Daily Deviation Report: July 2013Hallo, and welcome to the July edition of my Daily Deviation Report. What follows is a comprehensive feature of the Daily Deviations that I featured during the month of July 2013 in the Abstract and Surreal Photography categories.Daily Deviation Report: July 20132 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
In terms of this collection, all of these images caught my eye in some way; whether it be through technical perfection, compositional intrigue, or the concept within. I am proud to present these works, and I applaud the relevant artists for their dedication and inspiration.

Abstraction indicates a departure from reality in depiction of imagery in art, uses a visual language of form, color and line. Understanding of abstract art takes an open mind and imagination - there is no right or wrong answer to the question "What do you see", it's always open to interpretation. What makes people uneasy while looking at an abstract artwork is that they can't say automatically what is the art about, some might even assume that the artist must be lacking skill when choosing to paint abstract pieces instead of reality. Also, these compositions sometimes look so simple that it's easy to assume anyone could do it. However, give it a try, you'll see that to create an elegant and powerful abstract composition takes much more than meets the eye.
Let's enjoy a few abstract artworks in different media

JACKSON POLLOCK: Champion of the New Art
My Jackson Pollock Nine by DarkLinkFire
Just as Dada and surrealism had been the art world’s mocking response to the world’s failed progressive pretensions in response to the anti-human horror of World War I, the art movement that blew up in the wake of World War II’s repeat performance was “abstract expressionism.”

PAUL CEZANNE: The Bridge from Monet to Picasso
Untitled by FilledArles
January 19 marks the birthday of Paul Cezanne in 1839.
By the time of his death in 1906, he was recognized, especially by younger artists, as the genius who began his career under the tutelage of impressionist Camille Pissarro, and then went on to become the “architect” who reduced the subjects of his paintings to cylinders,

My newest project. Here it is. ApothecaryAphid ANIMATED.My newest project.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Well. This is the first one so it is obviously going to suck. I started to animate and started a youtube channel. So check it out. Like, Subscribe, and share it to everybody. Now I know it is crap, give me a break it's my first time. I will be working on the animations frequently. But don't expect them coming out every day. Animating is really hard (not the way I do it. LAZY) I still have a day job, and it takes up all of my time. So let everybody know. I am already working on the next one. Also I am writing a animated Slender one.

Always Low Prices......Always......Always...AlwaysI hate Wal-Mart. I really do. So I wait in line for 15 minutes because the lady is not scanning the bar code right, whatever. So She tells the old man that the total was like $75. And then the old guy tells her that he has to go to his truck to grab his card. All he had in his wallet was a 10 dollar bill. I mean really...really...REALLY. Does he think that the 50 boxes of prunes and bran flavored tapioca was going to cost him 10 bucks! So he goes to his truck at an astonishing .0001 miles per hour. He had a walker for gods sake. Then the lady behind the counter looks at me and gives me a shrug. That shrug translated to "I know you have been standing there, but you are going to have to wait 30 more minutes.....because I am a moron."Always Low Prices......Always......Always...Always2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Ok, I added that last part, BUT STILL! Please keep in mind that I had 2 items and the express lanes were unavailable. So I asked the lady kindly, "Can you scan my stuff? I think that he will take too long." And she said "DUH DUH LA FURGSHHHHH DUH I'M A REEEE

CollaborationsTraditional ArtCollaborations1 month ago in Personal More Like This
Collaborations take the skill and imagination of two artists to create art that they never would have made without each other.
by kyri-IS-dark and doodler89
Collaborators inspire one another. Each artist brings different strengths and specialties to the project, and something new is born.
Artists who work together learn from each other.

One of the goals you have when you make a collaboration is to create a unified artwork. You have to be able to adapt to create a finished product that merges both artist's styles.

How To Photograph Your Paintings
In this article I want to discuss a common problem that some traditional artists have. That's photographing your paintings. Whether it be for selling prints or just getting your art noticed online the importance of having paintings look great is key. If your fortunate enough to have a scanner for smaller pieces then that's great! But if your working on large canvases or paper then you can run into issues. The most common problem artists have are Glare, Blur and Color. All of which will be discussed in this article.
Anyone who has worked with acrylics and oils knows what a problem this can be when your trying to take a picture of a painting. This is not as much a issues for a artist working with watercolors

So last Tuesday my chest was bugging me. Not that it was covered in ants, but something was not right. I got my hands on the new God of War game, and I could not have been any giddier. So the morning of Wednesday I woke up, and there was something clearly wrong. My chest felt like an elephant was tea-bagging it. So I went to the local hospital. And they instantly suck a pint of blood from me and give me nitro pills. The nurse man says to put it under my tongue. I say "Isn't that how people take LSD?" I never got an answer. I kept having chest pain so the doctor gave me two more. I thought I was going to over dose and become addicted to those things. Who knows, I might be in your basement smelly, red eyes, asking for a hit of nitroglycerin.
So the doctor comes by and says "Well..." which is translated to "Your completely screwed." And says that there is some evidence that I had a heart attack. I was like a stereotypical Afr
Based on a basis of a true story. There once was a duck. This duck was no ordinary duck. It was a duck that was an actual duck. So the duck, one day, decided to score some blow. So he went to the market and asked the nice old man at the cash register, "Hey fag, got some angel dust?" The nice old man said, "I'm sorry I have no blow, you should not be asking that, it's time for you to go." So the duck went off.Based on a basis of a true story.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The duck thought to himself, "How come that nice old man was such a jerk, where else can I find some blow." Then he thought, "Obviously, a convenient store with gas pumps. They must sell blow." So the duck went to the nearest convenient store with gas pumps. So the duck made it to a convenient store with gas pumps and walked in. The duck asked the nice African American lady at the register, "Sup slut, can a subspecies of waterfowl land himself in a pile of gutter glitter?" The nice African American lady said, "Uh you better get out of here, I hate this job, I need to find a better carer." So the duck took hi

There's not too much new with me, just reacting to DA's "upgrades" and lamenting the approach of what will be a very busy November (friend's wedding in Seattle and California trip for Thanksgiving).
