So Here is Alura Again but this time as my newest ID. There is however one major change done to her and that is the Lighting !!
I will explain more in Journal later but I had a comment placed on the original image yesterday and as I read his page I noticed he had a light set for sale, well after I talked to him and saw his test renders, I knew I had to have his set, So I bought them..... All I can say is WHOA !!!!! These Lights are Amazing ... The Lights are for Daz Studio and use the Uberenvironment 2 (which I knew nothing about...lol)
The lights are amazingly easy, all I did for this render was click on the icon and it was there, all ready for me to render... now that is what I love... haha
Anyway, If you are looking for amazing lights for your renders and even if you are not, I highly recommend getting these, you will love them.... ok now I just sound like a commercial
You can get these lights from
I will say, the only postwork that I did on this was the ground shadow (I did not use a backdrop when I rendered the Image) and a little bit of the hair cause I screwed up the original and had some poke through and totally forgot before I rendered this one...lol Other than that, this is totally what came out of DS4 (free Version)
Creating something, anything is always a form of magic. Even just the fact of putting two things together to create something new is astounding, and the building blocks of life. Energy on the other hand, can not be created. Not matter how much you try you can't create energy. It is always there, whether potential or kinetic.
Put these two different things together, and you get life. You have to have energy to give things life, and things to give life to. In this way, All life is Magic.
To be honest, this started out as a vent. I had a horrible day, but instead of moping about it, I decided to channel my energy into the two things that have provided so much meaning for my life. Koko is a year "old" today, and Ahk will be two years in eight days. Though I created these two, they have done much more for me that I ever thought they would. They got my through my Associate's (Animation) degree, and now are working me through a BFA (Bachelor's in Fine Arts) in Illustration. My characters and their world make me WANT to draw. I love giving them a story to be able to share with people. For know it is me and a few others, but soon, it will be lots of people.
I created these two. Through some sort of magic, imagination most likely. XD I give them some of my life, my energy and devotion and they begin to come alive before me. Their actions, habits, thoughts, personalities, every day they become better and more alive. Granted, I am not putting this and this together to that, but it is still creation. They will also never exist for real, but my job as a creator is to make it seem as they do, and I am merely telling their story.
Happy Birthday to Koko, and Happy Early Birthday to Ahk.
New Year means new ID, I guess. I was trying to do something a little different with this one by trying to do a self portrait based off of the style of Fred Moore, one of Disney's legendary animators that's pretty much responsible for how Mickey Mouse looks today. I just love his style in general and relate my sketch and animation style to him. At least, that's what dad has told me. |D;
Also featured is my cat, Tinker Bell, sugar glider, Kidgie, and the family dog, Jock.
Well here's the new for 2013. I wanted something different so I came up with the Sketch Knight; fearless artist who travels the land capturing nature's essence in his drawings....or something like that. The sketch book I'm holding is a play on the Strathmore newsprint sketch books I use, there's a picture of a chair on the cover, I guess trying to get your juices flowin with chairs. I've got my pencil cases, big paper for big sketches complete with over sized novelty pencil. Done in ToonBoom Harmony, enjoy!
