Uncharted: Applejack's journey- Chapter 2Applejack held her head down as she cowered behind the stone altar, the wall in front of her being peppered with small explosions of dust that accompanied the loud bangs that were reminiscent of Pinkie's party cannon. Elena was crouched next to her, a black piece of L-shaped metal in her hands. On the other side of the altar, Applejack could hear screaming and crying out, along with the occasional angry or happy remark from Nathan or Sully. She felt a hand touch her shoulder, a small, delicate hand.
"It's going to be okay Applejack, We do this all the time," Said Elena quietly, but it did nothing to soothe Applejack's nerves. She curled tighter into a ball, her body shaking with terror. Tears were rolling down her face as she shook her head 'no' over and over.
"Ah want to go home," she whispered to herself. After some time, the noises stopped, all of them, even the voices of Nathan and Sully. Elena's hand was rested on her shoulder again, and this time, Applejack found the courage to l

Twilight cast the spell on Applejack, merging her mind with that of the comatose Pegasus Rainbow Dash, in an effort to wake up Rainbow from her coma. The coma was a result of a brutal attack by Rainbow's former friend Gilda, the griffin. Twilight slumped down, exhausted from the effort of casting such a difficult spell. Fluttershy flew over and helped her up.
"Are you okay Twilight?" Asked the timid yellow Pegasus, Twilight nodded to indicate that she was okay. The others that had gathered in Rainbow's hospital room breathed a sigh of relief. Twilight's friends had all gathered to give Twilight support; there was Fluttershy, The white Unicorn Rarity, the pink earth pony Pinkie Pie and Applejack's Brother and Fluttershy's coltfriend Big Mackintosh.
"So what do we do now Twi." Asked Big Mac, his voice full of concern for his little sister, Fluttershy flew over and hugged him.
"We do the only thing we can; we wait." Said Twilight, she had originally intended to go into Rainbow's mind to r

“How do you expect to beat me at the next iron pony competition if you can’t even handle this orchard?” asked the cyan Pegasus with the hexachromatic mane.
“Rainbow Dash! How dare you! Ah woke up at the call of the rooster this morning just so ah’d be able to get this work done before the sleepover at Twilight’s tonight,”
“Hey, hey take it easy AJ, I was only teasing, besides the reason I’m here is to show you this awesome trick I came up with,” exclaimed Rainbow Dash. “It will have to impress the wonderbolts with its awesomeness.” Applejack rolled her eyes.

Twilight was breathing heavily as she chased the Griffin Prince Alistair through the narrow back streets of the Griffin capitol city of New Grifburg. Her white and red hood and cloak flapped in the wind and Twilight could just see the barest glint of the knife embedded in Alistair's wing joint, preventing him from taking off and escaping her. She had been sent by Princess Celestia to assassinate the prince, and at first, she believed it was only to destabilise their society with the absence of the Griffin emperor Gregor, but after spending some time amongst the city's denizens, she came to the conclusion that her mission was in fact to save them all from the tyranny of the prince's regime. Alistair changed direction abruptly, heading up some stairs that were attached to the side of a building. Twilight followed, never letting him out of her sight for more than a second. He dived over the railing, landing on a gravel covered rooftop. Twilight didn't hesitate, leaping over the side. Her

Near the centre of town sat a large tree. It had originally been the town hall during Ponyville's early years. More recently, however, the tree house had become Ponyville's library. It was a place of peace in times of trouble and much to the residents' dismay, it was often damaged. The tree was bathed in the golden light of the morn, making the frost on the leaves sparkle like the stars. These were the same stars that the tree house's sole occupant, the unicorn Twilight Sparkle, had spent most of the night gazing at. Twilight turned over as the sunlight filled the room, trying to catch a few more minutes of sleep before she had to begin repairs on the hole in the ceiling that Twilight's Pegasus friend Rainbow Dash had made the day before. Normally she would have fixed it

Applebloom couldn't see more than a few hooves in front of her. The snow was too thick; it blinded her. She tried to squint through the billowing whiteout in an attempt to see the trail ahead of her, but to no avail. She was growing disoriented. She hadn't been able to see any part of the ground save a featureless, white blanket since they had left the ice-choked river. It had been nothing short of miraculous that they had found the bridge over the stream in the first place, having only just managed to stumble across it after leaving Sugarcube Corner.
Applebloom was thinking more and more that they should have never stopped at the bakery in the first place. Pinkie Pie had, of course, tried to fill them up with as many free sweets as she could, but this was of little comfort to the fillies now. The snow had only started falling when they were inside, and Applebloom knew that they had had enough time to make it home before the blizzard began. The window had been open just enou

Rainbow Dash's nose twitched. This was an involuntary movement, more of a reflex than anything else, brought on by the perceived presence of something bothering her face. To the barely-conscious pegasus, the sensation was strange. If she had been able to think about it, she would have thought that something was brushing against her closed eyelid. As a last-ditch effort to retain her sleep, her hoof lifted to the level of her eyes in a half-conscious attempt to remove the irritant. Unfortunately, this action had little effect as the slowly-waking pony soon found herself waving her hoof around in front of her face in a dazed early-morning stupor, futilely attempting to ward off the encroachments of the sun as its light streamed in through the window, falling across her still-closed eyes. Groggily, Rainbow Dash's eyelids slowly blinked open, taking in the extent of the bright early-morning light for the first time. She was momentarily confused, groaning and closing her eyes aga

Applejack's eyes were watering as the air bit at her skin, becoming almost razor sharp as she ran faster than the speed of sound. Her vision was hazed, the landscape of Equestria and all of its varied colours melding into a beautiful cacophony of light and colour. Applejack knew that it was only a mixture of luck and reflexes that was keeping her from colliding with anything along the road and becoming just an orange stain on the ground. As she approached Maneflow Springs, she took as deep a breath as she could and shot through the small town, maneuvering herself so that she had more space by running along the docks. Behind her, light, random objects were being dragged along in her wake, along with the occasional pony. Applejack ignored it all, focussing on getting herself to Rainbow's side and rescuing her friends from the assault of diamond dogs. Breaking clear of the town's borders, Applejack slowed down just enough so that all of the objects that she had inadvertently collected wer
Equine Vampiris- Chapter 3The bittersweet taste lingered in her mouth as she dropped her prey, the barely conscious mass collapsing onto the dusty path below. With every fading heartbeat, the prey let a little more of red fluid flow from the open wound in their neck. A scowl crossed her lips at the thought of the fluid that sustained her being wasted. With a growl, she started walking back to her nest, the first warm slivers of sunlight beginning to break over the surrounding hills. She could feel herself getting weaker, the sunlight draining away the little strength she got from her feed. But she could still taste the blood around her mouth and savoured the flavour.Equine Vampiris- Chapter 32 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Applejack adjusted the wide-brimmed purple hat that sat on her head and took a deep breath, watching as her family prepared for a battle that would decide the very fate of Ponyville. In the distance stood the largest building in Ponyville, the town hall that rested in the centre of town. At the moment however, it looked more akin to a fortress than a place to pay fines. The police that had surrounded the building were quaking in fear as uncountable amounts of arrows and magical fireballs assaulted them from the Minotaur and traitorous police that hid inside. Looking out over the battle from the balcony on the top floor was Flame, leader of the gangs that had taken over Ponyville. The smirk on Flame's face made her wish that her powers were working so that she could teleport up there and wipe it off his face. Applejack spotted the Police chief hiding behind Roseluck's florist, as the fire department tried desperately to save the stores and homes from the fireballs.

The grey tinged snow melted slowly in the windowsill as the new spring sun shone through the stained glass windows in the church tower, filling the octagonal room with a mix on blue, green and red colours. Twilight was pleased that winter had ended, so that she could make a bigger effort on helping the city, without the threat of her horn freezing off. Her new friends were also pleased, as it meant that New Grifburg would soon be having its annual Spring festival, an event that brought together the rich and the poor in the name of mutual celebration of the end of Winter and the upcoming season of hatchlings. Max and Jean had informed Twilight of the significance of the event, as it was only in the spring and summer months that Griffin eggs would hatch. They also told her that only a handful of griffins had even been born out of season, two of which were Prince Alistair and Princess Gilda. It was a time of peace for the griffins, one of the few times during the year when they would call

Rainbow Dash pulled Applejack closer, savouring her marefriend as they shared their first real kiss. She let Applejack's warmth console her, still distraught over recent events. Applejack pulled away, her green eyes looking deep into Rainbow's and smiled.
"How does it compare to the dream?" asked Applejack and Rainbow giggled.
"I don't want to ever stop." Said Rainbow, smiling wide. She kissed Applejack again, softer this time, not ever wanting the moment to end. Rainbow jumped as a flash of light appeared behind Applejack. She flipped her over, trying to protect Applejack, as the light dimmed, leaving a pony covered by a white and red hood and cloak.
"Who Who are you?" asked Rainbow, frightened of the stranger. The stranger made her way over to the two frightened ponies. She lowered her hood, revealing a very familiar purple unicorn.

The shockwave rippled up her arm as her hoof collided with the cheek of a griffin guard. Twilight's mane and tale were ablaze with magical fire; mostly for show, it was just an illusion to make herself look more intimidating. Her entire body was covered in magical armour; plates of glowing magenta energy that defected nearly any blow. Around the knees of her hind legs and going all the way up her legs and spine was a complex mechanical system of Twilight's own design. It supported her knees and back so that she could stand upright, much like Pinkie Pie after her bout of brainwashing. It was both a huge strain on her body and her magic. The spell used up a surprising amount of energy and with Twilight already exhausted from her earlier fight, she was struggling to keep it stable.
'I'll give them some credit, these guys are pretty dedicated to their job,' she thought as she threw a knife into the chest of an advancing guard. The twenty that remained had done their job well, protecting co

Well, I did what Tia said, 'Start a journal of your thoughts and feelings now that you are back.' I suppose she is right, it might help me to collect myself, focus on things, not to mention the fact that it will be good to have a record of my progress. I mean, I do have over a thousand years of Equestrian history to catch up on.
I just wish the spell that Tia gave me wouldn't change what I'm saying into so called 'Modern Equestrian.' Lazy and stupid if you ask me.
Well I suppose I should start by saying hello, or should I? I'm the only one that's meant to read this aren't I? I shouldn't have to say that my name is Luna and I am Princess of Equestria, what point does that serve other than to stroke my ego and create vanity within my heart. But it is strange to be sitting here in the dark with nothing but the glow of the magic and a single candle to help me see what I'm doing.
I like the dark, it is my element after all, but there is something about it now that feels… off. I

Celestia's sun shone brightly up in the pale blue sky, sending arcing beams of light down through the air to illuminate the scene. Every cloud shone with the bright white of pure sunlight reflecting off of water droplets. The densely packed formations of water droplets floated lazily in place. Each formation was a place where a pegasus pony could stop and rest, and none were as large as the collection of clouds which safely held hundreds of ponies in the air at once. From the weather factories to the Cloudesium, the city of Cloudsdale was a floating metropolis for the the winged citizens of Equestria.
At this moment, dozens of those winged citizens were gathered in the Cloudesium, attending a very special event, an event featuring ten pegasus ponies who all stood nervously in a row, lined up next to one another in front of a stage made of clouds. More pegasi were spread about the large stadium, mostly families and friends of the ten down in front. Th

The walk along the road into town was long and cold. Newly-fallen snow crunched beneath Applejack's boot-clad hooves as she trotted along the path. Each breath she took condensed into heavy clouds of vapor as it rolled from her mouth. The white-clad branches of each barren tree passed by her on either side as she made her way down the long, winding, lonely path. She gazed skyward, sweeping her vision across the low, unbroken ceiling of cloud that shrouded the wintery world around her in darkness. The only light she could see came from the old lantern she grasped in her mouth. The snow lying on the path before her sparkled as the beams of light shifted from side to side in time with the gentle swaying of the hanging lantern.
A sudden breeze blew through the narrow confines of the tree-lined road. Applejack felt the freezing air lift at her mane and chill her skin as it rolled over her. She stopped, setting down her source of light to grasp at the sca

Luna frowned as she cast a critical eye over the image of herself in the mirror, inspecting herself head to hoof. She turned slightly to get a better view of her flank, carefully scrutinizing the way her current attire perfectly hugged her waist, leaving nothing to the imagination. “I had not expected Rarity to create a gown for me, Twilight, and normally I harbor a most intense distaste for clothing, but this is indubitably the most comfortable gown I have ever worn. Quite exquisite, yet pleasantly simple as well. She is an amazing mare.”
“...Yeah, isn’t she?”
“Darn it, Spike, hold still! Your tie is crooked and I’m not letting you go out there like that!” Twilight groaned, pulling the dragon over so she could adjust it. “Anyway, Luna, I agree. She managed to match the color of your coat perfectly. I can’t say I’m a big fan of the l

She hoped Rarity appreciated it. Pinkie had great fun catching up with the Doctor and Derpy, overjoyed for the couple. A pony galloped toward her, holding a scroll in his mouth. He gave it to her, giving her a cautious look. Pinkie smiled, starting to get used to the looks. The scroll was a message from Princess Celestia, wanting to see her in the main tent. Pinkie nodded to the messenger, who turned and galloped off. “It was nice to see you, Zecora! Come visit again soon!” Twilight said to her friend as the zebra led her out the door.
“I must say, Twilight Sparkle, our meeting was quite fine! I assure you, the pleasure was entirely mine!” the zebra called back over her shoulder in her signature rhyme.
That went well, for once, Twilight mused to herself. Zecora had shown up several minutes early, bearing a letter confirming her appointment as Ambassador, as well as a large stack of paperwork containing everything from new trade proposals to military treaties. With each new proposal, Twilight felt her confidence grow; each one had been well-written, respectful, and most importantly, beneficial to both nations.
She stepped into the hallway outside the meeting room and stretched out with a pleasurable groan, contemplating taking a brisk walk before her next audience.

“Don’t worry, I will. And apologize to Angel for me; I doubt he’s too happy with me for stealing you away from him for a week,” Twilight giggled as she released Fluttershy, allowing the pegasus to throw her hooves around Luna’s neck.
“Bye Luna. You can write to me too, when you need it. Or, just if you want to... if that’s alright...” Fluttershy mumbled before pulling away.
“Thank you Fluttershy, it would be my privilege to write to you,” Luna replied with a wide and sincere smile. Leaning closer as the train shook into motion, she whispered, “However, you may wish to cut your farewells short, lest your train leave without you.”

Sharp shards of gravel were digging into her skin as rolled onto her stomach, wincing as a bolt of agonising pain shot up her arm from her left wrist. Opening her eyes, she saw just how much devastation the train crash had actually caused; trees all around her were ablaze or completely torn out of the ground after the carriages of the train had crashed into them. Applejack got to her feet, instinctively placing her hand over the bloody wound in her side. With a groan she gripped the shard of metal that had embedded itself in her abdomen.
