Spike the "Hero"
The Crystal Empire was slowly becoming engulfed in a mass of threatening, black clouds; dark as the deadliest of storms. Screams could be heard all around as the crystal ponies began to panic. Up in the tallest tower in the city, Twilight found herself trapped within the confines of a black-crystal prison, the gems risen up from the ground, blocking any means of escape for the lavender unicorn. Just outside, Spike started to feel nervous. His eyes darted from side to side, his feet moved up and down like two, small pistons.
Twilight started to scramble within the crystal-walled trap, looking for the Crystal Heart with a set of panicked eyes.
"The heart? Where's the Crystal..." she started, voice q

A Spell Guided Her Quest
My heart in learning of arts
To be a costumer of lives
An artisan graceful
Needles and threads my swords and shields
My armors made of the finest silks
I had a talent to craft
An eye to match
With a young ambition:
Make dresses of princess' worth
Sew suits fit for a prince
But still my skills were lacking
The final touch to fulfill my art
In evening's dim it flickered:
Spell evoked from the heart
With magic's guide I started
The journey to the unknown
"Come rain or snow or choking drought
I won't turn away!
I'm on my way to find out
My destiny's call, what I yearn for "
Followed the path for my fate
For what lies beyond the far horizon
My spell led me across the land
Through forests, rivers and hills
Came night, faded daylight
But magic sign still sho

Learning to Smile
I was a child of stones
A daughter of the rock farmers
No joy was known there
But gloom and endless working
Under the hot, blazing sun
The barren fields, all without green
Granites were our flowers
Our grass made of sand and gravel
I breathed the choking air on the wordless world
I walked on soil bare of seeds
In a poor family among rocks
A child was born with a bright mane
Pink coat in colorless home
Such a punchline in a grey world
Gathered rocks in silence
Aching hooves our pay for a hard work
Dust on my eyes and throat
I dreamed of world out of my life
I breathed the choking air on the wordless world
I walked on soil bare of seeds
Throughout the days I gazed repressed at hollow skies
A solace for indifference
The tremor passed over our farm

Pinkie Pie was grinning from ear to ear as she bounced excitedly in her room within Sugarcube Corner. Twilight Sparkle was taking her on a date. She had never been on a real date before, but it sounded super fun, especially since it was Twilight and she was such a great pony. Pinkie just couldn't wait.
Suddenly, Pinkie decided she was hungry. Her head bouncing from side to side, she left her room and went downstairs. She saw some tasty looking pink cupcakes resting on a tray on a table. She threw three of them in her mouth all at once and gulped them down with a smile. They were super delicious. Pinkie's whole body quivered as she enjoyed the amazing flavor.
"Enjoying yourself, Pinkie?" Mrs. Cake, who was standing nearby, asked with an awkward laugh as she watched the pink pony. Pinkie glanced at her.
"Yep, yep! These are super tasty!" Pinkie cheered, bouncing toward her caretaker.
"That's nice, dearie..." said the older mar

Dear Twilight Sparkle,
My faithful student, I am surprised that you let Spike to write a letter to me. I'm very happy that he learn a lesson ever since your friend, Rarity learned hers back in Cloudsdale.
I also forgive him for his past actions like the time he sent a bunch of scrolls over me when I was busy reading one of my own. And I also didn't forget that time when he burned and delivered popcorn onto my bed when I was asleep. It was tasty but not at the right time when I'm not supposed to have a midnight snack, I just brushed too.
Anyway, how's the meteor shower which my sister demonstrated it to you & all of Ponyville back few nights ago? It is surprising that she haven't been putting up such a demonstration for a very long time since she was banished.
Lastly, I also bought a replacement copy of "Astronomical Astronomer's Almanac to All Things Astronomy", I bet the burned or torn pages I saw are coming from Spike which I got the feeling it must have been an accident. I hope you

A few times, she would see a young filly or colt and she would smile warmly to them and their parents would quicken their pace to get away from her. Fluttershy giggled and when she saw the annoyed look on Scootaloo's face she said, "I remember when I wanted to be just like Rainbow."
"Really? Aren't you older than her?"
"Yes, but I was always impressed with her bravery and ability. After a while, I decided that I will never be like her so I just chose to be myself."
"Well, I'm gonna be just like Rainbow!"
"And what's wrong with being Scootaloo?"

A certain pegasus flew back into Ponyville to find the entire town completely deserted. She flew all around, obviously checking the homes of her friends. Twilight’s Golden Oaks Library was all books and no ponies, every dessert in Sugarcube Corner was left untouched by Pinkie Pie, Sweet Apple Acres had no work of Applejack’s done, the Carousel Boutique had no Rarity for all those dresses, and Fluttershy’s cottage didn’t have a single living thing even living there.
Once Rainbow Dash checked everywhere else, she did find one caped figure standing in front of the town square. Next to the figure was a life sized statue of Rainbow Dash, but it was wearing a helmet, a red cape with a golden zipper, red strap on and a cloud making a yellow lightning bolt on it, and four golden gauntlets with tiny white wings for each hoof of the statue. The helmet and gauntlets were rainbow colored and had golden coverings to assure they were made of metal.
Once she flew close enough,

CHAPTER 12: Field Day Fiasco (First draft. Final version in the works)
Bucky, Orion, and Peach Cobbler were in a situation now. Not only had they inadvertently sent themselves and possibly their friends and family back in time, but now they were on the brink of erasing their own existences. Not only had they already run into the original Cutie Mark Crusaders, but now they had been invited to join them in the annual Ponyville Field Day. Bucky especially felt the pressure of secrecy thanks to his relation to Apple Bloom. Alone for the moment as Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle left to train for the event, the new CMC began to discuss just how deep in trouble they were.
"Of all the ponies in all the world," Bucky muttered, "I walk into mah aunt."
"We've got to be more careful, guys!" Peach added. "If we run into our moms the same way as we did with these guys..."
"We can kiss our flanks goodbye." Orion said, finishing her thought.
The three were in agreement. They could

My Final Letter to Princess CelestiaDear Princess Celestia,My Final Letter to Princess Celestia3 years ago in Drama More Like This
This will be the last letter I write to you as I finish up my role in reporting what I've learned about friendship. I've received your letter requesting me to return to Canterlot and teach in the School for Gifted Unicorns, and I cannot thank you enough for such an opportunity. It also seems fitting that I must leave Ponyville as well. My friends had all found their callings recently, one by one leaving Ponyville to pursue their dreams until Spike and I were the only ones left. I know now that it's my turn to branch out, and continue my life under your guidance.
When Rainbow Dash first announced she had been accepted into the Wonderbolts we were all so happy for her; she had dreamed of this day to come and now she could finally live it. To celebrate, Pinkie held a party for her and invited the Wonderbolts themselves; I'll never forget the joy she showed when they welcomed her into the squad.

In the main kitchen of Sugarcube Corner, a young earth pony was carefully covering a cake with bright pink icing. After she smoothed out the top, she stepped back to look over her work, spatula still in mouth. Before her were three cakes, each a different colour. They would all ready for decorating once the icing was allowed to set for a few minutes. Pinkie Pie trotted over to the kitchen sink, dropped the spatula within, and quickly washed her hooves.
With time to kill, and left alone in charge of the shop, she didn't have much to do. There were no customers, as she could see once she walked to the front of the store, but there were two little foals who were sleeping upstairs. She trotted to the upper level to check on them, making sure they didn't get into any mischief.
Quietly proceeding down the hallway, she looked in their room to see their crib empty. This, however, did not worry her.

I held in a growl watching Fluttershy panic in fear as she tried another loop. That pegasus is such a scaredy pony. It had been just about the same thing for the past hour or so. I'd demonstrate the trick Fluttershy would try, she'd panic, fall down, and whimper how sorry she was for failing. She's a pony that you can't seem to stay mad at, but she could be really aggravating at times, though.
Seriously though, I shouldn't be complaining. I was the one that had taken a day off weather duty to spend some time with Fluttershy and teach her a trick or two. But all she seemed to learn so far was a half loop, and how to fall without breaking anything.
Fluttershy sat on the ground, shaking her mane to cover her face. She was obviously embarrassed.
"Its okay, Fluttershy. You put in a great effort. It just takes practice." I had to hold back a choke at grea

The Twilights of Spike's Heart Chapter Eight: The End of a Beginning
As Twilight and Spike walked back to the library, the young dragon just seemed to have one question on his mind.
“But do you like me too?” asked Spike.
Twilight giggled slightly. “Yes Spike, for the fiftieth time yes.”
“But you said you loved me. Does that mean you like me or you like me as a friend or maybe you-“
Spike’s seemingly endless babbling was quickly cut short when Twilight suddenly planted a quick kiss on his lips. “Does that answer the question, Spike?” Twilight asked with a warm smile.
As soon as Twilight’s lips met his, Spike froze. The only sign of life in his shocked face was a quickly growing blush. After a few more seconds the purple dragon spoke. “Uhhhhhhh, yes?”
Twilight couldn’t help but giggle at Spike’s innocent answer. “Okay then. Shall we continue back to the library now?
Roots of a Heart: PreludeCelestia soared gracefully across the dark, starless skies. Her strong wings carried her with only the occasional slow flap towards the gentle red glow of the sunset on the far horizon. Below her the endless oceans and fields flew past in a blur, tiny lights now and then flickering in and out of existence among the rocks and trees. Occasionally she turned her head and let her deep purple eyes follow the lights as they faded away behind her. A sad and gently caring smile graced her regal face. The distance seemed to grow with each passing year, the end-point slowly drifting away with the ages.Roots of a Heart: Prelude3 years ago in Romance More Like This
Descending finally through the cool air, her gold-studded hooves touched down softly upon the vast open courtyard of beautifully patterned cobblestone and impressive carved stone pillars. Her wings folded along her sides as she walked slowly up the long, wide stairs at the foot of the massive iron gates. Her steps on the stone sent loud echoes ringing across the vast open plaza, rebounding off the

The sun was setting in Canterlot with the moon just creeping over the horizon. Princess Celestia walked into her bedroom, her mane put up into curlers. Luna followed close behind her, listening intently while sipping a cup of coffee as Celestia related the tale of her most recent visit to Ponyville.
"I mean seriously Luna, this is the second time they could have avoided the problem by simply ASKING me. Why don't they feel like they can just talk to me? It's like I'm PRINCESS Celestia instead of Princess Celestia."
Celestia's horn glowed as she levitated her crown off of her head. She briefly considered flinging it against the wall in frustration, but composed herself and set it down in its place on her bedside table. She floated over her nightgown to guard against the chill night air of the mountain as she vented her annoyance to her sister.

Fluttering Hearts Chapter 4 Clop Lite version There are many ways for a pony to spend a lazy afternoon: Catching up on their stories, grabbing a meal at a café, or spending time with their closest friends. However, when enjoying each other's company, some ponies prefer to be pampered to a certain degree in the process. For those in particular, Ponyville has one of the most delightful spas. Owned and run by twin sisters Aloe and Lotus, the center takes great pride in providing all sorts of refining services, from typical massages and steam rooms to exquisite mud baths and bathing seaweed wraps. This was where the yellow Pegasus Fluttershy could be found on this day, accompanied by the spas' most frequent customer Rarity. Also with them for the first time was Rainbow Dash, who had promised to come along only on the condition that they might come with her to watch her try out for the Wonderbolts in the not too distant future.Fluttering Hearts Chapter 4 Clop Lite version3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Twilight Sparkle gave a long sigh as she sat peering over a tall stack of books in her library home one day. She was bored. She had absolutely nothing planned and none of her usual books were keeping her attention. To make it even worse, Spike was off to Canterlot for a couple days again, so there wasn't even anyone to talk to. Not very long ago she would have relished the solitude as a chance to get some serious reading done, but after coming to Ponyville and making so many great friends now it just felt kind of lonely.
Still, she was sure she could find at least some book to keep her interested. There just had to be something. If the usual stuff wasn't working, maybe she just needed to look at something different, something she hadn't read before? This was a library after all; there were still a lot of books she had never read on a lot of topics she still didn't know anything about. Moving languidly to her shelves, Twi

Imagine if he found out [about "Friendship is Magic"]! There's no way he would approve. But I want to buy merchandise, shirts, and other stuff. So what do you think I should do about telling my parents?
Answer: Your dad sounds like a royal prick. I don't know what his upbringing was like, but your sexuality isn't defined by watching a simple TV show. "Phineas and Ferb" might be geared towards an audience younger than yourself, but I'm not sure why it would be considered, in his eyes, to be 'gay'. I think he might be getting mixed up between watching something that's distinctly effeminate and watching something that targets kids in general. If anything, "Phineas and Ferb" is a show pitched at boys (although, naturally, it does have universal appeal) and so I can see why you'd be worried about
Sharing A BlanketIt was a cold night, one that I will always remember. The stars twinkled off in the distance, making themselves visible in the beautiful night sky. I wasn’t able to observe most of the wonders of the outside world that night, as I was instead resting inside a small cottage, only able to base my observations out of what I could see through a window. As much as I loved to stargaze, such a thing did not occupy most of my thoughts during that night. I did, however, glance at the window every now and then, just to look for any constellations, an act which I quickly wore out, having found every one that occupied the sky that night.Sharing A Blanket2 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
No, stargazing was not an important thing that night, it was far from it. What was important however, was the pegasus who was cuddled up closely next to me. A single, warm blanket lay over the two of us, helping us keep ourselves from freezing. I lay next to her in silence, pressing closely against her side, and just enjoying her company.
