I've advanced from avoiding drawing hands altogether to pointy hands that look like someone with knifes instead of fingers, to mitten hands where the person has NO fingers to this retarted sqwiggly looking hands that just look....wrong. Yay for improvement!
This piece was drawn not to long ago during my sketch-a-thon and I knew as I was sketching it that I wanted to work with light and do something different and better then I've done so far. My images so far have been a little flat so to speak and hardly got any depth or persoanlity in them which I'm now hoping to work out and improve for the book I'm drawing of this little character of mine.
This is Po the Blips and her very special necklace, the Rainbow Star (just something I came up with for now) which helps her with her job. More will be revealed as I get further to completing the book. So stay tuned.
But I must say I'm quite proud of this one, it actualy feels like REAL artwork for once! ps. I know the watermarks ruin the artwork for some but I'd rather do that then leave them unmarked and taken away to some remote internet location where people can't check out the artist who made it in the first place
Just a little test on the creation of a little creature from my children-book-in-progress about the Blipses. Not sure if I'll keep 'em rainbow, might make each a different color but we'll see what happens.
I was in a performance of Peter Pan last year and, as usual, Peter was portrayed by a lovely young lady. She asked that I draw her as Peter Pan. It took forever but I finally did it. Better late than never, right?
"If you have wings - the whole world will be your sky" This phrase i heard in a dream [quite long time ago - but I still remember it]
The coloring is VERY draft, I know Just had to draw smth to distract from work for awhile [Dear Universe, why wish to draw usually comes when I have huge text to translate? maybe you can separate these things somehow? I'd be happy if you do so ]
I'm not sure this pic can be referred as 'daily sorcery'. It's not really about current life, even not about current state of mind [sadly ]... Anyway, i put it here. Dunno why, I just want to do so. Who said foxes use normal human logic? Maybe one day i'll do more work on this sketch - the idea surely worths it.
Namesake is the story of Emma Crewe, a woman who discovers she can visit other worlds. She finds out that these are places she already knows – fantasy and fairy lands made famous through the spoken word, literature and cinema. Her power as a Namesake forces her to act as a protagonist in these familiar stories as she figures out how to get home.
But as she travels, she discovers that those controlling her story have their own selfish goals in mind - and her fate is the key to everyone's happy ending.
Join Emma, her sister Elaine and their friends as they tumble down the rabbit hole.
If you like, adventure, humor, stories of friendship, fairy tales and fantasy, this is the webcomic for you.
Thank you so much to all of you for your many encouragements during the developing process. I mean really. You guys are the greatest friend-list a girl could ever ask for. I love you guys.
A few of you asked me if they could help. Honestly, the best thing you can do to help is check out the comic. And if you like it, talk about it! Word of mouth and friendly support are priceless gifts and really, really useful.
Cake and fairy tales for everybody!
And special thanks to dqbunny, the best co-author ever.
