#88) I'm in love with Fluttershy. Kids at school have figured this out, and I can't hear the end of it... They do nothing but hate on me because I have sexual feelings for Fluttershy. Why are they doing this? Why can't they leave me alone? They even went so far as to follow me home and ah, watched me through my window having ah intercourse with a special Fluttershy plushie of mine... They went and told the whole school. I didn't even know they had followed me! After this, everything got worse.
I attempted (but luckily failed) suicide because of all these horrible things...

#101) Why do so many bronies lie about their gender? So many (guys) pretend to be girls and it's weird. This one guy pretended he was a slutty girl pony so guys would sex roleplay with him and treat him nicer and flirt with him. Am I the only person who thinks this is creepy? You shouldn't lie about who you are, should you?
Answer: Of course you shouldn't lie about who you are. You should know everything about everyone. I don't befriend someone unless I know at least the following details: what their blood type is; where they grew up; if they have a history of heart failure in the family; when they started to walk; what their first word was

#97) I am an open brony with everyone, except my parents. I'd tell them, but my dad will not approve. He even disapproved and called me gay when I was really into "Phineas and Ferb". Imagine if he found out [about "Friendship is Magic"]! There's no way he would approve. But I want to buy merchandise, shirts, and other stuff. So what do you think I should do about telling my parents?
Answer: Your dad sounds like a royal prick. I don't know what his upbringing was like, but your sexuality isn't defined by watching a simple TV show. "Phineas and Ferb" might be geared towards an audience younger than yourself, but I'm not sure why it would be co

#85) Why do bronies have such low self-esteem? On websites like Bronysquare and Ponysquare they're always wallowing in self-pity about how much their lives suck, and they come across as being really pathetic. Many of these people don't even know what suffering is. Even if their lives do suck the internet doesn't need to know about it!
Answer: While I'd like to say that people suffering from life problems should be able to receive help online, I do find myself getting annoyed by most of the excessively 'emo' internet comments I come across. I see bronies claiming that they're going to commit suicide more often than I'd like I've never

#94) I went to a brony meet-up and I thought it was pretty good fun until we went to Toys R Us. I was sceptical about a bunch of guys (no girls went to the meet) going to the little girl's section of the shop so I kept my distance and I'm glad I did – everyone there except for me became really creepily obsessive about the toys and it was embarrassing to be seen with them in the shop. After we left (I didn't buy anything and the girl on the till seemed really freaked out by us) I kind of felt awkward being seen with them and when they sang a song from the show really loudly at Pizza Hut I wanted to go home fast. What do you make of this?

#76) What are your thoughts about the little mini issue within the fandom regarding Lil Miss Jay - the artist who works on the grimdark version of Rarity? Sure, he might draw something people don't like. But on the other end of the argument he's received death threats from both haters and bronies (I mean yeah it's the internet but some arrests were actually made). Any specific thoughts?
Answer: This one was quite difficult to answer, as I tend to avoid Tumblr, and thus had to perform some genuine research before answering. Being friends with a variety of Tumblr-fluent people, I receive information every now and then, and I have heard about t

#107) So this isn't very easy for me to just come out and say to some guy I've never really talked to, but based on some of the answers I've read from you, you seem to know your stuff. You see, I have this really big problem right now. I seem to have a strange attraction--no, addiction, to Rainbow Dash. It's not a sexual attraction, it's a love attraction. The funny thing is I don't even like her personality. Well, at least in the show. The fan-fic versions of her are probably what tipped me towards her. But anyways, what I need is for some way, any way to get her out of my mind or something. I don't want to hate her, I just want to not be at

#79) As a woman should I be worried that the people that run our fandom are guys primarily (example: Equestria Daily)? I must say I was a bit offended when I saw sexualized ponies getting featured.
Answer: This is a fantastic question, because it's so multi-faceted and it raises genuine points about larger issues that exist in society. Despite feminism and suffrage, and policies that increasingly purport to grant women greater levels of equality, women are still marginalized in a lot of circumstances.
It's fair to say that Equestria Daily is a male-run website. You have the occasional female admin (Phoe springs to mind) but naturally, Sethi

#110) What would you say are the biggest misconceptions society at large has about the MLP fan community? Also, what would you say are the worst assumptions society has made about MLP fans that, unfortunately, are generally true?
Answer: I'm not sure how aware of the MLP fandom society at large is, and so I'd first point out that the majority of people do not, and will not ever, have any knowledge of the bronies. Those who do know of them, though, seem to have different perceptions, most of which appear to be negative. Having spoken to a few members of the public about "Friendship is Magic", a common misconception seems to be that the people

#64) I'm at college and my room-mate doesn't know that I like MLP. I'm embarrassed to mention it to him, but it's a problem because I can't draw or watch ponies with him in the room...which is all the time. What advice do you have for me?
Answer: I think you should be at an age now where you should be accepted for your inoffensive interests. He probably has his own interests that could be seen as embarrassing. You're living together for the foreseeable future, and so it's not healthy to keep something to yourself that you want to be a part of. It won't be much fun spending an entire year, or perhaps longer, hiding your interest and avoiding

#82) How long do you think "Friendship is Magic" will last for? What is a good amount of seasons? Honestly, I want it to go on until at least Season 8.
Answer: Season 8 is a stretch. This is really a two-part question. The first part is about how long I realistically think that the show will last, based on speculation and circumstantial evidence. The second is about how long I personally believe the show should last, which is a different matter altogether.
To engage with the first part, we know that the show at least has in front of it another 13 episodes. After that, more might be made, or the show may maintain its success based on repeats

#104) Aren't bronies and furries the exact same thing? I think it's funny that so many bronies get offended when they're compared to furries. I don't see furries getting quite as offended about the comparison. Hah.
Answer: This is really the million-dollar question: are bronies and furries the same thing? The answer is, awkwardly, a little bit of both. Let's set the cards upon the table: there are all sorts of variables that come into the equation when defining exactly what a brony is. That's the first difficulty; if a brony is merely an adult watching the show, then you can't effectively argue that they're furries by definition just for doi

#70) My friends have recently been dropping the show ["Friendship is Magic] and I feel kind of left out. Also, my boyfriend is a non-Brony and completely detests the show. I fear telling him that I like the show purely because he is unpredictable. I want to stay with him but I fear losing him.
Answer: First of all, let's approach the issue with your boyfriend. If he doesn't like the show that's fair enough, but he has no right to govern the kind of entertainment that you watch, and neither should you fear telling him such a trivial thing. Strong relationships are built on acceptance and mutual respect; he doesn't have to like the show, but h

Perched atop her balcony as per usual, Luna rolled her eyes before turning to face her sister, a little perturbed that her moment had been interrupted. Celestia couldn't read the annoyance on her sister's face and went right on to speaking with her now that she had Luna's attention, inadvertently ignoring her sister's mood.
"Your constellations were quite the marvel last night Luna."
The princess of the night sighed and closed her eyes, exhaustion beginning to set in to her body after having crept in the whole afternoon and night before, "Why thank you Celestia,"

"Logical Diction"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"And what is it that you are here for today, citizen?"
In the royal day courtroom there stood many ponies of all shapes and sizes, ranging from bulky earth ponies to slight pegasi to frail Unicorns all the way to the giant mixture of the previous three races, an Alicorn. Celestia sat on top of a regal and rich purple pillow on the side of the court away from the large doors that gave entrance to it. Next to her stood the green coated day captain, his posture rigid and his face plastered with a seemingly permanent smirk. On the other side of Celestia was her technically former student Starswirl who now spent his days acting mainly as her adviser and her chief spell maker. The rest of the courtroom was filled with various ponies who stood in various positions, some off to the side to observe while others formed a long line that reached the back of the giant and o
#58) I have been a fan of MLP since Season 1, continued to be one through Season 2 and I am looking forward to Season 3. But as time has gone by, I feel my initial excitement for the fandom has faded alot. I am not looking to new stories as much, nor new fanart and instead, I'm focusing on other things besides ponies. Am I not really a fan any more because my focus isn't on ponies so much?
Answer: Being a fan of something doesn't mean you have to experience it all of the time. It's like having a best friend: you don't need to necessarily talk to them all the time, or even see them for a long time, and yet you still just know that they're an
Friendship is Magic: The Crystal Empire ReviewAs a season premiere, "The Crystal Empire" both solidifies the growing visual decadence of "Friendship is Magic" and suggests that there isn't always a need for a two-parter at the start of every season. The growing tradition of attempting to become increasingly more 'epic' with every new season has, for the first time, failed to capture what the writers were undoubtedly going for with these two episodes. Nonsensical and lacking a focused direction, the "The Crystal Empire" struggles to channel its lofty ambitions into episode format.Friendship is Magic: The Crystal Empire Review6 months ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
Gorgeous hues of red and orange bled into deep violet as the sun set on the horizon. All across Equestria, ponies would be winding down, some enjoying the sight with their special somepony. Luna however paid no mind to the view, instead engrossing herself into her study. If it wasn’t for the final reading light fading from the sky, she might never have noticed it was time for her to raise the moon. Catching up on one thousand years of history and culture didn’t happen overnight, and at this rate Luna thought it might take another one thousand years.
#100) What prompted you to start your Brony Advice column? Also, you seem to get a wide range of questions concerning everything from personal relationship and social group issues, to commentaries on art and music, all surrounding the MLP fandom; do you ever find yourself surprised or caught off guard by the questions you receive, and do you ever have difficulty answering them?
Answer: I started this column with a simple dream: a dream of understanding brony thought-processes. I like to do my best to observe the fandom and draw from it what I can. A good way of doing this is via samples and case studies. Some excellent case studies are in th
#67) Is clopping bad? I've done it before and I don't really understand why other bronies find it disgusting. Maybe it's just me. >.<
Answer: With the amount of clopping questions I receive with this column, it's hardly a wonder why a lot of people think that bronies are sexual deviants. Now, in terms of your question itself, the fact that you don't see why other people might find it disgusting is worrying, because you're admitting to not being able to contemplate why people would think it odd to masturbate to cartoon animals.
To be honest, to apply a label of 'bad' on clopping is a big generalisation, as it all comes down to opinion. It i
#73) My best bro and I have been bronies for a while now. I would never bring up being a brony on purpose to anyone who didn't know. But now we're doing a project in Literature class, and my friend is doing his on how he became a brony. I don't think it's a good idea. In fact, I find it embarrassing. What should I do?
Answer: This is something that seems to happen reasonably often people become big fans of "Friendship is Magic", and then fancy teaching the world to sing by shedding light on it in a class. And while you could argue that older individuals liking the show is an interesting point of observation, it's not particularly aca
