Finals at my uni are coming, so unfortunately I’ve been neglecting my digital paintings, because I have so much other shit to do. I should probably paint me some Gandalf with Balrog and a huge “you shall not pass!” signature on it, so it would keep me motivated.
Anyway, today I decided that I need some Armitage lovin’ and made some “speed” (only 2 hours, lol) paint of him. Not Thorin, but Richard this time.
I got a bit rusty, so it’s rather sketchy and not ground breaking, but I think it looks quite alright.
It’s very sketchy, chaotic and probably would use some blending and more details, but to be honest I like it this way. I know that recently I’m going bonkers with colours, roughness and different brush strokes on my works, but you know, I enjoy experimenting and I’m still looking for stuff that will work best for me.
Usually people spend on their speed paints about 20-40 minutes, but since I’m an incredibly slow worker (it takes me ages to finish something) I shall proudly call this one a speed painting - only 2 hours
So um, yeah, Tom Hardy’s chest. And arms. And basically - dem gunz. I just had to
I know that I didn’t include tattoos, but srsly, tattoos are a real bitch to draw and I really didn’t want to spend too much time on this one. So let’s say, this is just an impression not a study. Speed painting ftw!
Also I’d like to dedicate this to my friend L. (you know who you are, you bastard), whose today’s sudden appearance I welcomed with joy.
For the last week I have abandoned my new “sophisticated” cycle of paintings (a.k.a. “men and their guns” ), but I feel the need to continue. So today I give you a sketchy painting of Thor. Dear Mr Hemsworth, you really do fit here I shall do more of you in the future.
(yup, I am terribly late for the Thor party - shit happens)
