Eyes In The Sky - Chapter IAnother day dawned I knew would be a lot different to the usual. It was another day of new students arriving to the academy. Just in the past days I was asked once again to be one of the chosen guides to show the newcomers the way round the campus grounds. Not that I ever had a problem with this. I'm always happy to see new faces around here.
But before I keep on confusing you, my name is Leroy and I am a senior student at the Beast Academy. My beast form is a male eagle harpy, one of the rare kinds. I still remember my first day at the academy. It was a rather cloudy day but the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. This was the day I met my friend Jake, a male sphinx, who I have been very close to ever since. He is the sort of guy who can always make you laugh no matter what mood you're in. We have also been roommates ever since we arrived at the academy.
But I'm getting off topic. I sat up in my bed, stretched my arms and yawned. I got up and went over to my iPhone docking station

Back at my desk, trying very hard to avoid the welcome ceremony, I was toying around with a chinese puzzle, forcing it into twisted angles and ends, when Jean huffed into the room carrying a rather heavy stack of papers, her knees buckled beneath her. I mentioned towards the pile and asked,
"Is that the new math syllabus, or your wish list for Christmas?"
"Very...funny...Just...where to put..." I looked around my messy office for a moment, considering a dozen or so ways to have fun before I delve into the thickness of math.
"Put them by the couch." Nodding, she slowly strode over step by step, agonizingly slow, just as I had hopped. Just as she was about to place the pile down, I changes course.
"Nah, there isn't any space there. Put then on top of the filing cabinet."
"Now woman!" I commanded, Jean grunting and hulled the pile of papers to the other side of the room, her knees bent with broken chopsticks. Once again, I did a complete turn.
Eyes In The Sky - Chapter IIIt was Friday, the last school day of the week for some of the senior students, including me. I woke up to find Jake still asleep. This was my chance to claim the morning shower first before the hot water ran out. After that was done I woke up Jake. We would go to breakfast together every morning and today was going to be no exception.Eyes In The Sky - Chapter II3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"Bro, wake up! We got to get to breakfast before it gets too crowded."
He slowly opened his eyes and immediately looked at the clock only to realise that he was already a bit behind schedule. He quickly got out of bed and hurried into the shower. It took him only five minutes, an astonishing speed compared to how long it usually was. At last, we both made it to breakfast. We always tried to get there as early as possible to avoid the huge crowds which always resulted in long waiting times until you would actually get to your food.
After we had eaten we made our way to our first class of the day, which on Friday was always Battle class for me and Jake. It
Eyes In The Sky - Chapter IVWe entered the massive hall and headed straight for the bar to get ourselves some drinks. The music was at a decent volume but still quiet enough to understand what the person next to you was saying. The dance floor, located in the middle of the room, was packed with people. It was really amazing to see just how many senior students the academy had. Jake and I were the ones who preferred to rather watch the action over being part of it. We got ourselves a beer found a table to sit down. A few minutes later we saw some familiar faces approaching our table. It was our friend Boris, a bipedal dragon. With him was a beautiful girl with blond hair stumbling over in her high heels.Eyes In The Sky - Chapter IV3 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"Hey guys! How's it going?" Boris asked.
The two of us looked at each other and smiled.
"Pretty damn good, I'd say." I answered.
"Well, may I introduce you guys to my good friend Tara? This is Leroy and Jake, two of my good friends from last year. Tara, interestingly for you Leroy, is a harpy." Boris said.

We rushed through the academy until we arrived at the infirmary located at the western end of the main building were we ran into someone familiar straight away. It was Valerie, the nurse that helped me throughout my entire academy life every time something was wrong with me.
I started to go on and on to her, “Valerie, thank god you’re here. Jake is badly hurt. You have to help him otherwise he...”
I couldn’t even finish my sentence before she stopped me from talking my head off. “Leroy, Leroy! Calm down... breathe... and tell me what happened.”
“I came back to the room and found Jake lying on the floor, unconscious. I don’t know what happened.

"Steelix," commands his trainer, "Use Flamethrower!"
Steelix spits out a stream of hot fire. I don't need my trainer's command to dodge it perfectly.
"Nice job Lucario! Now use Aura Sphere!"
I gather my energy, focus it into a ball and hurl it at my opponent. There's no chance of escape. Their efforts are futile. The sphere makes impact and "Brandon! Get up or you'll be late for school!"
"Ughhaaa what?" My dad woke me up and I was back in my room, and it was 6:30 am. "Oh man, it was just another stupid dream." I yawned, climbed out of bed, and hopped into the shower.
Oh yeah, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Brandon. I'm 15 years old and I live on Long Island. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a Pokémon fanatic, though I'm not the obsessive type, like the geek who collects all of the posters and dolls. But, I do know nearly everything there is to know about Pokémon.
20 Facts About Pokeumans!1. The dream that inspired Pokéumans was actually me staring at myself in a mirror and seeing myself as a Lucario, and trying to use telepathy. The base setting was inspired by the story "Pokémorphs 101 - Lucario TF" by AuraGuardianHadou, in fact there are many parallels to it.20 Facts About Pokeumans!2 months ago in General Fiction More Like This
2. Most of the series has been written from the gut, very rarely do I plan out plot points ahead of time. For example, Energy Channeling was something I came up with initially to justify Brandon's powers. However some parts of the story were planned from the beginning, such as the Pokéxtinction base raid, the dream machines, Cameron's Dark rage, the Legendary Keys and the PokéDimension.
3. Chapter 11 was the fastest chapter written, it was written in only 2 weeks. Chapter 18 is the longest, with over a year.
4. Reggie is based on Grovyle from PMD, he also wasn't named after Nintendo of America's Reggie Fils-Aime, I just happened to like the name. Reggie's death was also planned in the ea

The nimble fourteen-year old raced through the forest, clutching his only possession, his Gameboy with a copy of Pokémon Emerald. He vaulted over the fallen trees, his heart beating rapidly as ran as fast as he could from his pursuers. His right arm was covered in green scales, covering his normal olive skin. He didn’t dare look behind him at the army of men who were chasing him, their footsteps growing closer, and their shouts growing louder…
“Don’t let that freak get away!”
“That little twerp’s gonna get it!”
Panting, the boy ran through the woods. He was nimble and quick, but was slowly running out of energy. If he could make it to the deepest part maybe he could…
Just then he heard a loud banging sound, and before he could turn around, he saw a flash of bright green and suddenly all his muscles tensed up and he crumpled to the ground. The Gameboy flew out of his hands and bounced away just ou

6:30 AM on a normal Tuesday morning.
Jerry groaned as he sleepily pounded his fist on the alarm clock. He sat up, wiped his eyes, and put on his glasses. Rolling out of bed, it was the usual routine. Shower, shave, brush teeth, comb hair. It was now 7 AM.
Jerry walked down the hall and peered into the adjacent room. His 13-year old daughter was still dead asleep in bed. He smiled softly, not even an earthquake could wake her up in the early hours. He slowly walked into her room and shook her gently…she looked so peaceful like this.
“Jenny…sweetie, it’s time to get up. You know what day it is.”
The teenage girl groaned and mumbled in her pillow. “Just five more minutes Dad…”
“Okay, but if you’re not up by then I’m eating them all myself.”
Jerry slowly walked stairs in his bathrobe, heading into the kitchen and brewing a pot of coffee. He opened the cupboard, getting out the bowl and mixer. I

That was all that I could sense. Nothing. But blackness. And silence.
Slowly, something was changing. The blackness was brightening. The silence was getting noisier, very slowly. Then things started accelerating. I could start to sense things again. I could see something now. My vision became sharper and an image started to appear. It was a face.
The muffled sound of speech came to my ears.
Words became more clear as my hearing recovered.
Suddenly, a loud bang woke my up from my trance and flakes of dirt landed all over me. This triggered my senses to fully recover and I felt a sudden shock as I came back to reality.
"I said, did you hear me?!!"
I grunted with surprise, taking in the shock of suddenly waking up.
"Come on, we can't lose you now! Are you alright?!"
My head suddenly hurt like hell. Almost like my mind was speaking for me, I said,
"M-my head hurts..."
The person nodded a
Pokeumans Chapter 7The door closed behind me. "This is it Brandon," I said to myself, "This is your chance to prove yourself. You've trained hard for this day. Now let's rock and roll!" I looked up. I was in a big room with four gold doors numbered 1 to 4. Each had a lock on it. I noticed the bottom of the handle of the key I was holding felt funny. I turned it over to see a big number 1. I remembered Reggie had said the first challenger was easy, but he was an experienced battler. I walked over to the first door and jammed the huge key into the lock and turned the key. The key stuck in the door, and it slowly slid open. I triumphantly stepped through the door to challenge the first of the Elite Four, and gasped when I saw my opponent.Pokeumans Chapter 74 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
It was a Snorlax, a BIG Snorlax. He was on his back on a giant cushion, snoring like a bear. I stifled a small laugh. This was my opponent? I had a major advantage against him, but still they wouldn't have let him in the Elite Four if he was a pushover. Then a thought came
Pokeumans Chapter 9The world became bright again and I fell about a foot or two from the air and landed on the grass on my back. "Well that was more powerful than when Mike teleports me " I moaned. The five of us had made it. We were in the tall grass a few feet away from a massive building. The sign said "Environmental Testing Facility" but it was a Pokéxtinction base. I just knew it. Nathan flapped his wings and preened himself, Starr sat up and rubbed her head, Cameron yawned for a second and Sakato stood and got into running position. My watch beeped. I pressed the little button on it and a holographic Asula appeared. "Brandon, did your party make it?" I nodded, "Yeah, we made it." Asula nodded, "Good, now use the holographic map to find a way inside the base. Remember, your job is to create a distraction while the B-team finds the Gemstone Files. Chapter 1: Reassurance
It was the second or third day of high school. He was the first one to sit down with me at the lunch table. At first, we just made idle small chat while I, being my usual social self, wished that he would leave me alone. In my fidgeting, my Gameboy slipped out of my pocket. I tried to reach for it discreetly, but he noticed. "What game you playing?" he asked.
"O-oh, just some dumb kid's game," I mumbled. I guess I must've tilted the console in such a way that he spotted the distinct, colored cartridge.
"You have Ruby? Awesome!" To my surprise, he pulled out his own Gameboy, a blue cartridge glinting from the bottom. "Do you have a zangoose you can trade me? I really want one of those suckers but they're not in this game."
I gave him Giza, my pride and joy. I had forgotten about the hours I'd spent breeding for a Shiny one. Somehow, impressing him was more impor
