Since there was a fashion contest and I was looking up steampunk items I thought it would be cool to make a steampunk outfit for a girl. I even added a little top hat. :3 I also drew a male steampunk which I like as well and out of all the entries I sent in, I like the steampunk sets the best. They match and they are cute. Even though I don't really know everything about the steampunk fashion, I tried my best do draw something close to it. Though when I drew this it ended up small on the computer so all the little details might not be seen, like the little gismo hanging from her armwarmer and the little key from her shoes along with the really small chains. Still, I managed to put a lot of deatail in this drawing and thus is probably why it took so long. lol.
Supposed to be drawing something as a reward for you guys being the bestest watchers ever but AUGH this has been playing in my mind for ages!
It's basically just a steampunk inspired dress and headset. I'm pretty proud of it, except I would have made the stopwatch a different colour if I did it again. I was listening to Clock Lock Works by Vocaloid on repeat when I drew this.
If you can't read my shitty scrawl: CLOCKWORK DRESS Stopwatch on collar Corset like top, lopsided at the waist (yes, that was deliberate). Puff skirt, puff sleeves, low cut neck with headdress (see above) And on the other side: Metal chain, gold (lol but it isn't) Clock hand straps (on the corset, dunno if you can see it very well), roman numerals, stopwatches and gears. Steampunk inspired (no shite, Sherlock).
If anyone hasn't realized, boy looks aren't exactly my forte lol. So this was quite a delightful challenge for me. was generous enough to let me put the boy looks of female figures. (the male figures I found all suck anyway lol)
Anyway, this has been a delight. I hope likes them all.
YAY!!! Huzzah for extended deadlines! I am proud to send forth my completed design for this Fashion Fever Challenge. My Partner [link] and I chose to do Double Vision in steampunk fashion. While she and I did colaborate a great deal on the designs themselves, I owe her huge thanks for doing the bulk of coloring for my design (and drawing the face) as I was incapacitated for the better part of yesterday after getting my wisdom teeth out. THANK YOU!!!!
Now, to the design! As previously stated, we went with a sort of steampunk theme (and for anyone unfamiliar with steampunk read more here: [link] ). In my design (the female portion), one can see a brown leather jacket with gear buttons and brass gear broach over a silk tube top (the same fabric as the ascot for the male design which can be found here: [link] ) The red lining of the jacket (which can be seen on the upturned cuff of the jacket) is also made from silk. The pants are constructed from strips of black denim are are held up by a rust colored leather belt complete with brass buckle. The shoes are the same rust colored leather with black leather toes and black rubber soles (including the heel).
All in all, I'm fairly happy with our design set and think they'd go well together for teens going to a party. I, being a teen myself, would GLADLY wear this anywhere Here's hoping all goes well!
This lovely lady's name is Daneya Wimbleton and she is the navigator of a pirate airship, wanted for over a dozen counts of air piracy, disturbing the peace, assault and battery, and resisting arrest. She is presumed highly dangerous, armed with a fencing sword, and the reward for her capture is 5 million rupees.
Daneya is a worldly woman, having travelled across all the continents with her crew, and her outfit reflects that. Her favourite continent is by far Asia and she loves visiting frequently to add to her wardrobe.
My friends and I are planning a photoshoot with our steampunk outfits and we're doing it in the style of a Wanted Poster ad. More details to follow at a later date.
Daneya Wimbleton and all relating design/information are owned by me. I would appreciate it if you ask me before using any of it in your own projects. Thank you.
I finally completed my promise of a steampunk collection!! Too bad it took two years.
Anyway, this collection is inspired by steampunk music. If you don't know which bands are steampunk start with listening to Abeny Park and Dr. Steel. Then branch out from there to The Clockwork Doll, Vernian Process, Deadly Nightshade Botanical Society, etc.
Drawn in pencil and outlined in ink. Colored with Prismacolor markers and colored pencils on 14X17" Bristol board.
