The man didn't reply. His narrow frame was silhouetted against the moonlight, his pale limbs glistened as he lumbered calmly through the labyrinth of trees.
"I will ask again." She said, stopping suddenly and stamping her feet. "Where are we going!" This time it wasn't a question, it was a demand.
The figure stopped and gazed down at the girl with unseen eyes. His face was a blank canvas, completely empty although full of inspiration. Anything could be there, any emotion could be created although only the artist would ever know what that was. Alas, even if he had lips to form the words, there would never be an answer to the girls question.
