Thanks, everyone for sticking through with this! Sadly, this is the last chapter, but never fear! The second story will start up again after a few weeks (To be called Slightly More Crazy)! Enjoy!
“Is it really over?” You kept asking Arthur on the bus ride to school. “Is that even possible?” Normally, Arthur wouldn’t object to sitting so closely to you, but right now, you were being downright annoying.
He sighed. “Yes, _____, school really is over for the year.” He answered for what must have been the twentieth time in five minutes.
You watched him for a moment, before leaning on him, bored. Your MP3 player, unfortunately, had failed to charge after an unfortunate trip into soapy dishwater. You might as well listen to Arthur breathing, since you had read dramatic fanfictions where apparently that was interesting.
He stared at you. “_____, what the bloody hell are you doing?”
You looked up. “Eh, nothing.” You lean

"About Prussia my homeland " There was a pause, his voice filled with a melancholy gloominess. "It doesn't exist anymore. After World War II it was dissolved."
" how in the hell does it make it your homeland when it hasn't existed for over sixty years?" You muttered with frustrated impatience.
Gilbert laughed nervously. " because I was born before it fell?"
that certainly had not been expected.
But if what Gilbert just said is true, then then I'm

You rubbed your temples as Alfred and Arthur squabbled on the floor next to you. It’s amazing how these two are able to stay in the same room with each other. Of course, you would rather be sitting on your couch stuffing your face with candy on Halloween night but noo, Alfred had to barge into your house and literally drag your ass to Arthur’s.
Even though you had the biggest crush on the sandy-haired, baby blue-eyed boy with the glasses, you were not happy to be sitting in a circle with him in just a tank top and shorts. It may be Halloween, but you weren’t in the mood to play games, except for scaring little kids. However, underneath the unfazed façade you give always give off, you a

I let out an ear splitting scream as I jumped over to my right as fast as I could possibly manage. A loud crackling noise reached my ears and I briefly glanced over my shoulder with widened, panicked eyes. Ivan's scythe was embedded in the oak tree where my neck would have been if it wasn't for the fact that I jumped out of the way. My hand unconsciously snaked its way up to my throat and I gulped at the image of what could have happened if I hadn't moved.
"Aww. I missed.." Ivan let out a heavy sigh of disappointment and took a step forward with a pout on his face.
"Take one more step and I'll fucking rip your throat out!"
The state of panic I was currently caught up in slowly began to fade from my mind and I began to take in my surroundings once more. Gilbert was standing in front of me in a protective stance. His head was low to the ground and his haunches were stuck up in the air. The gleam of his claws and fangs caught my eye and I knew for a fact that the Prussian man--or t

Arthur snuck out of his room and into the library. The corridors where empty, guards absent in the late ungodly hours. The thumps of his black boots echoed through the walls, the organized stone bricks called walls seemed to be closer than usual, the shadows swaying with the dancing orange flame of his candle. Quiet and chilly atmosphere was held through his long trip to the library that was a few hallways away from his stairway to seclusion.
"Some information has to be there" He murmured to himself. He walked towards the large double doors, and opened the room. The smell of ink and old papers perfumed the enclosed area.
He looked around, crouching down and letting the candle light his way. He looked at the map that he pulled out of his long red jacket. Unrolled it with one hand, and examined it. He didn't understand much other than what Lovino translated. He was also told once entering the area where the fountain resided that a certain

There Alfred was, hanging upside down on his bed, reading an Avenger's comic with rapt interest. It was like he didn't even know you were there! Right as this thought filtered through your mind –high on adrenaline –I mean come on, you, a poor university student who didn't have a car and just ran all the way to your best friend's apartment complex didn't even pause for a breath before making the drastic climb up five flights of stairs to reach his room which was all the way at the end of the row –he looked up at you, glasses hanging precariousl

You jumped, backing up into your locker. Blushing furiously, you looked up at him, a scowl forming on your face.
“Gilbert! You scared me half to death!” You punched him in the chest, feeling a mixture of annoyance and awe at how hard his chest was. You shook the thought away, deepening your scowl.
“Kesese… Aren’t you jumpy, frau?” He repeated the German nickname, his grin widening even further. The red jacket he wore over his school uniform was only half on; to be more precise, it was only draped over his shoulders, and you could see his skin as he crossed his arms. Your blushed increased. It was unfair that he was so hot, especially since he was always bragging about how great he was.

Before - Ever After
A little ray of sunshine that was coming from the not completely closed curtains on Jamie’s room hit your face, waking you up. Every time you would come to stay with Jamie he would leave them a little open so the light would do exactly what it did today. You had come many times in the last two years to stay with them; it could be because of Sophie’s birthday, Christmas, summer among others. But this time was special. It was Jamie’s birthday, and you got to spend the morning with your favourite cousin and the Guardian of Fun; you've got to admit, it was a pretty good ending for a crappy week.
Last week, your parents decided that they wouldn't come with you to Jamie’s birthday, when they saw you were smiling, because of what they just said; they threatened you with not letting you go either. Instead they locked you in your room until the day you were supposed to leave and told you were

You knew Gilbert for lots of years. You were getting along with his little brother too, they had moved to your hometown with their grandfather when Ludwig was still a baby. In that time you were 12 years old and were one of the few people in your city who knew how to speak German.
You then began to be close to Gilbert. His Grandfather would sometimes ask you to babysit Ludwig, you would always accept because it was the times were you were pratically alone with your friend. Him and Ludwig were always excited about you coming at their home, the blond haired boy even called you "Schwester".
You cheered him up when he felt down, when he pretended he was having so much fun alone, and he did the same for you. However, you never dared to ask about him and Lud's parents, your mind telling you it was better like this.
When high school was over, you went on your own ways, separating from each other, but you kept contact and you used to spend you

Alquimia.

So far, you were dubious. Sure that albino "Prussian" was incredibly hot and the Frenchman with all the roses was handsome but other than that… nothing. And then the Brit came onstage.
He wore nothing but a pair of underpants in the colors of the British flag. He had messy blonde hair and brilliant green eyes with ridiculous bushy eyebrows that somehow didn't make him look ugly but all the more attractive. You sat up in your seat, staring attentively at the man.

You woke up in a bed. Warm blankets were wrapped tightly around you and you hiked up the quilts, about to doze off again, when you noticed the fine quality of the blankets. Yours at home were made of scratchy, stuffy wool, but these were made of something softer. Like cotton, but thicker.
A door to your right opened and you squeezed your eyes shut, feigning sleep as whoever stood in the hall made their way into your room. You felt gentle hands brush the sweaty hairs off of your forehead and unravel what felt like bandages from your head. The same hands pressed warm water to your temples, wiping something stubborn off.
When the hands left again you cracked your eyes open and looked at the damp rags that were stained red with fresh blood. Anger flooded into your veins, the damn pirate had made you bleed!
Your nails dug into your palms, cutting the tender flesh, as you tried to restrain your anger. The large figure loomed back into your line of sight

Absolute silence that no one wanted to break.
The moment you heard the voice, you didn't want to believe it was true. Out of all people in this world how could it be him?
It was unbelievable.
It didn't make sense.
It was terrifying.
Your mouth gaped, no words flowing out. In your mind, you kept reassuring yourself it wasn't him. But it had to be him; it was his voice that reminded you. And that voice sounded like a sound of thunder.
You never knew when it was going to come next. That's how you described his sudden appearance.
"Go on, guess." His voice sounded spiteful, sending instant chills sliding down your body.
Your heart jumped over a beat.
'It's not him.'
Saying his name would be impossible.
'He wouldn't come just to see me cornered would he?'
But it was true that it was him.
' No he would see he saw me in pain once...'
And he would see you in pain twice.

You pulled back, smiling serenely as you surveyed your work. Gilbert shakily lifted his head and stared at you, eyes wide with nothing but disbelief. He opened his mouth to speak, clearing his throat a few times and swallowing, before finally saying in a trembling, astonished tone, "(Name), you're...a...C-Caster...?"
And then it happened.
The power was suddenly gone, back to wherever the strange place it had come from, and your legs buckled from underneath you. The pain was back in your shoulder, blazing up once again in a throbbing, aching tremor. The last thing you heard was Gilbert's distressed cry of "(N-NAME)!!! Hold on...!"
And then you heard and sensed no more.
A familiar darkness surrounded you once more.

Glorious Saint Michael, guardian and defender of the Church of Jesus Christ, come to the assistance of His followers, against whom the powers of hell are unchained. Guard with special care our Holy Father, the Pope, and our bishops, priests, all our religious and lay people, and especially the children.
Saint Michael, watch over us during life, defend us against the assaults demons, and assist us especially at the hour of death. Help us achieve the happiness of beholding God face to face for all eternity. Amen.
Saint Michael, intercede for me with God in all my necessities. Obtain for me a favorable outcome in the matter I recommend to you. Mighty prince of the heavenly host, and victor over rebellious spirits, remember me for I am weak and sinful and so prone to pride and ambition. Be for me, I pray, my powerful aid in temptation and difficulty, and above all do not forsake me in my last struggle with the powers of evil. Amen.

“So do you remember any of your dreams”, I asked him as a rolled into bed.
“Only you running away after I kissed you I saw clearly.
Everything else felt like a dream”, he chuckled as he wrapped

He kissed the nape of my neck and smiled. “Of course I meant what I did...

Looking to the left again, you decide to try that way. You softly knock on the door. No reply.
"Ludwig, are you in there? It's (Name)." A few seconds pass by but still no reply. "I'm coming in, okay?" You say before turning the door knob, it wasn't locked. You enter the room, looking around. No one was in it. 'That's weird, where is he?' You notice a connecting door was open, must be his bathroom; the light was on, as were the ceiling and nightstand lights. Taking another look around the room you notice a familiar big flag on the opposite wall oh no. It was a Prussian flag.
As you make this realization, the bedroom door closes shut with a semi-loud bang. You turn around with a jump and see the real owner of the room clad only in boxers with a partly damp towel on his still wet hair leaning on the part of the wall that had been covered by the door. Some left over water was dripping off his, now slightly darker, silver hair and running down his ni

But it doesn’t come.
You feel something catch you, slowing down the pace of your fall. You slowly open your eyes, daring to relax.
The wind whirls around your feet and shins, providing a cushion between you and the hard ground.
It slowly sets you down, your feet softly making contact with the earthen floor.
It leaves your feet and swirls up and around you in a single, long, invisible line, making you giggle as your clothes dance slightly from the wind. You’re reminded of a cat’s tail wrapping around its owner’s leg as it purrs, longing to be pet and loved.
It leaves the rest of your body and rubs against your cheek, feeling very much like a delicate hand resting on your face in a final farewell. Then, it departs.

You sighed again for the umpteenth time today, crossing out a whole six measures. You out of the window, distracted once more. Why couldn't you just get over it already? It's been a week since the road you two had once shared had forked into two paths, each leading away from the other. At first, the two of you had even agreed that it just wasn't going to work out. But now, now... You sighed once more as you took a sip of your coffee and tried to run a hand through your rather messy and tangled hair. Of course, it got stuck. Walking to the bathroom, you grimaced at the image in the mirror before you. Rather halfheartedly, you took a shower, brushed your teeth once more, and cleaned yourself up. With nothing for you to do, you went and did what used to be like second nature to you.
Walking to the grand piano set aside in an adjacent room, you sat down and gently caressed the keys. You just sat there for a moment, letting the good and b

"(Name)! What is it?"
Two pairs of arms wrapped around you. "You're...not dead! I did save you! Thank god!"
Arthur and Alfred gave you confused looks. "Nightmare?" asked Arthur.
You nodded and shuddered. "All of you were trying to kill me because I couldn't save you."
"Nonsense (Name), we're alive and well thanks to you."
You sighed and looked out your window. You could hear sounds of gunfire in the distance. 'More injured soldiers. When will this blasted war ever end?'
"I've got to go back to work...There's food in the fridge for you to have for lunch." you said.
Dragging yourself out of the bed, you grabbed the pistols you had bought. "Here." you said handing the guns to them. "Just in case. Lay low. I'll see you when I get back."

Gilbert seemed to take your silence to his advantage. Suddenly both his hands were cupping your cheeks, pulling your face closer as his leaned in. For one tense moment there was nothing but a couple centimeters of air between both of your lips.
"Ich liebe dich, (name). Ich liebe dich."
And then those centimeters of air were gone and replaced with Gilbert's smooth and confident mouth, and it felt like the entire universe had suddenly exploded.
Shock raced through your veins like mercury, making your limbs feel heavy and your eyes slowly slide shut. Your head tilted slightly, hands quivering as they grasped Gilbert's forearms for support. A small sound emitted from your lips, a somewhat squeak muffled by the barrier of his own meetings yours, and all you could think about was how perfect the moment felt.
