Tell me a story. Whisper a poem.
Remind me of an appointment. Comment on the weather.
Speak to me when you don't know I can hear you.
Recite to me a soliloquy. Leave your scent on my pillows.
Dessine-moi un mouton. Appelez-moi votre petit chouchou.
Speak to me when you're anything but happy.
Spit venom at me when we've both done wrong. Solemnly report news I don't want to hear.
Wet my shoulder when you don't understand. Muse to me under the stars.
Speak to me when I need it the most.
Kiss words of encouragement on my disheartened cheek. Rub my back when my burdens are too heavy.
Hold me when they come to get me. Let me know that you're always there.
Speak to me.
Because I'm forgetting what you sound like.

The moon is set,
Flames of the fire grow dim,
The Cry of wolves being to howl,
Through the misty cold woods,
It is time for the ultimate hunt,
The enemy is near,
I grab my axe and bow,
And set off towards my enemy's lair.
When I Was A BoyI was a boyWhen I Was A Boy7 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
When I was born
Right away I knew
Even though the doctor
Told my mother
Its a girl!
I knew he was wrong
I was a boy
When I was one
My mom could never get me
To wear pink clothes
Or dresses with frills
So she never tried that hard
I was a boy
When I was two
Proudly proclaiming to my mom
Im a boy today!
Everyday before preschool
Even though she tried to explain
That I could pretend to be a boy
But I wasnt
I was a boy
When I was three
Everyday at school
With my friends in the mudbox
Having mud fights
Not caring how much dirt I got in my hair
I was a boy
When I was four
Playing with my friends
Who were all boys too
Seeing how many raisins
I could shoot out of my nose
Or how much sand
Could fit in my overalls
I was a boy
When I was five
Still formidable in my pigtails
Still able to beat up any other boy
With a broken arm
Always on the boys team
During Cootie Tag
Wondering why the girls would never chase me

Down, into the dark
With no one there to catch me
It doesn't matter to me, where I land
The hole seems to be grabbing ahold of me more often
Because I can't cope
There are too many little doors
And depression follows me around
Just like the Cheshire cat

Behind The NothingnessBehind The NothingnessBehind The Nothingness3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I used to play here everyday
Alone and with no light
Behind an ashen, big board
People calls as a piano
My fingers were dancing
With the old, cranky piano keys
And rhyming with all the chords and melodies I know
All the black and white
Became one amidst shadow
Behind the nothingness, I played wild
Raging and fighting against the false melodies
Sounded as I pressed the wrong parts of the song
This ears can never hear well
But my failures rang inside them
Behind the nothingness, my fingers kept playing
Without audience to sit before me
Without clapping hands to sound appreciation
Without a figure or even a shadow
Than the overwhelming darkness around me
Neither do I know
I closed my eyes or opened them
But I kept rounding with the same song
To finish what I had started
Behind the nothingness I have

Captive? Captivate? You hold my heart in your handsCaptive? Captivate?2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
And I'm scared
Filled with cold uncertainty
Knowing that one day you could leave and take my heart with you
Let's face it; Everyone does it.
I feel like you're no longer in my back pocket
And I'm scared
To know that you're moving on in life
While I'll always be that shy, sad girl
I feel like there's nothing of me to hold you.
So, the question:
How to captivate you, without holding you captive?
The Kraken's SeaThe Kraken's Sea:The Kraken's Sea3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
In the deepest night our ship was sailing
Quietly through the moonlit sea.
Until we saw the monstrosity rising
'By the gods, it couldn't be!'
From the watery depths we heard it shriek;
Tendrils arcing toward the sky.
Like harpoons cast toward the heavens
The time for battle was nigh.
My crew prepared the starboard cannons
As I steered my ship through the rumbling tide.
The vicious whirpool which drew us in,
Was the abyss in which the beast would hide.
Soon it began to strike at us;
Tentacles lashing like deadly whips!
Several times we were nearly broken
As it clicked and smacked its horrid lips...
'Fire!' I screamed as the cannons roared
Each one delivering a ball of death.
I watched as its skin puckered and burst
My heart racing with every breath...
The creature thrashed and writhed about
As its painful fury scattered the sea!
But slowly we watched it slink away
And our hearts lit up with glee.
Our grins soon turned to garish laughs
As we whooped

Why do this love this web comic, you ask?
Maybe it’s just the way the fandom rolls,
or how mean Andrew Hussie trolls.
It could possibly be Eridan’s accent (WWyeh?)
or even Feferi’s keyboard trident. (---E)
Some people say it’s Equius’ broken bows and arrows, ( D →)
but what about Nepeta’s meows and roleplays? (:33 <)
We really do love Sollux’s lisp,
and also when Karkat’s pissed. (FUCKASS!)
Including Kanaya's fabulous lipstick,
it's also Rose's amazing magic.
How about when Dave starts rapping
and Jade Harley begins napping?
We love Vriska’s eight-pupiled eye,
and how John is such an adorable guy.
Or maybe it’s with all the sprites
or how prospit glows bright.
Can’t forget about Derse’s darkness
or Gamzee and all his soberness. (WHOOPS.)
There’s also this thing with Tav and stairs
which he t

My Beautiful FilthMy Beautiful Filth:My Beautiful Filth2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
We'll start with the rose petals
scattered lavishly across the bed
A symbolic collage of my broken thoughts
like memories crushed and thrown into the winds
they lie where they fall, forever forgotten...
Tacks and nails shall line the floor!
A perfect representation of my painful steps
To walk forward was to suffer
to stand still was to endure
Like the insults thrown at me, like the physical abuse
they drive their way into my skin and remain embedded
Unable to be removed except by force
And now comes the masterpiece, the perfect finishing touch
A wall of words and photographs depicting my sorrows and greivances
The filthy shame of these long years and the pain which I've kept inside
Now I engrave it into this concrete canvas...
Let all the world know of what was done to me
even as I part from it...
For in death I swear they shall have no reprieve!
In life I wanted to be beautiful and in death I shall finally be so
For the weight of
