Alice is stuck inside of "Drink Me" vial in this book sculpture. This antique glass jar measures nearly 4 inches high. Text from "Alice in Wonderland" swirls around Tenniel's original illustration. A wonderful small gift for any Alice lover.
So I've been working with a gentleman for a few weeks now about a commission piece. His wife loves Alice, he wants to get her a sculpture for Christmas. We'd been debating what scene would be the best to do when the light bulb FINALLY went off in my head and I remembered I'd done an Alice before. I sent him a picture and he loved it, just wanted it as an open book. SO, here she is...and I couldn't resist adding the white rabbit because, in my mind, he is seriously overlooked.
Commissions are always available. Note me or check out my Etsy shop: [link]
Alice has grown too big for this ornament! Illustration and text taken are taken from a copy of Alice in Wonderland. Illustration is hand colored. The text at the bottom of the bulb is free floating and can be shaken to the desired position.
Two glass ornaments hold two iconic scenes from Alice in Wonderland. Alice considers the "drink me" bottle and takes tea (or tries to) with the Mad Hatter. Made from original illustrations from the book that have been hand colored. Script at the bottom of the ornaments also taken from the Alice books.
These go along with the Wizard Of Oz book sculpture. They were a commission piece. Originally, the client only wanted the slippers done, but I went a little crazy and did a whole scene. But, as promised, did the slippers as well.
Alice follows the white rabbit in this miniature world. Bad from a vintage tray with glass dome, this book sculpture stands approximately 6 inches high. Flowers, tree, grasses and stone path are made from the pages of "Alice in Wonderland". The illustrations used are the Rackham illustrations.
Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tinkerbell fly across the Never-Sea...and right over Captain Hook's pirate ship! This book sculpture is contained in a thick glass dome which measures approximately 7 1/2" in diameter by 7 1/2" high. Illustrations are taken from a 1957 version of J.M. Barrie's most loved work, "Peter Pan and Wendy", illustrations by Marjorie Torrey.
Peter will soar on your tree inside this ornament. Made from the pages of Peter Pan, Peter and Tink sit inside of this ornament with text from the book in the bottom of the bulb. Text is free floating and can be gently shaken to the position desired.
Alice is attacked by the Queen's Cards as she stands trial in this book sculpture. Made from a Dutch copy of "Alice in Wonderland" with the Rackham illustrations. Available for sale: [link] My shop: [link]
It's lonely being a spy. 007 walks through "Casino Royale" in this sculpture. Not available for sale, this is a gift for a friend of mine, but I did happen to pick another Bond Book. The title is "You Only Live Twice". If anyone has an interest in commissioning a piece with it I would be glad to work with you.
