This is my design for a steampunk watch that I am going to make later in the year. I just really wanted to get my ideas onto paper, otherwise, I'd probably forget.
The boiler is that little striped piece of metal to the bottom centre, and it gives "steam" to the watch, which gives the excess steam to the "pressure valve" on the bottom right.
There is also a "winding" mechanism for the clockwork, (because, of course, the clock is mechanical, but the date, time, and elevation are all steampowered).
There is a hint of clockwork sticking out from under the slightly elevated clock face, and the whole thing is mounted on a sort of leather cuff tied together with a dark or leather lace. Altogether, I hope it comes off a spretty nice! I'll post pictures of the completed mechanism later.
theres something to besaid for art made while suffering from acute broncitis and a large amount of lack of sleep. 4 days, so96 hours with a toal of maybe 10 hours of uneasy sleep and I'm still standing. antibiotics kept me up till 3.30 and i dream quickly of two dresses which i had to wake up and draw. Ill up load the second later, but i had a dream of a rose dress that faded pretty much as soon as i woke up. i scribble quickly two other designs but they werent right. the i laid there, music on for about 30 mins and this came back to me. you can hate it all you want but I am in love with this dress. i will start making these propery, with decent backgrounds and outlines. and a fashion label name too.. wooooooah. fancy but right now its just arandom dream sketch
This feels like the first thing I've finished in too long, but really, it's only been a week. Either way, it's been a fair amount of angsting about something extremely trivial. Clearly the only answer here was to draw my therapy guy.
The flat-color-on-texture thing here was inspired by looking at *Stregatto10's line art, and the idea of putting Dalton in his sexy long coat again was because of *Makio-Kuta.
