Significantly less interesting title than the first part of the lineart, but I couldn't think of anything else XD Anyway, finished front and back anthro lineart commission for Xeshaire Love this character <3
Textured background per the commissioner's request.
Following them are Tammy (4), Marlin (5) and Em (6). But I might draw them later.
Spike, Coco and Satellite were adopted and grew up together. Cartoons and Humans had a few racial issues, so Cartoon kids went to a separate school than Humans. Cartoons are, in my stories, Animals with traits of Humans (anthropomorphic). After high school, they decide to start a group of heroes to fight the evil scientist that had first kidnapped them. I might draw him later too.
Spike is from another planet completely, but he only learns of that at the age of fifteen. More details of that will be explained another time. No one knows what happened to his father, only that he had died a week before Spike and his sister and brother were born.
Satellite was born in a village in the Rockies in California. His and Marlin's parents were killed by Humans who hated Cartoons. Everyone in that village was killed, but Satellite's mother managed to escape with the two babies. sadly, she froze to death before help had arrived. Marlin and Satellite were saved, but the baby S'lite's mother was pregnant with did not survive.
Coco's parents were murdered by the scientist that kidnapped him. His father was the Cartoon Prime Minister of Madagascar, working along side the Humans to create peace. Their tree village was wiped out, and no one save Coco's Uncle, who was not present at the time, survived.
Spike, Satellite and Coco were brought up by a family of humans and recognized each other as brothers, Spike being the eldest.
I chatted enough. I might spill more about their lives and Spike's BG later... but he's hardcore special, so we'll just see.
For #Realm-of-Fantasy's Sci-fi Fusion contest. :3 You're supposed to mix sci-fi with fantasy, you see.
I figured since everyone else was going to be doing more realistic paintings, I should put in something a little more fun with classic-type cartoon animals.
A spacer lizard named Bert is shot down during an epic space battle and finds himself lost on a nearly uninhabited planet.
He soon meets a native who is also lost. And, although he needs to get back in the air ASAP to help his comrades fight the bad guys, he realizes this warm-blooded mouse needs his help or the creatures of the world will eat her in the blink of an eye.
Reluctantly, Bert helps the girl through miles upon miles of hostile territory to get her back home. On the way, she teaches him the magic his people have forgotten, and he teaches her the science her people have never known.
My sister wants me to make this into a comic. Hehe. While that'll probably never happen, it was sure fun to do.
Drawn with a normal mechanical pencil, scanned, and colored in photoshop with a mouse.
A small, oceanic dragon, adapted to a life at the sea floor.
It feeds on clams, miscellaneous crustaceans and small fish that swim close to it. Its pearl-like skin gleams in the dim water to attract prey, yadda yadda...
Well heh, it's actually just someting random I drew while at a game convention earlier this year. Found it when cleaning the apartment.
Now lemme start by saying that yes I am part Chinese (Mother- Chinese, Father- White) even though I don't look like it. Although, my brother looks a lot more Chinese than I do.
So yeah I do celebrate Chinese New Year ^^ And yes, I do know its on February 3 for the Year of the Rabbit. I just wanted to submit a Holiday pic for January cuz I didn't make one for New Years. (plus its a bit too late for that also)
I can't speak or write Chinese, although I am taking Spanish. I only used ref for the Chinese characters (and some for the clothes), but I'm still not sure if they're accurate. (on the scroll its supposed to read Gong Xi Fa Cai and on the lantern its supposed to read Tý (rabbit)) So feel free to correct me if I made a mistake.
I tried to be a bit loose with the painting. :V
Btw, that's a boy rabbit, not a girl. :] Oh and its not really a rabbit, its actually an original species of mine that's based on the rabbit .....which i'll post a ref for it......eventually... >>
