Moment of Discovery
His eyes were clouded with both dust and pain as claws ripped through his fur, digging through his skin, some reaching his bones. He could feel the warmth of the blood that now ran through his pelt, dripping onto the ground below. He fought back, swinging his own claws, making contact a few times, but he was out numbered. Not trained for battle, he fell to the ground under the forces attacking him.

The young caramel tom padded down the mine, his ears pricked and his eyes narrow. Currently it was almost near pitch black in this particular tunnel, deep enough to not be touched with the warm glow of sunlight.
