#82) How long do you think "Friendship is Magic" will last for? What is a good amount of seasons? Honestly, I want it to go on until at least Season 8.
Answer: Season 8 is a stretch. This is really a two-part question. The first part is about how long I realistically think that the show will last, based on speculation and circumstantial evidence. The second is about how long I personally believe the show should last, which is a different matter altogether.
To engage with the first part, we know that the show at least has in front of it another 13 episodes. After that, more might be made, or the show may maintain its success based on repeats. I can't predict when the show will end exactly, but it's pretty much a given that when Hasbro update the toy-line again, the show will be replaced. It's impossible to talk about "Friendship is Magic" without discussing it directly in parallel to the toys, as they both run off of each other and help to sustain one another. There

Gorgeous hues of red and orange bled into deep violet as the sun set on the horizon. All across Equestria, ponies would be winding down, some enjoying the sight with their special somepony. Luna however paid no mind to the view, instead engrossing herself into her study. If it wasn’t for the final reading light fading from the sky, she might never have noticed it was time for her to raise the moon. Catching up on one thousand years of history and culture didn’t happen overnight, and at this rate Luna thought it might take another one thousand years.
Luna looked down at the infuriatingly fine print, squinting to try and discern any of the letters. But it was no use; she tossed a loose sheet of parchment in the pages to track her place. She walked over to the balcony, telekinetically opening the doors and sidestepping around her telescope. Taking hold of the energy of the moon as she must have done at least a thousand times since she returned to the castle, she focused

Airshipping Is MagicThe morning air was crisp and cool with barely a breeze blowing. The sky was crystal blue, and the rays of the sun played lazily across the green countryside. The little purple sparkly blimp slowly rose into the air, enjoying the wind as it played across her surface. Her propellers spun into life as she turned in a westerly direction, the fluted spire that jutted out from her control deck pointing the way.
Twilight wasn't a big blimp. Her gasbag was large but stubby, her fins small and protruding, and her purple gondola cabin was slung almost apologetically underneath. Growing up as a little balloon in the big city she had always been jealous of the other airships, who always seemed to be more graceful than she. But soon study had paid off.
Today, she was on an important mission. Today she had to ferry vital medical aid across Airquestria. A hailstorm had hit the town of Hull, and puncture repair kits were urgently needed.

No matter how foolish,
Or insane they seem...
Chase your dreams.
Never stop running.
Don't let anything
Impede your progress.
Are your eternal goals.
No matter the obstacles,
No matter what happens...
Your dreams are eternal.
Continue the chase,
Never again will you be lonely.
Never again will you suffer.
You may lose your glitter,
But you will never
Lose your sparkle.
Always chase your dreams,
Because no matter what they seem...
If you live your dreams,
Never again will you be lonely.

CHAPTER 11: Shelter (First draft. Final version in the works)
The sun continued to rise slowly in the morning chill and the frigid draft of the wind blew through the apple trees of the Apple family. The rumble of thunder echoed in the distance while it whistled around Radiance, making her want to curl into a tight ball. She couldn't hear anything, open her eyes, or move more than a little, but she could feel the bitterness of the breeze down to her bones. Her body shivered and her mind could not think of anything but the cold, as if ice had frozen her in place. Slowly, her senses began to return, and only when the crackle of a small fire could be heard and felt did she relax. Her heavy eyes opened narrowly, watching the blurred movements of the amber sparks in front of her. Their dim glowing air patterns danced before her before rising up into the air and disappearing in the small plume of grey smoke. A figure poked at the smoldering wood, keeping it alive and preventing the w

It was still a heavenly sight, even now.
Keys were pressed at lightning speed across Magical Melody's piano, assembling a collection of tones with a pronounced classical air. In time, Binary Match recognized it as as a casual rendition of Parasprite Waltz.
Melody hadn't noticed Binary looking through her window yet, and so continued to play. It was like before they'd met, with one clear difference--instead of wrinkled frustration, Melody's face now displayed a peaceful smile.
Only when the song was finished did Binary knock on the front door. Almost immediately she heard the light scrape of a piano stool and the equally light tapping of hooves--galloping hooves, since when did Melody have that much energy?--approaching the door, which opened in mere seconds.
And, then, there was Melody, in front of her, staring at her--and still wearing that smile.
Binary waved. "Hi there."
Melody's smile grew even bigger. "Hi, Binary! Come on in."

What was I thinking?
A star-adorned tiara plopped onto Twilight Sparkle's bed.
It all looked to so good in my head! The actual outfit even looked good! At least to me... but I'm no designer, am I?
Two oversized, star-plastered sets of earrings and bows followed.

That dress, cluttered with animal and constellation designs, joined her jewelry on the bed with a soft ploomf. Twilight looked at the ensemble, only now finally able to see it for the trainwreck it was.
