When this adorkable white pony/unicorn first appeared in Luna Eclipsed, dressed as a devil no less, many took to calling her Sarah Neighlin after the infamous Alaskan former governor and reality TV show star/grifter.
I'm not a fan of a political figure's name being attached to such a cute pony, so someone in the comments suggested I should try giving her a fanon name, and since 1) She's apparently a secretary 2) She's nerdy and a bit proper and 5) I'm a tremendous James Bond fan and Skyfall is being released the same weekend as the MLP S3 premier, so I motion she be dubbed Money Penny, after M's famous receptionist. Perfect!
Anyhoo, here's a cheaply-made, mostly recycled image to make my case!
My husband, Mr. Kitties, is a pretty incredible artist in his own right! During today's episode, he decided that the unsung hero, the one pony who could have taken control of the situation before it spiraled out of control was the time-traveling hero known as Samurai Applejack!
I'm still working on my own something for today, but in the meantime- OMG SAMURAI APPLEJACK!!!
Trixie's War on Wheels continues. Good thing Sweete Belle just recharged her hydrogen fuel cells!
Edit- Is it weird that I think Rarity and Trixie could potentially get along pretty well? They've both traveled quite a bit and have kind-of haughty dispositions. It's possible they'd be pretty good friends and have a lot to discuss...if Trixie could resist doing terrible things to Rarity's style for five minutes.
It could also just be wishful thinking since they're my favorite tiny pretty horses.
Hey! I made a thing for the Brony Bazaar this weekend! That's one project down!
If you're in New York and you like Ponies and and and other stuff that's amazingly awesome, you should totally go- [link]
Me, I have a Zombie 5K and Mr. Kitties birthday on Saturday, Doctor Who series six premier, and a ton of pony stuff to finish, including something that is an increasingly late project for (I'm so sorry ego! I'm working on it!)
Also, a poster, some tee shirts, making buttons, and silently weeping into my wacom tablet.
(Also, Manehatten is canonically spelled weird! It's not my fault!)
I am sad- SO SAD- that I can't make it to EQLA this weekend with all the other spooky little Bronies and Pegasisters- but at least some of my art will be in attendance!
I was asked to make the super giant 8' banner and new logo that will be hanging over the Bronies: A Documentary booth (formerly Bronycon The Documentary) which will be debuting on November 4th at the AMC District 12 at Downtown Disney- [link] The screening will also feature a Q&A with one Ms. Lauren Faust, Tara Strong, Michael Brockhoff, Director Laurent Malaquais and other cast and crew members! So awesome!
I should point out this is my first time making ANYTHING in vector. Since this banner needed to be huge it was created in completely Inkscape based on art and references from Photoshop.
Hope everyone has fun at the convention while I sit back here in waterlogged Pittsburgh, absently caressing a soggy jack-o-lantern and weeping softly to myself.
No, really. Have fun. Go ahead. *snif*
Seriously, it you're attending, have the best time ever! And don't punch any Prince Blueblood cosplayers. Remember, they're just in character!
