Can you hear me?
Can you hear me?
When did it come to
All those rows of people on a subway train,
crowded rows of
customers passing time voicing their concerns
to digital facsimiles bought half price at a
sale from another worldwide
corporation of the future.
Can you hear me?
Where is your mind?
Where is your heart?
You are walking, going places, but you are
not all there
For your minds still wander through the virtual plain
of coded software, hoping to linger there for
another second or two, never
There was a time when
was not obsolete and mandatory, but new and exciting.
The future was
tomorrow. The potential was endless.
You can talk to your friends on video screens, too!
Unthinkable, to have this device in your pocket at a time
when America “needed” it most.
Can you hear me now?
Is your world changed for the better?
What did the latest iPhone do for our lives again?

A GLIMMER OF HOPE
*Spoiler warning- for those of you who haven't read the Silver Saga (Sonic Universe #25-28), I would advise you to pick up a copy of the issues and read them before reading this story. Mild spoilers will follow*
When the end times arrived, many people became desperate for survival, and the blue hedgehog known as Manic was one of them. "He said he would be here," thought the cloaked figure in the darkness. He knew he didn't have much time left, but this was something he knew he had to do. Manic watched from the window as the buildings began to crumble, running a hand through his spines. Suddenly, an orange fox, with blue-streaked gloves and a face slightly withered by age came bursting through the door. "I came as fast as I could!" he panted, his blue gloves waving up and down in fright and disbelief as to what was happening right now. "The royal family has just gone missing, and Melody and I started a se
Silver- A Glimmer of Hope 2 Skye Prower was flying in dangerous winds. The Tornado Mk. 3 was powerful, but it could not compare to the storm he was flying in. Winds tossed him around and around, rain battered the roof of his plane, and the cockpit was close to bursting open. Fortunately, it was sealed completely shut. Skye turned to the tiny crying bundle in a blanket next to him and said, "Shhh, Don't worry, I can get this plane to New Knothole City in 4 minutes as long as this storm doesn't kill us first." He trembled in fear as the lightning battered the plane. What if he didn't have enough fuel to get to New Knothole City? He would have to stop in the now-ruined New Megapolis storage reserves to find some, but then there wouldn't be enough timeSilver- A Glimmer of Hope 22 years ago in Sketches More Like This
A sudden wind blew the Tornado backwards, causing everything to go haywire. The cockpit cracked in half, and the wings plunged straight down. Skye was horrified, and tried to get the ejector seat working, but something was j

Out through the front doors of the large Weever Industries building came a whole plethora of workers and functionaries, all ready to go home after a hard day of work. However, one of them was quite peculiar-looking.
It was a Mobian, the only Mobian worker in the enterprise so far. He was a hedgehog with green fur, brown hair and hazel eyes wearing a red t-shirt with a blue buttoned-up shirt over it, a pair of jeans and blue Nike brand shoes. He also wore a red baseball cap that seemed to be glued to his head.
"Ahh, another day of work done!" he said to himself. "Time to go home and have the rest of the day for myself!"
Suddenly, something passed near him as he looked around, trying to see what it was. All he saw was a quick moving silhouette which moved towards an alleyway between two large buildings.
"Oh, great, here comes some stupid enemy to fight again..." he mumbled.
He walked towards the alleyway and, when
