Still sat on the briefing room floor, Shepard reasoned that she would have to leave at some point. Unfortunately. She had gotten quite comfortable. And may have fallen asleep for a few moments.
Ah well, she thought, I guess I'll go get ready then. She had mixed feelings. On the one hand, she didn't want to see Thane, let alone spend time pretending to be his girlfriend. Not right now, it was too embarrassing. She didn't want to make a fool of herself. But, on the other hand, she couldn't wait. Hell, if she couldn't be his real girlfriend, why not just enjoy playing pretend?
But what should I wear? She thought as she dawdled towards the lift. What do clubbers wear? Could I get away with combat boots? Probably not.
I have nothing sexy. Should I be considering something sexy? As she trudged out of the lift, into her cabin, she was surprised to see Tali and Kasumi were already there, and her bed was covered in clothes.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I thought I was in my quarters," Shepard said
The Hunt - RevisedAs I moved through the forest, the earth was soft beneath the pads of my paws. My pack mates jumped and ran in short spurts, circling back to rejoin the pack before ranging too far. Their joy at running free under the light of the full moon was infectious. The Hunt - Revised3 months ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
The change wasn't easy. It was always painful, so she, my other self, always feared it. But, once the change was complete, the joy of it took over and I ran with my pack with no thought in my mind but the hunt.
With the alpha's signal, we ran long and fast, the wind ruffling my fur, the air rushing by, filling my nose with the scents of pine and prey. When the alpha scented a raccoon in the underbrush, he and several others trapped it. One of the pack members nipped at its rear, trying to force it out. Others, yipping eagerly, moved in an excited dance, bouncing on their front paws.
Finally, the animal made a run for it, trying to escape the sharp fangs that tore into its flank. It didn't get far. The alpha pounced on it,
School's OutI stood at the edge of the cliff and looked out over the small valley. The bright, mid-afternoon sun bathed it in light, color and shadow. From the small town below, the shrill screams and yells of children as they ran from their classrooms at the end of the school day echoed, filling my ears. Even when they were only playing, they sounded terrified.
They tumbled from their classroom doors. Most rushed toward the yellow behemoths in the parking lot while others plodded to cars lining the curb in front of the school. Still others raced toward the playground, challenging friends to a game of touch football in the grass covered field or basketball on the courts behind the school buildings. Their voices carried to me, shrill and excited, making me tremble.
I yipped, then growled, as another body bumped into mine, brushing my shoulder with his. Come on
Chimera: A Garrus / Shepard RomanceA/N: This chapter's rather long by my general standards so I hope that makes up for the long wait. CHAPTER 19: BREAKFAST
Garrus let out a low growl of frustration as his hand slid down and away from the door. He turned to call the elevator and as the doors slid open he mentally went over what he planned for the day: breakfast with Solana, talk to Chakwas and maybe, if he was lucky, he could nail a few minutes with Anderson. He stepped off the elevator and turned toward the direction of the Crew's Quarters. He had a few minutes before he had to get ready to meet Solana and, knowing her, she would probably be late anyway. The doors slid open and his Turian nose immediately picked up the scent of booze, sweat and the stench of vomit. Apparently, the rest of the crew had continued the party after coming

"Save your lives?"Shepard asked carefully, raising a puzzled eyebrow.
The blonde sitting comfortably across from her nodded, seemingly indifferently tucking a lock of her long hair behind her ear. "You are in the business of saving people, Commander; not asking you to do something all that extraordinary".
Shepard scoffed. "I am really in no mood for games and with every passing moment, what patience I have mustered is dissipating rapidly," she said sharply, stealing a glance towards the new dark monitors across the room. Seeing Thane had cracked her wall of strict self control, not to mention her determination to keep a cool head in this, she was well aware. She was just about to tell this Elena person to get on with it and name her terms; only she knew that sort of reaction would put her directly in the Cerberus' operative's power and she knew she couldn't afford that.
She forced herself to draw in a deep breath, acutely aware of Elena watching her

It took longer than it should have for Garrus and Javik, now accompanied by Kasumi and the two drell, to rendezvous with Liara and Vega, though they all felt they had very little time to spare at the moment.
As it were, the latter group was the first to arrive, since the meeting point was practically right by the spot they had been taking cover in to begin with. Both of them raised their weapons at the dry, muffled sound of footprints in the sand nearby, rolling their eyes at each other, as well as the larger party that joined them a few moments later.
Feron smiled suavely to Liara, noticing her frowning at him. "You're going to tell me off for this one later on, aren't you?" he asked airily.
Liara snorted. "Yes. You're supposed to keep me in the loop, not go off gallivanting on your own like this," the asari replied smoothly, though there was more relief than ire in her voice.
"Well, chew him out later, if you want to," Garrus intervened coolly, having moved to examine the somewhat ba

"I do not like this place," Javik remarked grimly, pausing, along with Garrus on a small ridge overlooking the mining settlement that was their destination. Both of them took care to keep behind some rocky outcrops that lined the cliffside, keeping out of sight, without either of them mentioning it; they were both soldiers, after all, trained in battle and both their instincts said the same things when it came to staying alive.
"Yes, me neither," Garrus huffed back, leaning out of their makeshift cover to look ahead through the scope of his sniper rifle. The settlement seemed awfully quiet, and he could see no sign of any movement at all, which did very little to reassure him. "There could be a whole army down there, hiding out, waiting for us to walk right into them".
"Small problem, that," Javik shrugged back, motioning towards a small, almost invisible path that seemed to lead downwards and into the neatly arranged group of containers that formed the settlement

They had been through so much. The trust she had to put in the highly trained assassin so he could fight with her. Finding his lost son; their reuniting bringing him peace. The suicide mission they bravely fought, saving the whole crew even if it seemed impossible. The warmth in her when he called her his Siha.
Both of them knew he was sick through it all. After the suicide mission, he hit the final stages. She hated to see him suffering. Apparently, there was a cure but the doctors said that his time had come and nothing could be done.

Beads of methane slowly fell from the thick orange sky in marble-sized blobs, coating the ground in glistening puddles. The drops pooled on the soft tar-covered sand and flowed over ice boulders down into a massive network of drainage channels, where they finally merged with the great sea of hydrocarbons below; Ligeia Mare. It was the second largest body of methane on Titan, stretching across one hundred thousand square kilometers of the moon's northern polar region. Its vast surface was wrinkled with bulbous waves which gently ebbed on the distant shores, soaking the grimy sand. Scattered across the surface of the sea were brilliant magnesium strobes of the various buoy probes placed by the previous expeditions, patiently monitoring the sea's chemical composition for signs of biology.
As they walked along the shoreline of this great sea of natural gas, Raymond Fitzgerald and Dmitri Sakharov were in awe of their surroundings,

The Pilgrimage Ends
Legion and Shira stepped out of the shuttle and into one of the spaceports that was on Rannoch. There was surprisingly a fair amount of people here, but Legion had heard that Rannoch had recently announced that they would now be accepting tourists because the Quarians immune systems were now strong enough to handle any suit breaches.
Along the way here, he felt that Shira wanted to ask him something but he figured it was just nerves about coming to a planet that she had never seen before and was worried that they wouldn't accept her. He tried to comfort her by saying that they would accept her but it didn't seem to work.
He looked around and saw his parents, his father was in a casual outfit with a hoodie and his mother was in her normal attire. He was surprised that his sister wasn't here to greet him.
Legion took a few steps forward but stopped when he suddenly heard someone calling his name; "LEGION!" He instant

As they walked the ghost still had its hand on Robin’s shoulder which made Robin feel a little uncomfortable as it did. It had such a cold touch to it that it almost felt like icicles would form on the spot. There was also the green crow on its shoulder that cawed aver now-and-then. To him, each time it cawed, Robin thought he heard a slight sound of the word fool or doom from it. That only made things more unsettling, as well as the silence from both the ghost and the area they were in.
“Where are we going, exactly?” Robin found himself asking out of impulse.
The ghost did not answer but, to Robin, it almost felt like it was answering as he began to see the scenery around them change. It was so much that everything changed overall, more like things were being added on to the already dismal settings as they were.
Shepard In The Tomb "I'm sorry, sorry that I lied." Shepard spoke to the darkness of her rubble tomb, it did not reply. "What! Do you want more? A final quote from the ever great Commander Shepard, saviour of the bloody galaxy!" Shepard let tears long held back flow freely, her voice choked with emotion as she spoke. "Well I'm not so great a saviour, I didn't save everybody!" She screamed it with enough force to shake the heavens, her fists bunched so tightly her knuckles would show as white, if only there was light to see it.
"What about Kaidan Alenko!" Shepard was alight with pure rage; she wanted to burst from this concrete cocoon, though she knew it was more of a coffin. "What about Richard L. Jenkins!" In her mind she was reciting the names of all the fallen, none were forgotte

Superman struggled with Bizzaro, holding him in full-nelson.
"Bizzro no lose to Superman!" his clone said. "Me love Superman. Me love him to death!"
"Feeling's...mutual!" Superman said as he finally tossed him to the side, hitting the wall as he did.
He flew down towards him but was met by a breath of fire from Bizzaro. This distracted him enough for Bizzaro to fly up and tackle him back into the air.
Speedy and Green Arrow started shooting a folly of arrows at the giant Cinderblock. They fired one after another, Cinderblock backing up before charging at them. They both rolled out of the way before he could smash them.

Commander John Shepard was lying on the couch in what he would call his new apartment, but after the events in the Bahak system, it was nothing more than a lavish prison to him. His home was just an ear shot's away from the Alliance headquarters on Earth, located in hustling and bustling Vancouver, of the United North American States. Lots of tall buildings and lovely patios for those who either had great Alliance connections, or really knew how to get the best in life. Shepard was not one of those people. Although, judging by his current living status, you would not think that. A large condo with snow white walls and floor, lamps giving off a calm blue light, bed and couch made out of special memory foam, working kitchen filled with food of the highest caliber, and furniture that would put the designs of the now extinct Ikea to shame. But all of that meant absolutely nothing to Shepard. After all, all the riches in the world couldn't make up for the l

He had been driving this same car for so long, through all the same routes of Gotham that they were committed to his muscle memory for good. Operating so easily allowed Bruce's mind to blankly contemplate the possibilities that were shown to him, the consequences of a five-year-long tragedy that cost the lives of many innocent people and the freedom of too many more. Jeff Dunham walked up to the security line and placed has bag onto the x-ray belt. The x-ray went off.
One of the security guards spoke up, "Mr. Jeff Dunham, it appears you have a nuclear weapon in your bag."
Jeff looked at the guard with a puzzling look, "...excuse me? Let's check my bag."
Both the security guard and Jeff opened the suitcase, and Achmed popped out the bag and said, "HELLO! I am Lindsay Loham!!!"
The guard looked at Jeff, "Is this one of your tricks, Mr. Dunham?"
Jeff shook his head rapidly, "Of course not, but I don't recall Achmed being ALIVE!!!"
Achmed looked at the two men, "Are you two infedels gonna keep arguing?"
Jeff looked at Achmed and said, "Shut it, bone boy!"
Achmed slowly ducked back into the suitcase while the security guard and
