I listen to Hollywood Babble On, a thoroughly puerile show (probably one of the reasons it’s on my playlist) which is hosted by Ralph Garman and Kevin Smith. A little while back, a teacher of Garman’s kid was said to be in the audience and Garman joked that he’d better be on his best behaviour otherwise the teacher would call child protective services ‘round.
Smith’s jokingly sexual humour over the course of the show didn’t help out with this at all, AND it gave me an idea for a quick pin-up to draw….. which I did….. and which I thought, at the time, would be really funny to send to them….. which I did…. along with a gag about me drawing smutty comics…… which has come back to bite me…..
Oh, god, there isn’t a rock big enough for me to hide under.

When I first sold LMS to Paramount, a lot of people asked me: "How much money did you get?" "You're probably rich now, right?"
I mean, the solid gold mansion I bought was just a little gift to myself...but...
Ever since I was little, I've known I wanted to draw. From the day my parents put a pencil in my hand, this was my future. I just knew it, I had that gut feeling. So I stuck to it, and thankfully it took me to heights I'd have never imagined possible. Now with my new book Redemption heading off to studios soon for a hopeful movie package, I can't wait to see where this new road takes me.
That said, there's something else that tops all of this.
The other night I went out to visit my girlfriend's cousin and her family. Incredibly kind people with very sweet kids. Other than the two parents, there were 3 kids, but the one who caught my interest was the eight-year old boy, Diego.
Diego, shy, tiny, slender, reminded me of myself when I was his a

I have just recently received the opportunity to become the "Science Fiction and Space Art" Community Volunteer Gallery Moderator here on deviantART.
I am looking for "Science Fiction and Space Art" deviations to feature as Daily Deviations, and you can help.
If you know of any submissions that you think should gain more exposure and be Featured as a Daily Deviation,
and they are "Science Fiction and/or Space Art"related, send me a DD Suggestion via note.
I have info on my front page regarding how to suggest a DD if you have any questions.
I would prefer suggestions for artists that have less exposure and little to no previous DD's,
but I am not against awarding a Daily Deviation to worthy art from a more well known and decorated artist.
I simply want to try to focus on putting a spotlight on lesser known artists that have amazing art to share, so that their work ma

The man played a whole range of characters, from Smee (Hook) to Khrushchev (Enemy at the Gates) but he'll probably be remembered (and envied by those of us with a looser grip on reality) for his role as Eddie Valiant, the LA gumshoe from Who Framed Roger Rabbit whom the badly-drawn Jessica bounced off, slunk around and serenaded.
For that, I think we'll all forgive him for Mario Bros.

Tolkien was, undeniably, a genius, but, for the love of creativity and dynamism; read another f**king book, people.
There's a world of culture, history and myth out there to seek inspiration from! Fantasy should be an exciting, twisted reflection of the world around us, not an endless stream of pirated Lord of the Rings DVDs.
Farewell to The CountJerry Nelson, best known as the voice and pupeteer of Sesame Street's numerically-obsessed vampire, The Count, has died:Farewell to The Count3 years ago in Personal More Like This
He did a great deal of work with Jim Henson and company, so, anyone who A) was a child, and/or B) ever watched TV, will most likely have seen or heard him at some point.
Due to the fact I suck at math, The Count obviously failed me on that front, but damn did I get some good tips on maniacal laughter.

Designing for Fiction: A Sense of Human ProportionIf there is one issue I consistently take with contemporary sci-fi, it is its oft questionable notions of "good design". If done well, weak material can be elevated to credibility, but when it is done poorly, even the best, most expensive productions can seem cheap and silly.Designing for Fiction: A Sense of Human Proportion3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Here, I am going to address one of the most essential aspects that can make or break all else: a sense of proportion.
Fundamentally speaking, our sense of proportion ultimately begins with ourselves, our perceptions of the world measured against the familiar scale of our own bodies and activities. Buildings, vehicles, the world around us: we often only appreciate scale when we can draw a direct comparison, or see a representation of human scale in contrast.
Consider how the world used to seem bigger when we were small children. Relatively speaking, it was bigger: for an average adult, it has been reduced to a quarter or even a
O__________OSo last night I stopped at a gas station to get, well, gas, while I was doing my paper route. I had a complaint from a customer, stating they did not receive their paper yesterday. Me being, well, me, I carry around with me (in my car that is) a small portable typewriter. I don't have good penmanship AT ALL, so when I need to leave a customer a note on a manner I type one up and put it with their paper. Anyway,so I'm sitting there pumping gas while typing on my typewriter listening to my MP3 player, which is hooked up to play through my car speakers. Suddenly some good ol' Benny Goodman comes on. Oh yea, I"m happy, so I turn it up some.O__________O3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I then hear the click of the gas nozzle finishing fillin' up Simmons (my Blazer to who don't know the story) and stepped out to put it back. From inside the gas station a ninty-ish year old man walks- no- waddles out and heads for his car in front of mine. Well he hears the music, so waddles over to me curiously. By that time I'm back inside my vehicle

"Explicit Pornography"?! Aw, jeez, guys. You must have the worst collection of porn on the planet to think that was explicit.
A 90s Rochelle Swanson outing was more explicit that that pic, and that stuff got aired, uncut, on terrestrial UK TV (god bless you Channel 5, you made the young Jack jolly).
I believe that, for something to be labelled "explicit", SOMETHING must be visibly going in SOMEWHERE. Such was not the case in the offending image,

Orcs of MaineEveryone's used to politicians badmouthing each other and highlighting flaws in their opponents to try and belittle them in front of the eyes of the public.Orcs of Maine3 years ago in Personal More Like This
In my little corner of the world, things like fraud and corruption regularly bubble to the surface, usually by way of the media. The police investigate and the offending politician is, more often than not, destroyed. Possibly literally, as they're not usually heard from again, but more likely because the parties distance themselves from the offending moron, who was stupid enough to misbehave while the public gaze was upon them.
The parties use incidents like that to discredit their rivals and question their abilities to govern.
Occasionally an irrelevant element of a politician's personal life will crop up as the focus of a jibe, but it's never seen as anything more than that. Using, say, a harmless hobby to try and smear someone in Parliament would be seen as monumentally petty.
"Petty" is not a word American politicians seem to h

Yet again the Mass Effect Fandom proved that it will not leave the ending in the state it was presented in the game. A certain (fan!) mod was created (and is right now in the testing phase) a Happy Ending Mod for ME3. We can destroy the Reapers, Shepard lives (EDI and Geth too) and most importantly of all we don't have to worry about the Star Child.
Instruction how to install it and the mod itself can be found here:
You can also check how the mod works here on youtube:

Till for the win - Argument 4Back for another argument. This one is both hillarious, serious and sad at the same time!Till for the win - Argument 43 years ago in Personal More Like This
I put this up to you who really think that Rammstein are Nazis, and I post this video to prove you once and for all that you are wrong
This video is taped during Rammstein's live-performance in Philadelphia, the 26th of April 2012. If you pay attention to Till and Paul during the intro to Ohne Dich, you can see Till spit, and shout at someone in the audiance. This is all because that guy Till is angry with, was making Nazi-signs at them.
Till also got this dude kicked out from the concert, which wasn't more than right!
This was written all over the internet and I can't call it anything else but "Till for the win". Doing that to this guy clearly proves that they're all sick of people accusing them for being nazis. If they were nazis they would probably be proud over that guy, and recieve him with another of their own nazi-signs.

Yes, we're back on the gun-debate-thing. And this time the pro-gun crowd are pissing me off because they've set in motion a chain of events that will stifle the potentially fabulous ability to transfer what you create on your computer into the real world.
The man behind it harps on about liberty being his motivation for doing it.
Liberty has to be tempered with responsibility, otherwise you just have anarchy. Using new technology to build a gun doesn't make you a champion for freedom, it makes you an attention seeking moron who gives the powers-that-be REASON to restrict it. They will now do everything the can to prevent the proliferation of the technology. They
Texas Abortion Bill FilibusterIn case you live outside the USA and haven't heard of this yet, Texas was preparing to vote on a radical bill that would effectively outlaw abortions within their boarders. Senator Wendy Davis came in early in the morning with the expressed intent of filibustering: The goal being to delay the critical vote.Texas Abortion Bill Filibuster2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Wendy Davis talked for 11 hours straight. No food. No drinks. No bathroom breaks. She couldn't even pause for a moment to take a sip of water or else she'd give up the floor and the vote could get underway. 11 hours straight she talked and just before the midnight cutoff she was interrupted, and the vote began... only to become absolute pandemonium as the crowd watching protested the interruption.
The GOP insists that the vote carried and passed, while the Democrats insist that they were still taking votes after the midnight cutoff thanks to the chaos that ensued. This is going to be one of those instances where the GOP are gonna try to lie and shove their way through our diplomatic
Evil Dead RemakeIf an original film has a splendid core concept, but a budget too low or a director too inept to do it justice, I don't mind a remake. I'll applaud it.Evil Dead Remake2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The most toxic remake thus far has been "Total Recall", which was terrible simply because it used the original as a crutch at more than a few points and, despite having a massive budget and 20 years of technological advancement on the original: felt less exciting and epic.
Closer to the book, sure, but just not as much fun.
And now they've turned their gaze upon "Evil Dead".
Now, I'm not going to try and defend the original Evil Dead, because it's not actually that great a film. This is proven with "Evil Dead 2", in which the entirety of the preceding movie's plot and purpose is successfully reduced to an opening act. Something that wouldn't have been possible were the movie, y'know; good.
"Evil Dead 2" is awesome. It's called a "cult classic" for a reason, and, in my eyes, should have rendered the whole franchise "sacred", meaning you
Argument 1 - Mann gegen MannSince my journal about Rammstein not being nazis got so popular, and many of you are still trying to convince your parents that Rammstein are not Nazis, I decided to upload something I will call "The argument of the week". I am so sick and tired of all these false accusations so I thought it'd be healthy for dA to read these and spread them further So I hope you will like them and agree with me! And I hope you understand I'm doing this only because I support Rammstein, and I will try as long as I live to change peoples opinion about Rammstein. Correct me if I'm wrong but this has to stopArgument 1 - Mann gegen Mann3 years ago in Personal More Like This
So my first argument I will call Mann gegen mann
If Rammstein were truly Nazis, would they really let themselves be touched by naked men soaking in massage-oil?
Hm, no I don't think so.
As everyone know the Nazis didn't only grow hate against the jews, but also against handicapped people, gypsies and HOMOSEXUAL people. If you've seen and/or heard the video/song Mann gegen Mann you
