The +Fav and Run Phenomenon.
Have you ever received Favorites on your deviations, but did not receive any comments or critiques? Have you added a user's work to your Favorites, but never left them any comments or feedback on those pieces? Many would agree that while views and favorites are great, that comments and critiques are the most valuable. This contest aims to fill that void, by giving deviants a chance to return to the artwork they collected and provide feedback for it.
To leave Comments, Feedback, and Critiques on Deviations in your Favorites Collection.
Go through your Favorites Gallery, and comment on the deviations you find there that you did not leave a comment on. You may also

Why does it flicker?
If water is so delicate,
Why is it feared?
If air is so important,
Why is it polluted?
If the ground is so nurturing,
Why is it covered?
If everyone is equal,
Why is there war?
If we have two eyes,
Why can't we see?

SavageFrog is one of the greatest deviants I have met on dA. She has been so supportive and caring to me personally and to the community as a whole. She is a wonderful person to speak to, and always offers a helping hand. If you don't know her already, I would suggest taking a moment to drop by her page and say hello, you won't regret it

Do me a favour to any artist who are watching me now and would like to improve the way they design and present their final artwork.
Go to your local museum/fine arts gallery (preferably the national branches or the ones in the big cities), make it a field trip and learn something that may perhaps be a significant benefit to your art studies.
Book your student discounted fare online, grab your backpack filled with sketchbook and whatever drawing tool you're comfortable with (graphite, microns, watercolors etc...), get that bus ticket, go get some fresh air, and some exercise while at it - make this an investment worthwhile.
Be sure to check out the policies of the art gallery/museum before you do any sketching in public, some have very strict rules about drawing in the public galleries, while some are more flexible. Be aware and be prepared on your field trip at all times.
When everything is good to go, walk around the gallery, observe and find pa

At the start of June 2013 I arrived to California to live with :iconchemb0t: and his family for a while before moving to the heart of San Francisco downtown to prepare my first semester (and first ever experience studying at an art school at university level). Jason and his family are considered my second family, that's how special they are. At the same time I caught up with :iconevanstanley:, :iconcirotin: and Evan's family for a rafting trip for week long stay in Santa Cruz. I feel privileged to have known those two better and in person, especially when they are passionately driven and talented artists in their own right. Then I went to Mexico for a short trip, it was there that I've been able to appreciate the beautiful heritage, cultures, food, and landscapes, at the same time it was also a time when I got to appreciate m

I look at you
And wonder why we talk.
Wonder why we were friends.
What made us click.
You say something
And I wonder why people laugh
Wonder what goes on in your head
What made you say it.
We have a moment
Where we share a secret smile
And I sadly accept
That you've been forgiven
Thank you - 1 year of joyTomorrow it has been exactely a year since I started this account. You don't have to read all of this, but if you do, you really deserve a cookie this time. I used to have another account before this one, but after a year I realized that I didn't actually have any friends and the art I was uploading really wasn't up to the standards that I wanted it to be... I also realized my love for Shadilver, but I was terrified to upload anything involving Shadilver. Like I said, I didn't really have any friends on that account and no one knew who I really was, but for some reason I felt like I was being a shame to the world for just uploading a picture of Shadow hugging Silver...Thank you - 1 year of joy1 year ago in Personal More Like This
So I just said to myself "You know what? I'm going to start over. I might have made misstakes in the past and I might not have been able to upload what I've wanted because of fear of judgement, but I'm leaving all of that behind me now."
"If I create an account where NO ONE knows who I am..then they're technically not

It had been a simple question that the nurse had asked me and I had replied with an equally simple answer.
One that would most definitely please her and hopefully would stop her from lingering on the subject.
She exchanged the almost empty sack of medicine next to my bed for a full one and smiled at me.
"Really? Now why is that?"
Another simple question and once again a million thoughts ran through my head.
"I want to make children like me better."
Her friendly smile turned into one of sympathy a she gave me a small pat on the shoulder and left the room.
I did it.
I had told her exactly what she wanted to hear.
I looked around the room to see two other kids, a boy and a girl.
The boy was sound asleep and the girl was quietly sobbing underneath the privacy of her blanket.
She must believe that no one can hear her.
I knew because I had been there, too.
There were another three beds in the grim room that the nurses had desperately tried to cheer up by ha
What Sonic means to me.In the summer of 2001, my cousin got me the first Sonic game I've played, ( and still have the same game today. Case and all. ) Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Ever since than, I've became a hardcore Sonic Fan.What Sonic means to me.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I have an addicting personality, I cannot really help what I get addicted to, it just kind of happens. So when I realized that I was becoming addicted to Sonic the Hedgehog (in general) I was a little embarrassed and scared to admit that I loved a childish gaming character. I hid it from many people at first, only telling my family or close friends of mine. Through out my teen years, I slowly express it more. Buy Sonic clothes, figures, downloading songs from Sonic Adventure to Sonic 06 ( Next Gen ). Hehe, I still do and proud of it.
When I was 16, I started watching Sonic AMV's (Animated Music videos) made by SonicStorm12. Soon after I discovered that I can express my fandom for Sonic on the web by making AMV's. I started out with just pictures of Sonic to a song. Then I l
