and childrens' cries rang out for nights.
Mothers screamed underneath the city flame
as broken walls fall atop without any shame.
Men walk among the ashes
as their real world finally crashes.
Scorching days and blistering nights burned,
until the inferno had done all it yearned.
Fallen dark, the scarred city,
the one that had once gleamed so pretty,
now tumbles down miserably.
When the city lies in darkness,
who will be the candle?

please claim me now.
If you are the release to all the pain
I pray to to thee you save me.
You might or not might mend
some of the broken pieces
of this life.
Please you must see
I do this
to save not only me
but of all you..
sweet bonds of family.
Death, you are my only hope.
Sweet death please claim me now.
Eyes Meet To Make MemoriesSitting beside you,Eyes Meet To Make Memories2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
with your finger poking at my leg.
You find it purely innocent,
but I desire your touch.
Looking into your brown eyes
I still see that boy I met 2 years ago.
He hasn't left
even though you keep him hidden.
Your hand clutched mine,
except it was by accident.
You didn't realize it for a few seconds
When you did you let go.
I cringed at the release.
You're in the middle of speaking
and all I can think about is kissing you
one more time.
To feel you against me.
Playful shoves and soft smiles
are all we have left of us.
Is being friends better than nothing
or are we reopening a wound?
