Well, this basically sets the tone: This is going to be the Halloween episode. And it almost seems like the writers are trying to get all the stock Halloween jokes out of the way; somebody dressing up as an obscure character, an adult trick-or-treater tagging along with the kids, etc. This is good for two reasons: It sets the scene, and it frees up the rest of the episode for material other than the stock costume jokes and whatnot. Okay, let me preface this by saying that I liked this episode. A LOT. The idea of a hoard of Pinkie Pies running all over Ponyville with their brand of zany, over the top excitability brought a whole bunch of images into my mind, not the least of which was the reaction of the townsfolk upon seeing this. I enjoyed seeing how her friends dealt with the problem all of these clones put them in, as well as Pinkie's own existential crisis as it unfolded. This was a good episode, and I heartily recommend it.
And now onto ransack and pillage this episode for every critique I can find.
