Worth Living For - Short StoryMaybe if I had stopped you, this wouldn't have happened. If I had kissed you before you went out of the door instead of yelling at you, maybe I could have bought you some time. Maybe you would have been a few seconds late and the light would have turned green by then. Maybe it could have stopped you from buying all of that beer.Worth Living For - Short Story1 year ago in Emotional More Like This
You know, sometimes I have to remind myself that you're gone, and won't be coming back. Like when I wake up in the mornings and reach over to your side of the bed to hug you, but all I find is a pile of empty, cold sheets. I still sleep on the same sheets we slept on the night before the fight. I can't gather up enough courage to take them off, to touch where you slept. Now I have to remind myself again when I am folding your shirts and setting them onto your empty side of the bed. I cry all of the time for you, you know. I really did love you, even though I said all of those aweful things to you. Why is it that you don't know what you have until it's gone? Our

Chapter 1- Welcome The Storm
Not everyone is born "special", or with an unqiue talent. Some are born with nothing, and are declared weak from the beings who classify them as higher beings because of wealth or rank.
But one fact they care to ignore... - one with nothing has everything to gain, and nothing to lose.
The silence clinged to the air like toxic gas, only accompianed by the small sound of hooves slipping into the mud. The fresian's black coat melted her and her rider into her surroundings as the sky darkened. Karah pulled back on the reins as they reached a narrow stream. She glanced at it skepticly, watching the muddy water flow downhill, rolling over wet rocks and drenched soil. She felt her throat tighten from parchness- She hadn't had water to drink since she left her sister at home, 2 days ago. Glancing at the water, she’d get sick if she drank it un-boiled. Which wasn’t

As I slide the knife across my tongue
The poison resting in my lungs
Fighting till the war's been won
But you're right, this is all done for fun.
The rope around my neck as I pull it tight
The struggles I face as I die to fight
And slowly, I fade off into a dark night...
Goodbye, smiles, goodbye, light...
Dying, breaking, losing sight
Of all that's proper, all that's bright
With all my strength and all my might..
I mean, I do this for attention.. right?
Random little story~ You’ve been bullied your entire life, by your father, by the kids at your school, and even if they don’t mean it, bullied by the world. Everyone looking down at you, your father beating you up, the school kids making jabs at you. That was all until you saw him. His name was Alex Rover, he was a ‘bad-boy’ from your school but that wasn’t really him. You saw him feeding some ducks in the local park behind a bush so no one saw him but you did. You watched as he softy dropped the pieces of bread into the water, slowly to not scare the ducks. You smiled as you watched and intently fell for him. He didn’t know you was there, he didn’t realized he was being watched and loved. You came every day after that and watched him with the ducks. In school he never noticed you but he never hurt you either.Random little story~10 months ago in Concrete Poetry More Like This

“Yeah,” you said rising to your feet.
Canada DayOn one single night, once every yearCanada Day5 months ago in Free Verse More Like This
Everyone in Canada gathers 'round to cheer
For all the fireworks up above
Representing our country, or land, and our love
Showing our home, respect, and the pride we all share,
A hint of unison hangs in the air
They remind us of all of our wonderful people
Healers, and Dreamers, and all the Believers
This single night, July first is it's name
Is the honour, the date,
We all call Canada Day

Cool, bitter, familiar silence.
Pain. It used to be a lot sharper, but time and fatigue have numbed it down a bit. Now it just thumps, dull and resilient, all over her body.
This was never supposed to have happened.
Heavy lidded eyes stared dully in the darkness. The few non broken and bruised fingers twitched, paused. Reached for something and scraped against the cold floor. Reached out again. Touched the hilt, carefully slid it closer. Grasped the firm, smooth wood, perfectly sized for her hand.
Raises the knife.
“You know that doing that won’t achieve anything.”
Eyes slide to the figure, barely visible in the thin light that escapes from the cracks in the ceiling.
Dry lips crack, then twist as the pain comes back again, stronger. Heavy breaths make up the only sound in the room.
“There’s no harm in trying, right?”
“Sooner or later, you’ll have to give in.
It’s for the best, yo

oh little bird,
why so upset
on this fine day ?
Why you ask?
A silly question to ask,
when your question is answered,
with the look on my face.
oh little bird,
why are you upset
though on this day ?
Why you ask?
Again a silly question,
as the answer is visible
cause its all around me.
oh little bird,
why can't you be happy then
on this fine day ?
Why you as?
Pathtic question again,
when you can see why I can't
on these words of mine.
oh little bird,
why can I thou not help you
on this fine day ?
Why you ask?
The correct question,
the reason why
is cause thou not here,
your just a screen,
you can't be around
on this fine day,
thou another country,
much to far,
for my car,
for my reach,
for my phone call,
its impossible for you
to be around,
thus that answer your question ... ?

The young caramel tom padded down the mine, his ears pricked and his eyes narrow. Currently it was almost near pitch black in this particular tunnel, deep enough to not be touched with the warm glow of sunlight. He kept his body crouched and nearly pressed against the wall, using all that he had learnt to become another shadow in the darkness. A still as stone, the nearly full grown adolescent kept his breathing quiet and light, hoping to give no indication to his wear about. His task was to find the Silver-Shadow, to use all he knew to remain hidden, sneak up on him and try to attack. It was by no means an easy task.
Damian had thought about using his secondary abilities to search for him, the soul seeing ability would let him walked around and see other cats as if it was as bright as day in the mines but the light from his tattoo would betray him faster then if just tried calling for the leader. An idea did spring to his mind however, and trying to keep his face low and covered, the

doesn't even try to reach out because there's nothing there
only my own numb stare
no desire to fight the devils wrenches
would anyone notice if I could disappear
because Im starting to feel warm in these trenches
would they even shed a tear?
Sick of the acting
let me compost with the dirt

lets make sure this hurts
still wishing to disappear
lets seal this coffin with a drop of blood and a tear

Beating rocks upon the shore with silence as their sound
Sunset melts across the sky and paints the clouds with color
Lying there beside you, something wondrous like no other
Suddenly, the blades start slicing through my very skin
Every knife upon your tongue that came from far within
Running through the thickest forest, dirt rests in my cuts
Throwing knives into my flesh, the blade coated in rust
And though you are the one that scarred me, brought me to my pain
I continue dreaming of our kiss inside the rain
Maybe you have broken me, and maybe you’re impure.
But your love is the best disease, and you’re the only cure.

Scared, tired, cold, wet, and alone. I shiver in the dark, after looking for my lost mother I found a nearby cave and ran inside to get out of the wet rain, it started up out of nowhere too.
I shiver as I try to warm up my hands by slowly breathing into them and rubbing them against each other. I am only a 8 year old girl, I don't know much about the world, I don't know much about anything. I was scared and alone, in this unknown cave far out into the region in the middle of the night surrounded by strange noises and dangerous pokemon.
After listening for over an hour now the fear started to take over me and I started to cry and panic, I try to crawl further into the cave but to no avail, I hid my eyes into my scabbed knees from falling over earlier and cried for a long while. Thats until I heard a small noise, I can't explain the noise I heard, it sounded disorented and yet...playful? Curious? Sad...maybe?
I swallowed down my fear and slowly looked up, at first

I have heard the laughter of a man about to die
I have seen the anger resting deep within their eyes
I have been the victim of my own disgusting thoughts
I have seen the best of people slowly start to rot
I have felt the heartache; I have seen a love go blue…
So much time is left to spare, but so much less to do…

And honestly, there's no way to describe that little baby
And no way to describe the way it was loved.

And get those big wigs off the fuckin' power ladder.
You ready? Because we're going at it hard:
See I'm the kind of guy that they're all playin' with
A systematic crisis workin' in the way we live.
The big shots still sittin' and they growin' fat.
With young bloods starvin' just to get their life on track.

And let the young bloods take it; we'll just fix it up.
They set the game, but we're the ones playin' main;
