Johnny peered out of the cockpit window, his brow arched and his mouth sneering crookedly, "This is the capital?" He asked. Before him lay a red landscape of dusty, tall buildings which were lined together like great canyon walls, the streets appearing to be a ancient dried up river bed, only flowing now with ships and the eerily scarce civilian on foot. The capital of this small, relatively new moon was given the name Grall, a Marlek word that seemed oddly fitting even on the human tongue. The skies were clear, the sun shining brightly over head scorching the outside temperatures to over one hundred degrees. However a red hue hung everywhere as the thick atmosphere, while sustainable, took on nearly the same red color as the dirt of the earth. Here fresh water did not fall from the sky, for even the clouds were tinged with dust.
Sangela nodded slowly, "I was researching before we came here. This planet was corporately funded, a minin
Rob the Voraphile: Chapter 1Starting as a child I always found something so interesting, even desirable about some creature swallowing another alive. I would flip through books and find pictures of dragons and monsters with their victims in mouth, and would become overcome with a strange sensation, one that I would only truly understand later in life. Now before I continue my story I must ask that you keep an open mind here, sometimes I can hardly believe it my self.Rob the Voraphile: Chapter 14 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I think it all started when I was about ten years old. I remember I was sitting in bed, thoughts focused on my secret little desire. How I wished I could somehow shrink down and explore the depths of some other creature. And then, to be honest I still can't really explain how I do it to this day, it happened. I found myself looking out over the blue landscape of my bed. If I had to guess I'd say I was about an inch tall, and scared out of my wits. I walked out over the rolling hills of blue covers looking up at the white sky over my head wondering wh
In a Giant LandMike leaned his elbows on the railing, eyes staring down into the dark blue water. A yellowing white rope clung tightly to the railing as it dipped down into the ocean. He followed the rope until it disappeared into the depths. He let out a long sigh, eyes rising towards the horizon, gently rising and falling as the boat made its way across the open ocean. As his eyes scanned the horizon he noticed a little blip where the sky met the ocean. He squinted at it but after a minute forgot about it. He turned his back to the water and looked up to where his father was steering the vessel. His eyes scanned across the blue letters painted on the cabin, "Juliet" the mother he only remembered through old polaroid photos. He sort of blankly stared at the name until he heard a knocking. In a Giant Land4 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Issac stared out the window before him, the blinds had been drawn up for a change. Usually they sat securely shut so his computer would remain in its optimal light. It was a cold, dry Virginia winter day, a small lake of snow remained on the ground from a previous storm. He wondered if he would miss it. He wondered if he would ever call this place home again. He had spent the past four years on the west coast but Virginia was always home to him. Not that home held much of a strong calling to him. He never really got homesick while in college, but leaving earth was quite a few steps different. He glanced over his shoulder into his room, his bags were packed and his posters remained on the walls with his bed still made. He turned back towards the window, chewing on the tip of this thumb as he tried to examine his mind. The excitement had been overwhelming any self doubt so he thought it was best that he try and see if t
Troublesome Magic ch.13Within the hour they were on there way. Nika lived just on the other side of the wide forested region, just beyond the borders of the Castles reach. She belonged to a people called Neko, whose slightly animalistic characteristics brought much fear and distrust from the regular human. However, the two have lived rather peacefully until Jared had taken over, once again instilling notions of purity of the human race. Though war has yet to break out there have been some violent clashes near the boarders, mostly just common folk racism.Troublesome Magic ch.134 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Darius felt rather uncomfortable being carried around everywhere, especially when every five minutes he would be traded between Sarah and Wendy. He was almost forgetting what it was like to be normal anymore. Brooke walked ahead of them with a smile, occasionally glancing back at Darius, who would look back pleading with his eyes for her to rescue him from his giggling escorts. He finally got some relief when Wendy set him on her shoulder, freeing him from t
Troublesome Magic ch.12Darius sighed, leaning back into the soft, wrinkled wall. The sounds of Brooke's body sloshed all around them, he could make out each step she took as a deep thump. The sound of air rushing in and out was just barely audible over the beating of her heart and the other wet smacks and gurgles beyond the stomach walls. "You're not a fairy...are you?" She asked.
He sighed, "No"
"You were the one that killed my father?"
"I understand if you want to part ways with us once you are out of here, consider this payment for the emotional damages I might have caused"
"No, I have no where else I would want to go, or could go really" She went silent, "How did you kill him?"
"Are you sure you want to know?"
"Yes, tell me"
"I will start from the beginning, to help you understand who I am, what I did and why" He went on to explain to her everything, his voice drowning out all the sounds of Brooke's inside. He told her of

He was a bit startled, though the reality of his situation did not hit him until he looked up and saw silver lines start to streak through the air. "Oh not rain!" He muttered quickening his pace, a new sense of urgency in his step as he searched for a way inside. He tried to duck the massive balls of water but soon he was overtaken by the wet splashes. Each droplet sent him to his stomach on the rough stone. His body ached with cold and fatigue, his lungs burned. "Mmm." Kikata's voice hummed pleasantly as she lay upon her stomach in her room, feeling a soothing warm sensation tingle over a new section of her back. Tiny steps sent tingles over her increasingly sensitive skin. "This feels so nice."
Richard smiled, holding a sort of mop like tool in his hands which he used to spread a white colored massage gel over Kikata's lower back. He didn't bother replying to her compliments, from here he would have to raise his voice to actually speak with her. His bare feet practically slid across her smooth, and now slick skin as he gathered some more of the gel in front of the mop before making his way towards the right side of her torso. He glanced over to the area that he had already completed, catching a glimpse of her still shining rear end, perhaps one of his favorite areas whenever he did this, whenever her tail moved out of the way. The new apartment was pretty nice. In all honesty it was more like a house with the size and all. If humans lucked out in any respect it was finding pretty large pads for cheap. It was a low flying building, essentially two floors of larger rooms for your Neko, Marlek, whoever, and then the top floor were the human rooms. We had a fast access to the roof where they had a few landing pads for the human bus, and a little further down was the hybrid pads.
We had thrown a little party to celebrate our first place. That Mary girl had shown up, had she not left with her other friends I might have just made a move out of desperation. Angelus knelt down, examining the tracks presented before him. Heavy metal boot, presumably the ones that he had been tracking for the past three days. He stood up, checking that his twin chokuto were still in their respected scabbards before he continued on.
He was the last surviving Blade Master of his Village, everyone else else, even the women and children. Even his father. Although he was the youngest Blade master, a mere eighteen years old, circumstances had made it so that he had survived the attack of an army of black armored knights, who had come, killed, and left without a trace. He sighed, wiping his silver hair out of his eyes. The jungle was wreaking havoc on his health, and he couldn't go on much farther. Only the tracks he was following gave him hope.
That hope was quickly smashed as he reached the next clearing. Across the edge of the clearing there was a large scrape across the ground, the obvious trail of a Giant Naga. He shuddered briefly, b
The Honeymoon: Chapter6Alicia closed her eyes as she absorbed the warmth of the setting sun. The cool blue waters lapped gently at her ankles, the soft calls of wildlife filling her ears as the jungle prepared itself for the night to come. Her light blue eyes opened and gazed across the lake, the waters shimmering in that yellow and orange light of the dying day. Her heart was overjoyed, yet nervous as the day had finally come. Her gaze shifted down, her chest draped by a light silk dress...she hadn't worn a dress since she was a child. The tailors had worked endlessly for her, though her dress still only reached down to her lower thighs she was forever in debt to them. Her hair had been thoroughly washed and done up, with the help of Liza and a few more local women, in a customary wedding knot on the back of her head. The Honeymoon: Chapter64 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Solitude: ch 1Roaring from the friction upon hitting the mostly Helium atmosphere, the meteor burned red, then orange, then white in mere seconds. It fell with the intent of leaving its mark on the moons surface and struck it with such incredible force it could have annihilated a populated city and lay waste to the surrounding area.Solitude: ch 16 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
Fortunately for everyone, this moon was barren as could be. The Helium atmosphere and lack of natural resources short of the silicon in the soil which gave it it's yellow coloring from space didn't really make it a prime location for terraforming. Another feature of the moon was an irregularity in its magnetic field, which drew a vast majority of the asteroids and meteors that came near straight to it.
In an underground compound on the planet, some 200 miles from the impact site, a red light blinked in harmony with a chirping alarm. The base was originally a meteorite examination facility with the purpose of gathering samples and learning what they could from them. Built
Nova Force:Ep5 part 1The next week was more of a vacation really. As was to be expected drifting around in uncharted space, there wasn't really anything there. They spent their time naming planets and stars, occasionally dipping down into the atmosphere of an interesting planet to find it to be a lifeless husk of rock or liquid. But the thought that they might be out here staying out of trouble persisted in Kikata's mind. They had no equipment to take earth samples, nor were they authorized to actually name and identify planets. Why wouldn't they just bring them home? The more she thought about it the more it didn't seem to make sense...unless of course they knew that space station would be out there, then what else would they know? Perhaps they believed that the enemy had gone into hiding in these darkened regions? That would make sense.Nova Force:Ep5 part 14 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

A Fresh Start
Richard still wasn't used to it. When he closed his eyes the only thing that reminded him of home was the smells. Food, earth, air fresheners, and that strange homey smell tied to every family were nonexistent on the ship. The ship smelled like nothing. It resembled the vacuum of space outside of its hull. Everything was clean, metal or plastic. The smell of cooked meals were quickly sucked out of the air and replaced by pure clean air. It was the one odd thing that you got to miss out in space. You can dress up your ship and display a hologram over the windows and it will look and feel like home, but you could never get it to smell like home.
As Richard thought on it, blankly staring at the flashing colors of the television, he began to wonder if Earth was even home anymore. He was used to being carried or riding a shuttle when ever he had to move from one area to the next. The thought of having everything he needed within wal

With a deep sigh Kikata took in all the rich smells of nature, it had a familiar feeling but the smells themselves were so alien. Her golden eyes remained shut as she could feel the bright sun caressing her skin. The shallow, warm water beneath her gently lapped at her legs, thighs and the small of her back. As the faint whirring of a small engine flowed into her ears her golden eyes finally opened. Her soft, serene smile broadened into a gleaming white grin as the small water craft slowly came to a halt by her knee.
"These things are a blast!" Richards voice called up. He sat back on his jet ski and removed his sunglasses, his right hand reaching up to brush the water out of his freshly buzzed hair.
"I believe it. You've been out there since morning." Kikata replied with a giggle. She lowered a hand into a water and twirled her finger within the shallow bank, kicking up a brown swirl of silt. "It is so nice here. What do they call this la

"So tell us what you know." A disembodied voice called into a dimly lit, circular gray room.
Sangella glanced down to Johnny who sat on his own elevated platform below her. He caught her gaze and shrugged. "We do not know much from before we got there." She began, "I wasn't even aware of the settlements existence before Lorth approached me."
"He made no efforts to contact you before your meeting in Fath'ax?"
"None whatsoever." Johnny replied.
"He never went into detail about his dealings prior to recent events?" The voice continued to ask.
"He only ever mentioned that he held a position beneath Roko, and that he often worked with numbers for the business." Sangella said. She could hardly believe that he was even being brought to trial. Money and paper fraud seemed like such a minor offence compared to the good he did. "If I can say somethin-"

How many times had she come to sit in the same spot? How many times had she seen the young swordsman go through his training exercise, the same series of slashes and parries? She must have seen the scene played out over a hundred times... and yet he never once knew he was being watched.
Sterling sheathed his sword and dropped his hands to his knees, thoroughly exhausted. He panted for nearly a minute, trying to catch his breath, as he again played out the dance of sword-and-wielder in his mind.
He had trained for several months, from the first day the war in the east had started and his father had been called into battle. His mother, working diligently each day in the castle kitchens, left her son with only a handful of chores; once they were completed, Sterling was free to do as he pleased.
Thus, just like the countless days before it, Thursday found the knight-to-be in the small forest glade, swinging the sword left to him by his father in the many arcs and twists that made

"Yes. This is home." Kikata said as a smile continued to spread wider across her lips.

The sky had opened up into a perfectly clear day to accept them, the bright blue waters below sparkling brightly in the warm day. Richard was shocked at how massive the expanse of forest was below them, the only breaks in the green landscape being the long blue river and the equally massive body of water in the distance. They skimmed across the tall tree line until a large white structure came into view. It was the Neko home base.
