A quick (hour or so) doodle of a Langurhali guy I had a sort-of dream about. More like, he appeared for a split second during a big dream about being in Willora and just spending the day there, watching the Langurhali work and clean and cook and build. There was a little circle of Langurhali off to the right of the forest that I walked by, all surrounding this severely broken, frail, purple-ish Langurhali male. He was an adult, rather tall, but very thin like he'd spent years in the Forgotten Forest and suffered all kinds of ailments and fought all kinds of creatures there. There was a younger female who looked just like him, hugging him and crying, perhaps a little sister... not sure but I just had to get this guy sketched out before he left my memory. Not sure of a name yet.

Commission done for brejar on FurAffinity

This commission was in progress for several weeks and I finally managed to finish it last night. Feathered wings are seriously the bane of my existence I'll tell you that right now. XD

This is a pic of brejar's wolf character that was incredibly fun to draw. Her clothing from the description was a bit challenging to color. Her fur was also rather difficult, she is supposed to have black fur with silver flecks in it randomly. The more silver I added the more muddy her colors looked so I left it with hints in some of the highlighted areas and it seemed to work out all right.

Anyways, one commission down and enjoy people! ^^

I used to draw these characters all the time in Junior high, so I guess that would mean I have been drawing them for ten years now. If I dare say that, because mentally I still see myself as ten. Anyway, this is a featured character from what I call my Zannies.
These are my anthropomorphized interpretations of the stock characters from the Commedia dell'Arte, or for those who might not know, the Italian improvisational theatre. The artform has a long standing tradition that has extended from the Renaissance to the Late Victorian and features personalities that are still common roles in comedy today. Such as the Clever Servant, his smarter female counterpart-The Servetta, The Miser, The Lover, ect.
So, as 'The Elegant Beast' would be an anthropomorphic tribute to period costume, these representations are tribute to the characters I studied and loved as an adolescent. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. : )

Updated from the old ref from a year ago. I've also added a Character Entry on my LJ that tells all about her and has lots of other art examples of her, by myself or others :3

I know she looks hard to draw, but thankfully I'm not picky on how you choose to portray her patches or markings! She can have zebra stripes for all I care, as long as they're that dark pink. Her patches can be COMPLETELY different if you want, the ones shown are just to give you an idea. Her legs should have the most patches; from thighs-down, looking more like sewn-on patchy socks or something, only with claws on the ends. Her yarn hair should be pretty long and can be any combination of dark purple, lime green, turquoise and/or hot pink. Be creative! She's complex, but most of her details can be up to you! All I ask is that she always have her collar, third eye (or more eyes!), eyestalk-horns, and super long tail (which can be mostly hidden or coiled up behind her, if you prefer). Parts of her can also be torn/ripped, showing cottony stuffing. You can take off an arm or leg, even, I don't care. XD

This pic is completely 100% the fault of my local cheapy movie theater.

This local movie theater has movies that are out of the main stream movie theaters but are there until they come out on DVD basically sometimes a bit longer. Every day tickets are only $2 cause of it, and quite frankly I don't care if you say it's "old" if I can see it for $2 instead of my usual $10 or $11, I'll see it there lol.

Well low and behold they had Beauty and the Beast still there and not just in 3D but the original 2D showing from 1991 as well. Well since Tuesdays they have a special where tickets are only $1 a piece, how could I say no?

When Beauty and the Beast came out I saw it with my family in theaters, but I didn't really get to appreciate it. Why? I was 4 years old LOL. I've always loved the movie but I kinda got bummed knowing I didn't really get to enjoy it on the big screen. All that changed this week.

Seeing this movie in the theaters, renewed my love affair with classic Disney movies. So I was inspired to try to draw Clemi in Disney style. Hopefully I did their style some justice. X3

Enjoy guys! <3 I know I love this to pieces...

Btw, background and pose reffed from an Enchanted wallpaper I found on the net while searching for style refs. ^^

Pronounced Nigh-lee. A Langurhali gal I made almost two years ago and originally meant to keep private. She's pretty special to me. Her necklace is a (rather poorly-sculpted) heart made from a chunk taken form the back of one of Vera's horns. I'll share her story at some point, maybe.
