought me and my dogs a lot of things and I really appreciate them.

This one is his dog "Fusco", it's a "Can de palleiro" a Galician dog breed.

Hope you like it!!!

I've been playing Diablo for the past 17 years – since the original's launch! – and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that it is a vital cornerstone of not only my identity, but that of my community of friends. Together, we've logged literally thousands of hours diligently exorcising all manner of Sanctuary's bad eggs. Diablo has over the years influenced everything from our creative endeavours to our slang, and it has always been a way for us to stay in touch, wherever we may be in our lives.

It's this sense of community which the Diablo franchise engenders that I wanted to reflect in this piece. With Reaper of Souls barely a week away, how else would you properly prepare for the conflict but by logging onto the forum or checking up on the wikis to plan your attack? Together, we're stronger.

Then again, maybe they're just checking their Facetomes. Whatever.

I also included several references and in-jokes waiting to be found by long-time fans of the franchise. Full view, and see if you can spot them all!

Good luck to everyone who entered the contest, and I'll see you in Westmarch!
