Final Fantasy VII Loveless ACT 1-5PrologueFinal Fantasy VII Loveless ACT 1-52 years ago in Personal More Like This
When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting
Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess
We seek it thus, and take it to the sky
Ripples form on the water's surface
The wandering soul knows no rest
There is no hate, only joy
For you are beloved by the goddess
Hero of the dawn, Healer of worlds
Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul
Pride is lost
Wings stripped away, the end is nigh
My friend, do you fly away now?
To a world that abhors you and I?
All that awaits you is a somber morrow
No matter where the winds may blow
My friend, your desire
Is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess
Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
My friend, the fates are cruel
There are no dreams, no honour remains
The arrow has left the bow of the goddess
My soul, corrupted by vengeance
Miralce Of Sound - Sovngarde SongFrom the mists of the mountains a deafening callMiralce Of Sound - Sovngarde Song2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Bellows down over the plains
On a host of battle-worn ears it does fall
Pushing out through the thunder and rain
These men of the north they have suffered too long
The anger it swells in their veins
Of the spirited roars of lost warriors' songs
Distant echoes are all that remain
And my voice is my violence
Clear the sky's frozen tears
And no more we'll be silent
With this Sovngarde song in our ears
And we stand tall
Sons of the snow
We will not fall
Under these blows
For our hearts they are hardy
Our spirits are strong
And our voices are lifted into
This Sovngarde song
Conquer the anger and ravenous rage!
Make it a part of your power
Pummeling down let your bloodlust engage!
Under your force they will cower
Feeling the fury so pure and so bright
Breaking the bonds of surrender
Under the moon for our home we will fight
And we will die to defend her
And my voice is my violence
Clear the sky's frozen tears
And no more we'll be silent
Why It Sucks To Be a Cosplayer on HalloweenArt By :iconraggedy-annedroid:Why It Sucks To Be a Cosplayer on Halloween1 year ago in Personal More Like This
So it is Halloween. I am a cosplayer. Here it is, the greatest of all dress up holidays! And I am always disappointed. Here are the top 5 reasons it sucks to be a cosplayer at Halloween.
1) Friends (including friends of friends) come out of nowhere to ask for costumes. They just ask for a little help. On their giant full body armor masterpiece. The week before Halloween. Because you know, you make costumes and it's easy for you. And the price? Well, it's "for a friend" price. Which is always "free" or "I'll pay you $20 never" which boils down to "get you a shot of Jack sometime." Sadface.
2) Costumes in my closet everywhere, but none for Halloween. Yes, I have over 60 costumes. No, none of them will ever be recognized at a Halloween party. One year I dressed as Pris from Blade Runner out on the town, which I thought would b
Bought a character or design?Update: I find it mildly disturbing that there are artists that SELL you the rights to something and ask you NOT to resell it AT ALL(even the same price or less), what the hell? Something similar would be paying $50,000 for a car and it's illegal to resell it, so you're just stuck with it when you don't want it anymore OR you can give it back to the dealership (or in this case, artist) for free? I see it as stealing, selfish of you to ask, and bullshit.Bought a character or design?3 months ago in Personal More Like This

Everyone hast their own source of insiration.
May it be merely by looking out of the window, having a walk in a vast alley or small forest, by listening to music or by seeing artwork of other artists who express themselves through art and even more. Every single of us finds their own little pathway to getting inspired.
How do you find inspiration?
What inspires you mostly?
Does inspiration for a great idea come to you by looking at a white sheet or thinking of a melody?

After I found that weird statement (posted in my poll) On reddit I felt like looking through some evolution stuff, and came across it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temporal_fenestrae#Temporal_fenestrae Im such a nerd GO read it its so much weird intresting info <3
that made it so much easier to see how some early reptiles were more similar to mammals than reptiles themselves. woooo <3
I always love it when people who doesnt believe in evolution say that its just a theory and theres no facts or that a Fish cant just suddly jump out of the water and turn into a cow or that a giant Trex cant turn out to be a stupid chicken.

5 Ruts You'd Better Not Fall Into As A Writer1. Seeking validation on the outside and getting shocked when you get critique. Validation comes from within, folks. Hard life lesson, but there you are. First of all, every artist of any kind has to learn to tell themselves they've done good work even in the face of their detractors. (One just hopes they balance it out with taking valid critique into consideration so they improve.) If you can't, you're not going to accomplish much. Second, I'm not saying that encouragement and fans and book deals aren't very nice things, but to the creative process they can be massive distractions. I read recently that a core of stillness is necessary to the creative process, and the more distracted I get, the more I understand it. I have seen entirely too many writers (and by this I mean full-grown adults who should be emotionally mature and everything) seek validation in a desperate and pathetic way, and get outraged when — gasp — someone tells them their writing could improve. A little stressed...Personal Art?What? I hardly know the meaning of the word anymore XDA little stressed...Personal Art?7 months ago in Personal More Like This
Anyway, I've been finding myself a little stressed these past few weeks...I am trying to transfer colleges, my brother moved out for college, I have so much work...everything is just so stressful.
And then I looked back on my workload for the summer and realized that I really haven't created anything for myself. Art is really what keeps me going and feeling happy...the fact that I haven't really taken any time for myself this summer was quite a bummer. I just want one piece to hang up in my room to call my own.
I'm not making this journal to whine though! Quite the opposite. I found myself sketching out a large dragon on a piece of 24inch bristol board this morning, and I knew I wanted to finish him This project could take a few days, but I am hell-bent on getting it done. It really would be nice to finish him and have something big all to myself It seems like all of the big works I create nowad

:Iconwadifahtook: Lauren Banks and her husband Killian Zimmerman became my roommate in December of last year through this journal: http://wadifahtook.deviantart.com/journal/Anyone-from-Texas-303569515.
It was the first time that I had ever lived with someone aside from my own family. It was going to be a big step for me, but I took a deep breath and decided to trust and open my home. As an introvert suddenly struggling with social anxiety, I had to "step outside my comfort zone, give people the benefit of the doubt, and be a friend." At first, things went well. I guess there's always that grace period. Lauren Banks and I did art. We went to an SCBWI meeting. We talked politics and movies while she made tacos. We talked about her emotionally abusive mother and how they'd worked with mean, shallow people who smiled in your face before they stabbed you in the back living in Utah. I like having roommates. It was nice to have someone that
Good Story Advice and the Power of PatienceI recently picked up a copy of Stephen King's the Dark Tower I and while I've yet to read the actual story, the book opens with a thoughtful introduction that contains a number of insightful pieces of commentary. However, the particular part of this opening introduction that really stood out to me was the portion where King mentioned Tolkien's influence on him as a youth and as a writer. He talks about how wildly popular Tolkien's work was with kids growing up around that time, and how reading Tolkien's work eventually inspired his own. In King's own words:Good Story Advice and the Power of Patience2 years ago in Personal More Like This
"But although I read the books in 1966 and 1967, I held off writing. I responded (with a rather touching wholeheartedness) to the sweep of Tolkien's imagination-to the ambition of his story-but I wanted to write my own kind of story, and had I started then, I would have written his. That...would have been wrong. Thanks to Mr. Tolkien, the twentieth century had all the wizards and elves it needed."
And that's a big reas
Don't give up on artArt is not an exact science. There are no rules how to be done. Art is a feeling, emotion, your soul on a paper, canvas, notepad, street floors and walls...Don't give up on art2 years ago in Personal More Like This
If you want to draw - you are an artist.
You will say 'but but but...they draw better than me.. they sell art, and I don't "
Art is something you do, because you have the imagination inside of you.
You do it because you love to do it. Without a purpose.
I'd give such example: Same as people who read books, they do it because they love to do it. It makes them feel better.
And they don't expect to gain money out of reading, they dont expect to become popular, or to be better in reading that the other book readers.
They just do it because they love to do it.
Don't give up on the artist that lives inside of you. Don't throw him/her away.
Draw because you want.
***explanation: "There are no rules how to be done" - When we speak of painting, not about how your boss wants it done, and not designing. Simply PAINTING. ***

It's from Yugioh. But...seriously? This is the monster design they were going for with this guy? Couldn't the dragon head be on his tail or something?
I know the Japanese can be weird at times, but really, guys? Who got wasted on the sake to make this monster?
I think I'm gonna go cuddle with Neltharion. Because that scares me.

5 Pieces of Critique You Should Always Disregard1. "I have a problem with your premise." This is the red flag to end all red flags. I don't care how flimsy the premise is. Every idea has the potential to be a good story. Execution is something else entirely, but if somebody doesn't like your idea: don't listen to them. What they're basically saying is "I am not an Ideal Reader, therefore not your target audience, therefore I am not the right person to critiquing your work." I hate, hate, hate people who think you should be writing for broader audiences than your story is capable of reaching. If you're writing romance, you're writing romance for romance readers. You're not trying to reach hard science fiction readers. Very few people even know what makes a breakout mainstream novel that has high market appeal. If they did, every single book ever written would be Harry Potter. It just doesn't happen. And for somebody to ask you to make that happen is ridiculous and unfair. I don't have talked ANYTHING about it: I have been a bit anxious since January because not only because I'd need a job to finish my studies (which, in short, is that you go and do some work and write a huge raport) and I have tried to seek a place from this one company, which appeared to be not only good place with friendly people, but also that the job would be something including both my main university studies area WITH the need of good eye for details and colors (and that no one university can teach if you don't have them). Besides my part-time would become permanent afterwards so that would be my future work place as well, as the job is pretty rare and they'd teach me to do it. They'd have just one single vacancy, no more.
And they called that I got the place!!!!!!! After many calls to the

SO anyway let's get this thing officially rolling! YEAH! Before work pulls me into the abyss again.
We're going to be working on silhouettes!

A silhouette is the image of a person, an object or scene represented as a solid shape of a single colour, usually black, its edges matching the outline of the subject.
"When an object's silhouette is difficult to make out, we have a tough time keeping track of what we're seeing. It's why so many comics and drawings use the visual shorthand out outlining figures and objects. The shades and values of an object are secondary to the basic shape when it comes to recognition. As such, effectively managing silhouettes is a vital tool for visual narratives." - Aaron Diaz
