Added a green background variation and also versions without text and without text&logo (so background only) -
altogether the pack now contains 12 wallpapers (4 colors in 3 versions) and 2 Dock icons...
Pack contains 3 wallpapers and 2 Ubuntu Dock icons (PNGs).
Created these Ubuntu logo designs to have a wallpaper that'll match my tribal (Office&Adobe) icons - a bit different in style than the stuff I did before, but I hope you still like it!
Well, it looks like it's the wrong section...
But as there's no section for Ubuntu OS etc., I thought this might still be the most fitting one for release...
If you want to try out Ubuntu, but don't want to mess around with your Windows system too much,
here are some links that could help (it's what I did and it worked fine for me):
(installs Ubuntu in a folder on your harddrive, you won't need an extra partition/harddrive for it)
(explains how to set up "compiz fusion" for the effects and "emerald" for the look - it's a German site, but all you need is the code on the page to copy in your terminal window and the entry for the "Sitzungen"(German)="Sessions"(English) window. If you have an ATI graphic card, just leave out the Nvidia commands)
Firstly, it is to raise awareness amongst the people of the world about a new and upcoming Linux Distribution (Distro), entitled "Furbuntu". I am a great supporter of Linux (and the free software movement in general), so feel that I should do what I can to keep it going, and to generate what support I can for the up-and-coming projects that are flying around. More information on this can be found throughout the journal of .
Secondly, it's to draw attention to a competition, again run by . This is for wallpapers and similar resources, to be used in Furbuntu, and can be found here: [link] I have made an entry about six times so far, and have not yet ben happy with any of them -_-. Anthros are hard to draw .
So yeah - awareness raising for the day done

The Furbuntu logo used is a modification of the logo found here, under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License: [link]
EDIT Furbuntu has changed slightly - for the better though: [link]
I combined a grunge version of the Ubuntu logo with the Regal Blue wallpaper I found on InterfaceLift.
If you would like different logos, different sizes, different colors, or something else, please sound off in the comments.
As always, your comments and favorites inspire me to continue onwards.
EDIT: Added 1680x1050 version and Source XCF.
(NOTE: Sorry If I mis-categorized this. The only entry suitable was MAC & PC OS, so I put it there. There is no real Linux category there, and it's weird considering MACs are technically PCs. If you have a better suggestion for where I should put this, tell me in the comments.)
